Overview
########
Chatot gets STAB Boomburst and Chatter; (comma to semicolon) the latter gives it alast one gives him 100% chance to confuse the target of confusion, which is a niche. Unfortunately, Chatot is a very frail attacker due to its low defensive stats coupled by with its weakness to Stealth Rock, and it (move sentence to *) But It has a nice Special Attack stat and ordinary base Speed for the metagame. Against slower teams it could be threatening, such as like stall teams without Bastiodon. (*) It isn't the faster pokemon, it is outsped by common Pokemon like Swanna, Simipour, and Frogadier.

evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
nature: Timid
Moves
========
Boomburst is a very strong STAB move that allows Chatot to muscle through any Pokemon that doesn't resist it. Chatter is a great STAB move for Chatot for its 100% confusion chance, and thoughthere are the 2 reasons to use it, it is not a very powerful move, (comma) but confusion gives Chatot a is good, giving him chance to use sub Substitute. Nasty Plot gives extra power to Chatot's his moves, instantly doubling its Special Attack. (period) it doubles instantly its SAtk, but there are Other options can be used over on it, depends depending on the team, such as Encore, Substitute and Hidden Power Ground. Encore is a nice support move; (comma to semicolon) Chatot it can use it against boosters or hazard setters. Substitute is nice to set up and spam Boomburst or Chatter, giving Chatot a buffer wall to take hits and an immunity to status, which make it pretty annoying versus stall teams. Hidden Power Ground can be used is to weaken Chatot's counters, (comma) like Bastiodon and Electrode, but using it means Chatot has to forgo the utility of Encore and Substitute gives vulnerability against status moves and it can't set up on set up moves or hazard setters. (I think I captured basically what the original said, and you already talked about what advantages Encore and Substitute give Chatot.)
Set Details
========
The EVEvs spread with a Timid that nature is used to maximize Chatot's power and Speed. Life Orb makes it a fearsome freesome special sweeper, while Leftovers' and the other option is Leftovers, a passive recovery lets Chatot make more Substitutes and helps to sub, to recover HP when you are behind the Substitute, no leftovers can Sbustitute for 4 times, with leftovers one more Substitute, but Life Orb gives him more power. The last 4 EVs are put into on Defense and not into on HP to reduce Stealth Rock damage.
Usage Tips
========
Behindthe Substitute, Chatot it deals heavy damage with Boomburst, a powerful STAB move. Thanks to the confusion from using Chatter and the free turns granted by Encore, there are more opportunities opportunity to use Substitute improve, same thing to Encore against set uppers or hazard setters. Using Use Chatter and Substitute to deal make chip damage to the target against the opponent, and spam Boomburst when resistance resists are gone. Nasty Plot should be used only on switches. Chatot can be switched in after a KO, to revenge kill, (comma) or after a slow Volt Switch or U-turn user volturner; (semicolon) this is to give it have a safe switch in without taking damages.
Team Options
========
Chatot appreciates Sticky Web, (remove comma) to outspeed faster Pokemon users. Late-game cleaners that can sweep once the opposing enamies team has been weakened, such as Serperior. Spikes / Toxic Spikes users to support him, like Garbodor and or Roselia, deal extra damage giving to enemies, supporting Chatot the opponent extra damage, Stealth Rock too. Bouffalant and Tauros, (remove comma) can be used for a the normal spam core, weakening and hit weaken Chatot's counters. Golem and Piloswine have nice synergy with Chatot because they syngeri to hit Electrode and Bastiodon, its most common counters.
Other Options
########
There aren't a lot of other options for Chatot; (semicolon) the only one is a set with either Choicethe choicer: Specs or Choice Scarf. (comma to period) Choice Specs Chatot has almost no switch-ins and deals makes huge damages with Boomburst, (comma) and Choice Scarf Chatot is a nice revenge killer that rkiller. Choice Specs gives him great power, because 120 Power + STAB + Specs = no switch in for opponent. Scarf can outspeed big threats. U-turn can be a nice option on these Choice sets items can locked you, to reduce forced hard switches in.
Checks & and Counters
########
**Soundproof**: Pokemon with the ability Soundproof, (comma) such as Mr. Mime, Bouffalant, Bastiodon, and Electrode, (comma) can switch intoon any of Chatot's sound-based moves as they are immune to them. Mr. Mime and Bouffalant take little to no damage from Heat Wave and Hidden Power Ground and can potentially set up on Chatot making them counters.
**Steel-types**: Steel types such as Metang, Klang, and Bastiodon can take Chatot's STAB moves, (remove comma) thanks to their resistance to them. Bastiodon is immune to Chatot's sound-based moves, (comma) and takes minimal damage from Heat Wave, (comma) and can KO Chatot with Rock Blast, but it has to be wary of switching into on Hidden Power Ground, which because after a boost it has a chance to OHKO it with Life Orb and a boost. Metang takes minimal damage from Chatot's STAB moves , 2HKO Chatot with Meteor Mash, and set Stealth Rock, but it has to be wary of Heat Wave and from HP Ground, which after a boost, can 2HKO it after a boost Chatot. Metang can 2HKO Chatot with Meteor Mash and can also set up Stealth Rock on it. Klang takes minimal damage from Chatot's STAB moves, (remove comma) but has to be wary of Heat Wave, which after a boost can OHKO it after a boost. Klang, however, can set up a Shift Gear and potentially OHKO Chatot after Stealth Rock damage rocks.
**Special Bulky** (asterisks): Special walls with nice bulk, such as Mantine and Regice, can switch into on Chatot's moves, (remove comma) thanks to their great bulk. Mantine can threaten Chatot with Scald, while Regice can KO it with Ice Beam.
**Rock-types**: Rock-types, such as Carracosta and Golem, safely switch intoon Chatot's STAB moves, (remove comma) and they can threaten Chatot out with their Rock-type STAB moves, such as Stone Edge for carracosta or Rock Blast by Golem. However, But they have to be wary of confusion from Chatter as well as taking or take big damage from Hidden Power Ground.
**Priority**: Priority users such as Carracosta and Piloswine, (remove comma) can threaten to and revenge kill Chatot, (remove comma) with Aqua Jet and Ice Shard, respectively. However, Carracosta does not appreciate appriecate an Hidden Power HP Ground, (comma) and Piloswine does not like taking a Boomburst.
**Electric-types**: Electric-types such as Raichu, Electrode and Choice Scarf Rotom-F can outspeed Chatot and threaten it with their STAB moves. Rotom and Raichu do not appreciateapprieciate taking a strong move from Chatot due to their frailty, (comma) while Electrode is immune to Chatot's main moves thanks to Soundproof.
**Revenge Killers**: Faster revenge killers, (comma) such as Tauros, Kadabra, Dodrio, Ninetales, (comma) and Choice Scarf Rotom-F, (comma) can threaten to revenge kill Chatot, ; (remove comma and space) however, they don't appreciate switching into Chatot's STAB moves.
