With access to both Trick Room and Magic Coat, Cresselia shines against offensive teams, checking Mega Salamence, Rayquaza, Primal Groudon, Ground Arceus, Mewtwo, and Deoxys-A thanks to its great 120 / 120 / 130 bulk. Furthermore, Cresselia has access to Lunar Dance, a rare and useful utility move that prevents Cresselia from being total setup bait by letting it get a teammate in healthy. However, Mega Gengar and Steel-type Pokemon give it a very hard time. Balanced and stall teams, which don't care about Trick Room, run many Pokemon that wall Cresselia. It also lacks a phazing move, which makes it setup bait for any Pokemon running Aromatherapy, Substitute, or Refresh. Finally, Cresselia faces steep competition with Lugia, especially with regards to defensive duties.

Moves

Trick Room has a strong niche against offensive teams. Lunar Dance allows Cresselia to heal any Pokemon on the player's team but KOes it in the process. Toxic is used to cripple Primal Groudon as well as other Pokemon that can take advantage of Cresselia's lack of offensive power to set up. Ice Beam 2HKOes Mega Salamence and Rayquaza. It also chips away at Pokemon neutral to it and prevents Struggle recoil if Cresselia happens to get crippled by Taunt. Alternatively, Magic Coat bounces back Taunt, status moves, and entry hazards. However, it should only be used instead of Ice Beam if the team has another Mega Salamence check.

Set Details
========

Maximum HP and Defense EVs with a Bold nature maximize Cresselia's physical bulk in order to deal with Primal Groudon, Ground Arceus, and Mega Salamence well. The remaining EVs are invested in Special Defense to offer a negligible amount of help against special attacks such as Primal Groudon's Lava Plume. Mental Herb allows Cresselia to use Trick Room even through a foe's Taunt. Alternatively, Rocky Helmet is a very useful item to inflict chip damage on physically offensive Pokemon such as Mega Salamence and Extreme Killer Arceus. It is also good against Dragon Tail Primal Groudon trying to phaze Cresselia on the switch.

Usage Tips
========

Against hyper offense, Cresselia can only use Trick Room once, so time it well. Also, make sure to keep Cresselia healthy for Mega Salamence and Rayquaza. However, pay attention to Rayquaza because its Choice Band set 2HKOes Cresselia with Dragon Accent. Use Lunar Dance when you don't need Cresselia anymore or when you really need to heal a certain threat's check. Against stall and bulky balanced teams, use your stallbreaker until it's weakened, and then switch it out to heal it later with Cresselia's Lunar Dance. Never use Trick Room against stall teams, as Pokemon on these teams are really slow. Against Xerneas with Aromatherapy or any other Pokemon trying to set up on Cresselia, use Trick Room and then use Lunar Dance to bring in your check to them, especially if it's weakened. Against Taunt users, use Trick Room on the same turn Mental Herb activates, and then use Toxic or switch out. If you opted for Rocky Helmet, make sure to switch Cresselia in on possible contact moves.

Team Options
========

Cresselia shines on balanced and bulky offensive teams. It's especially good with Pokemon that can take advantage of Trick Room like Eruption Primal Groudon, offensive Life Orb Dialga, and Mega Mawile. It should also be paired with strong stallbreakers that can be healed with Lunar Dance such as Perish Trap Mega Gengar and paradancer Primal Groudon. Checks to Xerneas like Primal Groudon, Klefki, and Ho-Oh are mandatory. Finally, switch-ins to Dark-type attacks, such as Klefki and Xerneas, and to Ghost-type attacks, such as Yveltal, should be on the team to patch up Cresselia's weaknesses.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A fully defensive set with Moonlight / Toxic / Ice Beam / Protect is decent but outclassed by Lugia. Psychic is an option to hit Mega Gengar hard. A dual screens set with Light Clay is a noteworthy option. Finally, Icy Wind could be used instead of Ice Beam to slow down foes. However, Ice Beam is stronger, and Icy Wind is counterproductive with Trick Room.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Mega Gengar**: Mega Gengar is immune to Toxic and takes little damage from Ice Beam. It will trap Cresselia and KO it.

**Steel-types**: Steel-types, such as Klefki, Bronzong, Ferrothorn, Skarmory, Aegislash, Jirachi, Forretress, and Mega Scizor, are immune to Toxic. They can cripple Cresselia with Toxic or set up entry hazards if it lacks Magic Coat.

**Aromatherapy + Geomancy Xerneas**: Xerneas can set up on Cresselia and rid itself of status with Aromatherapy if Cresselia uses Toxic.

**Refresh and Substitute Users**: Pokemon with these two moves, such as Calm Mind Arceus formes, can set up Substitute on Cresselia and use Refresh if inflicted with Toxic.

**Dark- and Ghost-type Pokemon**: Darkrai, Yveltal and Ghost Arceus can Taunt Cresselia or hit it with super effective STAB attacks.

**Taunt Users**: Mental Herb only works once. After that, Cresselia is totally vulnerable to Taunt.

**Mega Sableye and Mega Diancie**: Mega Sableye and Mega Diancie have Magic Bounce and thus can bounce Toxic back to Cresselia. They also take minimal damage from Ice Beam. It's also important to note that Mega Sableye is slow and thus uses Trick Room to its advantage.

**Defensive Primal Kyogre**: Defensive Primal Kyogre has Rest to heal itself from Toxic, as well as Scald to deal decent damage to Cresselia.

I have no experience with this mon and I feel like she will have a ton of trouble working, so I won't stamp; I will give pointers, however. Seeing how no other fighting resists fit with cresselia, Mega Lucario owns her team extra hard if you do not lunar dance / sac cress into a steel resist after setting up TR. Primal Groudon is good at taking +2 BPs, though it weakens the Eruption which I assume tr oriented don run. Mention that Mega Lucario will force Cress to Lunar Dance and the TR team into a heavy commitment in general due to the loss of one of the teams more reliable TR setters. Mega luc in c&c should do the trick i think as it is more threatening than the other steels mentioned and actually does force a lunar commit.

In usage tips, I can really only see cress using TR once vs HO due to how easy she is to take advantage of without Lunar Dancing immediately. A statement outlining this instead of your generic "use TR as many times as possiblevs HO" statement. It can also be said that because cress will usually fall when right after using tr, she will no longer be a standing mence check, so another mence blanket (under tr prefferably) is needed andcan be mentioned in team options. It's this sorta overlap that makes me skeptical as to if a tr build will work at all. If it does work it will be a very tight fit.

+Helps versus stall and balanced teams by healing a Pokemon with Lunar Dance.

-Dead weight versus balance and specially stall outside of healing a Pokemon.
These two points feel somewhat contradictory and redundant. A way to fix this is make the positive bullet into something along the lines of "has access to rare and useful utility moves such as Lunar Dance and Trick Room" and then make the negative point something like "mostly dead weight against balance and stall because of x, y, and z".

In the intro instead of saying it's outclassed by Lugia you should say it's in steep competition with Lugia. If it was outclassed then we shouldn't be doing this analysis. In moves, mention the other things Ice Beam does (2HKO Rayquaza and Mega Salamence isn't the only thing). In set details talk about Rocky Helment and what Pokemon in particular it helps against. In usage tips elaborate more on how and when to use Lunar Dance, it might be obvious to you but it isn't to the reader. In usage tips I would also talk about how to play Rocky Helmet, and mention how you need to be wary of switching into Rayquaza because MixQuaza can 2HKO with Draco + Ascent and CB 2HKOs with Ascent. In team options you should extend the list of TR Pokemon that synergize well with this Pokemon.

In C&C Skarmory, Aegislash, Jirachi, Forry, and Mega Scizor can be added to the list of Steel-types. You should specifically list out all the Dark- and Ghost-types that check Cresselia in that section.

Probably worth mentioning in Team Options if you forgo Ice Beam(personally I think Magic Coat is better but that's just opinion) then you absolutely need a Refresh Mence check, even on TR.

Introduction: Not a good Mewtwo check, Taunt variants walk all over Cresselia and Taunt is common on all three Mewtwo formes. nvm herb variants give it a one-time solution to Taunt, and it can play games with Magic Coat too I guess. Also, Healing Wish prevents Cress from being total set-up bait, as it can get a check in healthy.

Moves: Remove 2nd sentence, even casual readers will know what Trick Room does.

Usage Tips: It's not gonna be able to set up TR more than once vs HO if it needs to check one of those beasts. I'd reword that.

Rest looks good. QC 3/3

Furthermore, Cresselia has access to Lunar Dance, a rare and useful utility move. It prevents Cresselia from being total set-up bait, as it can get a check in healthy. It also chips at Pokemon and prevents struggle recoil if Cresselia happens to get Taunted. Magic Coat Bbounces back Taunt, status moves (this could just be me, but by saying Taunt, then status moves kinda implies that Taunt isn't a status move. It depends what status move you mean tho - moves that cause status inflictions, or moves like Embargo that don't cause damage but have an effect), and entry hazards. Note: I really enjoyed grammar checking this analysis. It was quite good, but there are a few things you should keep in mind. Remember to use [type]-type when referring to a type - there were places where you did that, there were places where you didn't. Also, in a sentence, if you have more than one subjects / objects, and you use "it", make sure the reader knows what the "it" refers to; if you can't change it, then simply say 'Cresselia' instead of "it". For example: "Cresselia learns Moonblast but it isn't strong" could be inferred as Cresselia isn't strong, or Moonblast isn't strong, so it's always best to make it clear.
One more thing - in one section you said "Taunt, status moves, entry hazards". By seperating Taunt + status moves, you're saying that Taunt isn't a status move, when it is, so you might change it to "Taunt, status moves such as <status moves here> and entry hazards", to prevent confusion. Apart from that, seems good to me n_n

btw Sobi, try not to make pointless one-word changes when something is correct to begin with (e.g. versus -> against). also, your summary on it vs. pronouns is ok, but try not to take it too far; e.g.
They can cripple it (cripple Toxic or Cresselia?) with Toxic or set up entry hazards if it lacks Magic Coat.
"cripple Toxic" makes absolutely no sense, so there's no harm in using "it" here. pronouns are v. useful for avoiding repetition, so try not to avoid them unless it's _really_ required

otherwise, most of the changes you made appear ok, and it seems like the op left out the ones that were off, so good on him too :toast:
