OK so I didn't read over the rules for these posts before writing this, but I'm pretty sure I know how it goes and although I don't want to find images for all these mons, I know that I never look at RMT's without images so I'll do that for you guys. I made this team with the intention of using the 2 mons listed in the title as they are some of the hardest hitters in the tier and if we're being honest, feraligatr is absolutely ridiculous. This team was made extremely quickly and hasn't been edited besides the movesets and spreads, at all. Criticism is extremely welcome as I will admit right now that I do not think this team is great, and the criticism doesn't even have to be constructive, so have at it.

The terror himself, feraligatr. I know you're lazy, so I'll do the math for you, with the 1.69* boost alongside adamant base 105 brings him to 572 attack with incredible natural bulk and weaknesses to only electric and grass (which usually won't be coming from a stab hit), so he's pretty good at late game sweeps. If you have a burned pokemon locked into something, you can switch him in and sweep, but generally you want to look at your opponents team and decide who you need to weaken for him to have a chance at sweeping and whether you need 1 DD or 2 because 1 will not outspend mega beedrill/sceptile or common scarfers. If your opponent's only physical wall is rocky helmet arcanine then you know you're winning the match, no priority moves in the tier do any significant damage to him, but I suggest you keep him healthy

Feraligatr @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Ice Punch
- Crunch

You could consider super power over crunch but cresselia would be very hard to beat if you did that.

I know what you're thinking, dope right? Yea he's a really cool mega, but he's very predictable since this isn't a substitute or physical set. He's easily one of the 3 best megas in the tier alongside bedrill and aerodactyl, but in my opinion much better than aerodactyl. He is also very welcome as a grass type as the team has a humongous problem with water types and has absolutely no scald switch ins or status absorbers. He often will have to switch in to scalds, so it is encouraged that you mega evolve him early in the match so that your team can get a 4 times resist to water, as well as an offensive immunity to electric. It is very surprising how much damage he does with leaf storm, with a base 145 spA stat and a base 130 stab move I guess it shouldn't be too surprising. He does however have a lot of checks in the tier, especially fairy types, which this team struggles with. He is also walled by chandelure and checked by tentacruel, both being very big problems for this team.

Sceptile-Mega @ Sceptilite
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Leaf Storm
- Giga Drain
- Dragon Pulse
- Focus Blast

Focus Blast needs to be used over Hidden Power fire here to hit special walls that are weak to fighting like porygon and umbreon.

250px-Burgundy_Darmanitan.png

The last offensive pokemon, and easily the least useful on the team is darmanitan. Back when I used to play a lot of UU I had 3 favorite choice scarfers and they were pretty much my go-to scarfers in the tier. Mienshao, Honchkrow, and Darmanitan. Since I didn't have any fire type attacks, and because it was clear which of these hit the hardest, I went with Darmanitan. Darm is able to revenge all the offensive threats that this team struggles with (Bedrill, Aerodactyl, Sylveon, Chandelure, Coballion, Heliolisk, Nidoking, Roserae...the list goes on) and it is also able to gain momentum with a u-turn when the opponent switches out in fear of a sheer force stab flare blitz coming off a base 140 darmanitan. He would be better if i were able to pair him with a special attacker to u-turn into that wasn't as predictable as Sceptile. Nidoking comes to mind with his amazing move pool and very high attack, although it would not assist this team's water weakness at all.

Darmanitan @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Flare Blitz
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide

Flare Blitz and U-turn are musts, rock slide hits the flying and fire types that resist the other 2 moves and Earthquake fills the last slot to hit things like steel types that you don't want to flare bitz as well as poison types that aren't crobat.

I never thought I would be saying this, but I absolutely love sableye on this team. He is a very common lead to get the taunt off on the opponents dedicated leads, or to throw a burn out there which is always appreciated. I've always hated stally defensive mons like sableye, but I needed a check to other stally pokemon and sableye is the best hands down. His taunt makes things a lot easier for me and it helps him completely counter problem mons for this team especially Umbreon (check the replays at the end). He is weak to fairy and Forretress takes like 60 from a specs sylveon hyper voice so get ready to sac something when that thing comes in, but otherwise this is an absolutely fantastic check to so many pokemon in the tier. Most things do not appreciate his priority will-o-wisp and his recover allows him to scout against a lot of other things like scarf hydreigon, who can not even come close to OHKO'ing with draco, I think it does around 70. He also is a hard counter to so many threats to this team. He wrecks, porygon-Z, umbreon, heliolisk, Blissey, Snorlax and pretty much every physical attacker. He can not do much back to fire types immune to wisp or fairies which hit him very hard, other than that though he is an incredible special wall, status spreader, stall breaker, and pivot. He is also one of my only chances of beating suicune. I have to switch him straight in when they come in on rhyperior, taunt them, burn them and stall them down to around 50% until they kill me and give me a chance to revenge the weakened suicune. #BanSuicune

Sableye @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 248 SpD / 8 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Recover
- Will-O-Wisp
- Foul Play
- Taunt

Recover, Wisp, and taunt are absolutely essential and foul play is able to do some solid damage when physical attackers try to come in on him, although knock off would be a viable option as this team doesn't have a knock off pokemon. Also, you will often have to predict the espeon trying to switch in on your wisp and kill it with foul play or a tiny but of prior damage and rocks up allows you to kill a chandelure with foul play. I believe if they have 0 atk IV's it does around 50%.

Edit: Forgot to mention the 8 speed ev's are because I have no way of beating taunt sableye so this is an attempt to speed creep on them.

The physical wall meant to check many of the threatening set-up sweepers in the tier. I find myself hardly ever getting the chance to set up spikes, so perhaps that slot should change to something more useful like a toxic (gross) or perhaps stealth rocks and maybe I could replace my mediocre rocks setter with a much needed status absorber/scald switch-in (looking at you AV conkeldurr). Although, I often find myself wanting a switch-in to a special attack far more than a physical one, fortetress more or less does his job. Many offensive threats in the tier are beginning to carry fire coverage, but forretress can take a jolly fire fang from mega aero and always OHKO with gyro ball. The gyro is also very useful against fairies, when he gets the chance to fire back against florges and things like that. He is also the premier toxic switch in. Most of what I expect from him however is to reliably get a rapid spin off which he does very well, and he works as a great pivot when I know the opponent is going to switch out and I am able to get off a volt switch, which for whatever reason, he is able to learn. Watch out if your opponent has a Nidoking or Nidoqueen though because they will bring it in on forrey and block the volt switch, then you may be looking at a potential sac as sableye can not take those threats on.

Forretress @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Rapid Spin
- Gyro Ball
- Spikes
- Volt Switch

I often find myself considering a specially defensive set as it may be more useful, since most salemence are carrying fire blast, but that would leave me without a dedicated physical wall. Sturdy could be used, but with overcoat you can wall whimsicott pretty well and switch in on a predicted sleep powder from roserade. Defensive toxic spikes dual stab reserade is walled by this set and more common in the tier, but you should really scout for hp fire LO just in case, speptile is not an appropriate switch on a predicted sleep powder because of sludge wave and the inability to OHKO with dragon pulse or even come close for that matter.

Last and definitely least is rhyperior. I don't mean to disrespect the man, he's got great base stats, a great ability, stealth rocks, and a move to phase threats out. The cool thing about rhyperior is that, if you aren't talking about a stab water or grass move, then it pretty much is not killing him in one hit. He is the much needed fire resist that the team otherwise lacks besides the offensive mons, and he is able to hit a lot of things very hard that I would otherwise struggle with. With that being said, he is also one of the first mons that I look to sac when I know I need to sac something. When he's working best, he's setting up rocks and dragon tailing things around as my opponent tries to switch out on him. I am very open to him being replaced however.

Rhyperior @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpD
Adamant Nature

- Rock Blast

A swords dance set would be pretty sweet to apply some pressure, but I do not want to give up any of his moves. I know that dragon tail would be the one to go, but I do find a lot of use in it.

Alright that's the team, it seriously isn't great and I know this sounds like a lame excuse, but I was sick of my other team, couldn't find any teams on this forum that didn't have mons I hated, and wanted to see how gatr did in the tier (very well is the answer). Feel free to criticize, bash me, critique, or best of all, drop an even cooler team down below. If there's a suicune don't even both, infact don't even bother sharing your opinion. I wish you knew how much I hated that thing.

These replays aren't great, actually they're literally the first 5 games I played when I decided I didn't like this team and wanted to make my first RMT, but here ya go so you can see how the team plays a little bit.

Hey there, I'm sorry you hate Suicune so much considering you will see a LOT of it if you decide to continue playing UU. A Gatr + Scep offensive core seems to be enough to pressure it and make it useless for a game, but the defensive backbone could use some work. Let's start:

260.png
>
464.png

Swampert is a better fit than Rhyperior on this team due the the high threat of powerful Ground-types like Mamo, Krook, Nidos, and Mega Swampert. While it doesn't resist Ground, it isn't weak to it and fires back with a SE Scald (except against Swampert), so it has a much better matchup. You still retain a study physical Fire check and Stealth Rocker, so the change isn't too drastic.

You have very little ability to stop special Dragons from imposing their will on you, especially with things like Feraligatr, Forry, and Pert/Rhyperior inviting most of them in. You mentioned wanting something to throw at special attackers + a status sponge, so a Cleric Sylveon seems to be the perfect fit. It can keep Forry/Pert healthy which is huge since this seems like a balance team with only one mon that can recover its health. Darm seems to be a poor fit on this team despite its ability to grab momentum. It's not really effective on balanced teams, so Sylveon would help the team more.

160.png

DD Gatr is slightly ineffective in this metagame. Its poor speed leaves it outsped by Crobat (if Adamant), Beedrill, Sceptile, Aerodactyl, and all Scarfers are +1, and it faces competition from DD Gyara. Swords Dance over Dragon Dance is Feraligatr's bread and butter, and it pairs very nicely with Sceptile. +2 Gatr can cripple "checks" like P2/Umbreon for Sceptile while also taking pressure off of it as a Suicune check. +2 Crunches take a nice chunk out of Suicune while it only prays for a burn or roars you out. With this change, you should replace Ice Punch for Aqua Jet, since the lack of speed boost makes it more easily revenged. Aqua Jet mitigates this and smacks stuff like Mamos, Aeros, Bees, Chandelures, etc that think they can revenge you.

302.png

Knock Off > Foul Play has much more utility since it can actually annoy its counters like Fairies and Guts Fighting-types while also whittling defensive cores. It is also much more effective at wearing down Suicune since it doesn't get to use its Lefties to recover more health. Foul Play is nice for stuff like Entei sure, but Pert and Gatr should handle them well enough.
