Amaterasu begins the battle with a powerful Fire Blast that knocks the Vullaby back. Although her bones protected her against the bulk of the Fire-type attack, Wednesday's feathers look badly scorched when she gets back up again. What bad luck! She retaliates by spitting a toxic substance onto Toon's Pokémon, badly poisoning it! I wouldn't want to be in either of these Pokémon's shoes right now x.x

Amaterasu's second attack, a blazing Heat Wave, does less damage, blowing the Vullaby off the ground; however, she's able to regain her balance in the air. When the Fire-type goes for a follow-up attack, Wednesday trips her with her small foot, causing the Vulpix to stumble and take damage.

The Vulpix goes for a third strike, which is met pretty well by its Dark-type opponent, which seems to be using Roost to regain some health. Given the low amount of damage that each Pokémon has, we could be here for a while :/

How will Yoshiblaze respond to Wednesday's unfortunate burn? Will Toon be able to keep his HP lead next round with poison damage stacking up? Find out soon!

The round begins with a ring of the bell, and Amaterasu's normally motionless (but exotic) tails spring to life in a Fire Spin attack that envelops the Vullaby's protected body; her feathered opponent shoots out a blast of darkness, blowing back the Fox Pokémon. Very intense!

Wednesday follows up with an invisible blade of air from her wing, dealing some more damage, while Amaterasu focuses on chanting a spell. The move blocks three of Wednesday's attacks.

Toon's Vulpix calls forth another burning wind, which is met by... what? Yoshiblaze orders Wednesday to attack, but she doesn't succeed in really getting much done.

It looks like residual damage will have the most impact on this battle! Will Wednesday prevail because of Toxic's higher damage rate, or can Toon turn it around?

Right, here we go. Wednesday tries to lead off the round by protecting itself, but the barrier it created instantly decays-- an effect of Amaterasu's Imprison attack! Yoshiblaze is forced to pay for this mistake when his Vullaby meets another Heat Wave attack.

The follow-up attack by Amaterasu, a scorching Fire Blast, deals even more damage to the Vullaby! She tries to retaliate with an Air Slash, but it turns out that her earlier mistakes have cost her the match, and she finally faints after one more Heat Wave. Toon is the winner!
