[OVERVIEW]
Normal
========
* Diggersby is an excellent physical wallbreaker due to its access to Huge Power coupled with strong STAB moves in Earthquake and Return.
* Diggersby is very important for Normal teams, as they tend to lack a strong wallbreaker that can beat walls such as Chansey and Cradily.
* Diggersby also has excellent coverage in Fire Punch, allowing it to hit threats such as Celesteela, and Quick Attack, which is excellent priority due to Diggersby's monstrous damage output.
* Diggersby sits at a poor speed tier, being outsped by Xurkitree, Mamoswine, and all Pokemon with base 80 Spee; however, this poor trait is somewhat mitigated by access to Quick Attack.
* Diggersby is weak to common offensive coverage types such as Water and Ice as well as common priority moves such as Aqua Jet, Mach Punch, and Ice Shard.
* Diggersby's bulk isn't anything special, and it will be easily revenge killed by Pokemon such as Keldeo, Mega Charizard Y, and Victini.
* Diggersby hates status, especially burns, as it gets worn down very easily and burns will severely cripple it.

Moves
========
* Return is Diggersby's main STAB attack, as it tends to very spammable by hitting nearly every type for solid damage.
* Earthquake is perfect for Diggersby since it hits Steel-, Rock-, and Ghost-types such as Magearna, Cradily, and Gengar, which resist or are immune to Return.
* Quick Attack helps make up for Diggersby's low speed tier and makes it an excellent revenge killer, as it is able to KO many Pokemon such as Greninja and Latios after some chip damage.
* Fire Punch rounds out Diggersby's excellent coverage, allowing it to hit Pokemon such as Celesteela, Skarmory, and Ferrothorn.
Set Details
========
* Maximum Attack coupled with an Adamant nature allows Diggersby to hit as hard as possible.
* Maximum Speed EVs allow Diggersby to outspeed walls such as Mega Venasaur and Mandibuzz, as well as offensive threats such as Adamant Bisharp.
* Huge Power is Diggersby's main selling point, as it doubles its attacking power, allowing it to become a potent offensive threat, especially when combined with Choice Band.
Usage Tips
========
* Diggersby should be used as early as possible to break walls such as Chansey and Tyranitar to open up opportunities for its teammates like Porygon-Z to sweep.
* Diggersby should typically be brought in after a teammate faints or against weaker Pokemon such as Hippowdown and Zapdos due its underwhelming bulk.
* Diggersby often requires heavy prediction due to both of its STAB moves doing no damage to certain Pokemon. For example, when facing the Dark-type defensive core of Mandibuzz and Mega Sableye, you will have to make the correct prediction to get off any damage. Diggersby also fears Protect because it can be a huge momentum drain, especially since it allows Pokemon such as Ferrothorn to scout for Diggersby's set.
* Diggersby can be used to revenge kill weakened Pokemon with Quick Attack; however, being locked into Quick Attack means you lose all momentum, and said momentum can be given to the opponent if they predict Quick Attack.
* Diggersby should be kept away from status, especially burns, if possible; a burn will cripple Diggersby, and Toxic damage combined with Diggersby's low bulk means it will be worn down very quickly.
Team Options
========
* Porygon-Z pairs especially well with Diggersby because Diggersby's wallbreaking potential can open up sweeping opportunities for it to capitalize on. They also make good partners because Porygon-Z can take out Pokemon such as Skarmory while Diggersby can take out specially defensive walls such as Chansey.
* Staraptor pairs well with Diggersby, as it offers a solid neutrality to Fighting and an immunity to Ground that let it switch into Pokemon such as Buzzwole and Excadrill fairly well. Access to U-turn allows Staraptor to pivot into Diggersby, which is useful because Diggersby's poor bulk means it can find trouble finding switch-in opportunities.
* Chansey and Porygon2 act as a great core by switching into special and physical hits, respectively, that Diggersby would otherwise be threatened by, including Greninja's Hydro Pump and Victini's V-create. Chansey is also a great switch-in to status moves such as Toxic and Will-O-Wisp, which both can hurt Diggersby. Lastly, Chansey can set up Stealth Rock, which Diggersby can take advantage of by netting KOes it normally wouldn't, such as a chance to OHKO Alolan Raichu with Quick Attack.
* Choice Specs Meloetta can form a solid wallbreaking core with Diggersby, and it also acts as solid check to Fighting teams due to its Psychic typing.
* Heleolisk can be used on more offensive builds to pivot into Diggersby with Volt Switch, which is especially useful because Diggersby can find trouble finding opportunities to come in freely.
* Ditto can offensively check setup sweepers such as Dragonite and Bisharp, which would otherwise easily take out Diggersby after a boost.

Other Options
=============
Normal
--------
* Swords Dance with Life Orb can be used to allow Diggersby to be a great late-game sweeper with its access to Quick Attack; however, Normal teams tend to prefer the brute force of Choice Band and Porygon-Z is already a great late-game cleaner. This set should only be used on hyper offense teams and will work well with Smeargle, as it can set up Sticky Web. Unfortunately, this set lacks any coverage and will be fully walled by Skarmory and Celesteela.
* Wild Charge can be used to hit Pokemon such as Mandibuzz while still hitting Skarmory and Celesteela, but it forces Diggersby to give up Fire Punch, making Ferrothorn much harder to take out.
* Choice Scarf can be used with U-turn to make Diggersby a solid revenge killer, but it is no longer a wallbreaker and can't beat Pokemon such as Skarmory and Celesteela due to not having a damage-boosting item and being forced to give up coverage for U-turn.
* Knock Off can be used to hit Ghost-types such as Jellicen and Dhelmise, as well as ensuring nothing wants to switch in on Diggersby, because of the risk of losing its item. Using Knock Off forces you to be wary of Z-Move setup sweepers such as Landorus-T and Manaphy, which will easily capitalize on Diggersby being locked into Knock Off.
* U-turn can be used to allow Diggersby to pivot out into teammates such as Meloetta and keep up momentum when your opponent tries to switch in checks to Diggersby; however, Diggersby is forced to forego Fire Punch, which means it can no longer break Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Celesteela.
Checks and Counters
===================
Normal
--------
**Skarmory**: Skarmory forces Diggersby to use Fire Punch to do meaningful damage, which its teammates such as Heatran and Dragonite can take advantage of.
**Fighting-types**: Pokemon such as Keldeo, Terrakion, and Buzzwole will easily OHKO Diggersby with their powerful STAB attacks.
**Defensive Grass-types**: Mega Venusaur and Dhelmise together will force Diggersby to predict constantly and cause you to lose all your momentum if you choose the wrong move.
**Ghost-types**: Ghost types will force Diggersby to use either Earthquake or Fire Punch and stop Diggersby from revenge killing with Quick Attack.
**Revenge Killers**: Pokemon such as Greninja, Serperior, Keldeo, and Alolan Raichu will easily come in after a teammate has fallen and OHKO Diggersby with their strong STAB or coverage attacks. Priority users carrying Aqua Jet, Ice Shard, or Mach Punch such as Azumarill, Weavile, and Breloom pose a threat to Diggersby due to its typing.
**Tapu Bulu**: Grassy Terrain means that Diggersby will do minimal damage with Earthquake, forcing it to use Return or Fire Punch, which Magearna or Azumarill, respectively, can take advantage of.
