With a point lead, Team 6 by Silverwhiteblue takes the week! Runner-up is Team 1 by Roxer!

New week, new core! This time we have:

Mega Metagross + Blaziken - They're two very cool Gen 3 Pokemon that have decent synergy with each other. Obviously, Landorus-T and Talonflame can pose a problem, but they're still pretty cool regardless. Checkmater75 is a nerd and suggested this so yeah!

Code:
<sprites>
[hide=Importable][/hide]
[hide=Description][/hide]
Nifty sprite converter: http://fulllifegamer.bplaced.net/format.php - Just put in your importable and you'll get sprites. I'd prefer it if you guys set it to "sprites" to save me some important seconds, and name the hide tags as "Importable" and "Description" thanks :)!

Deadline on Friday, noon GMT+1

CorruptedOmega

Banned deucer.
SO META(Metagross HO)

I started with Metagross and Blaziken. I added Rotom-Wash to check Landorus and Talonflame. I added Virizion to improve my Rain matchup. I added Landorus because any DOU team needs a Landorus. Finally I added Hydreigon for its good set of resistances and its ability to scare off Aegislash and opposing Hydreigon.

The Special Attack investment on Rotom allows it to OHKO 252 HP Mega Charizard Y with the Expert Belt.
The rest of the spreads are standard.

Going to go through my 4 other pokemon and why they benefit this week's core.

Swampert fills two important roles; first it walls thundy and secondly adds wide guard support. Earth Power is nice to take out Jirachi so Metagross can hit Kyurem or Diancie or what ever other guy its redirecting. It does well vs LandoT was well.

Here is a cool serp set. It has a nice move pool and I think a lot of people will start trying other sets with it rather than typical max SpA and dragon pulse, leaf storm, ect. So with tuant and glare I use 252hp rather than 252spa since leaf storm boosts its spa up. Glare is cool to para ground types and being grass it gets around amoonguss rage powder. While being a big threat to Diancie and taunting Jirachi.

Up to here I feel like I have sufficient checks and counters for THALK, Diancie teams, Kyurem, Heatran, Aegi, Rain, Trick room, and most other common threats.
What I am lacking is ground immune, another Talon check, and I am weak to sun aside from stone edge Blaziken.

Cress can do well in the sun with her moonlight and Calm Minds. Getting some calm minds up allows her to become a target while my other guys can go really offensive. She is obviously great to take hit when needed as well. I run Ice Beam to take out other LandoT and a more offensive set with expert belt, but may change to goggles, but haven't felt the need to yet.
Lando my other ground immune checks the talonflames and charizards. I am going with knock off over super power because I dont feel the need for 3 fighting moves and I want a strong dark move to hit trick room setters.

metagross+blaziken is the core of the week, thus my 2 starting pokemon. substitute metagross gets subs on many things, and blaziken covers heatran for it to not fear heatwaves. blaziken has hp ice to ohko lando-t once outsped, removing one of this core's counters. hoopa unbound synergises with both quite well, and appreciates lando, keldeo and such out, while beating psychics for metagross and just boping things. its good under trick room as well. landorus therian and rotom wash check talonflame and landorus-therian, with intimidate to help. kyurem is there because a strong dragon is almost always apreciated.

Ok I originally built a cool team with Azumarill that had a nice Fairy-Steel-Dragon + FWG composition but when I went to look at the frameworks to get more insipiration it turned out exactly like finally's team so I couldn't use it. Upon that realization, I went looking for other offensive Water-types to use, Rotom-W is lame so I chose Kingdra. Kingdra out of rain is p garb so I replaced Kyub with Politoed for Drizzle and etc. So tahdah I ended up this team which is OK I guess.

Standard Mega Metagross w/ Bullet Punch bc I like the priority. Blaziken with enough SpA to OHKO Aegislash. Next I add the ultimate Lando T counter Milotic. Next I add a sick Talonflame counter/Tailwind setter/Wide guard user Aerodactyl. Next I add Eelektross bc it does some crazy shit idk. Next I felt it needed a dragon so I added Hydreigon with the much needed EP. Team is cash as shown by replays above. Beat 2 good players. No bad matchups. Undefeated in tours. Probably will be seen in SPL.
