Calm mind lati is a monster that appriciates the support given by scrafty and toge. talon eliminates threats that lati finds hard to dispose of. ferro beats faries that threaten lati early on and also beats rain which is an annoying archetype to go up against. azu has fun sweeping when all its threats are gone.

Started with Mega Latias, Sub dodges sucker which is cool.
Added Keldeo because Bisharp and Hydreigon are cancer.
Added Lando-T, helps against Kangaskhan and Heatran; Good Pivot to get Latias in.
Added Heatran to fuck Sun and Steels not named Heatran up. Using Flash Cannon Goggles for Diancie on switch-in and hit Azumarill through Amoonguss.
Added Zapdos for Speed control and Kang switch-in with Rocky Helmet. Helps vs Lando-T
Added Bisharp to fuck up Cresselia and Trick Room. Priority is really good you know!!!

NOTE: Alright so I somewhat feel ashamed of what I did last week. Trust me, there are some errors with my computer probably that's why I haven't provided a presentable post but that doesn't matter now I guess. Alright so let's get right to it.

I personally don't like Mega Latias. While I do respect its niches in some way, I still feel that it's not good enough to make the slightest cut to standard DOU. However, it does look a lot interesting to build around, as Mega Latias has a wide movepool with a lot of possible combinations, so I thought that I'd go with the flow and build a team around it. First of all, I've been browsing some ideas cause I don't like the "so common" stuff like Sub + CM Lati, so I thought of actually using Rain Dance Latias, but ended up sticking to Tailwind Latias because I feel the need of using a versatile team in terms of speed. Next up, Tornadus. Simply the counterpart of Thundurus because it's not an Electric type, it actually is great and packs a punch with Hurricane and the actual Rain Dance setter, so I actually considered this team as manual rain from this point on. Priority is always nice to have especially that Trick Room can become a pain in the ass. Heat Wave can lure in Ferrothorn in case it likes to do crap. To abuse both Tailwind and/or Rain Dance one way or another, I've put in 2 of the best Swift Swim users, Ludicolo and Kabutops. Ludicolo is good, because it's always been good in Rain, and Kabutops walls Talonflame completely + priority again. Now, the team still remains weak to Kanga and begins to form fairy weaknesses, so Cobalion fits the line. It adds Quick Guard to stop the likes of Prankster, Brave Bird from fastburd, Sucker Punch and lots o' things. Finally, Landorus-Therian is a snug fit for last slot. Speed outside of Tailwind and Rain Dance is always good, and you have additional Kanga checks and bird checks.

Notice how the team doesn't use U-turn on Landorus/Tornadus at least or Draco Meteor on Latias. It's because with a mindset of "need for speed", it's difficult to throw away important momentum and chances. If I have U-turn on Lando, I wouldn't actually have a good switch-in lol! And if I have Draco Meteor on Latias to at least get the immediate OHKO on Sub Kyu-B, Latias can also lose momentum by forcing a switch with the loss of power. Still, the goal of the team is: to take advantage of speed; and to never lose that advantage in ANY WAY POSSIBLE. So this is my team!

Mega Latias is pretty much completely outclassed by crocune and or latios, so i just threw something silly together

So normally you cant really set up latias early game, but if you psych up it with keldeo, then you can just obliterate shit as long as the other guy doesnt have a talonflame. If he has talon, you have to lead lando t or w/e which is kinda gay but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Also, you can psych up serperior too, which is pretty cool, especially cuz keldeo and serperior have pretty decent offensive synergy. If you're really cool btw, you can run defog on latias and target your own serp for evasion boosts, which is fuckin hilarious shoutouts to the memelord himself, iliketrains11 for inventing that dank strat

Roxer, Meloettaaa, and Lana del Seldo are tied at 3 votes! That leaves me to break the tie with my own vote; after looking through the three teams, I have decided that Lana Del Seldo has the best team and Mega Latias set out of the choices I hand. Congratulations!

This week, we'll have:

Weavile - With its blazing fast Speed, Weavile provides one of the fastest Fake Outs of the DOU metagame. Its also useful for its neat Ice-type coverage and utility in breaking Protect with Feint, taking off items with Knock Off, and meme-ing with Beat Up. Run wild!

Code:

Nifty sprite converter: http://fulllifegamer.bplaced.net/format.php - Just put in your importable and you'll get sprites. I'd prefer it if you guys set it to "sprites" to save me some important seconds, and name the hide tags as "Importable" and "Description" thanks :)!

I started out with Weavile + Azu, since Weavile's fast Fake Out would likely give Azu chances to set up. Added Jirachi for redirection support once Weavile inevitably died. Then I was feeling pretty sun and rain weak to Zapdos seemed like a decent pick. Terrak was chosen to help my Kang and Thundy matchups which were looking dismal and then I realized I needed something to get rid of Amoon other than Weavile, as well as a Mega and Ferrothorn checks besides Terrakion. I toyed around with Zard Y and even fast Camerupt, but Zard Y weakened Azu's Aqua Jets and fast Camel is super bad lol. Ended up going with Zard X since I already had the redirection, Fake Out, and speed control support needed to set up, and it gave me a decent secondary wincon.

On Weavile I originally had Sash but it felt soooooo weak and wasn't really getting knocked down to sash that often so went for Life Orb with Ice Shard and Icicle Crash chosen over Steel moves, Low Kick, or Feint to have a roll on Lando-T with Fake Out + Ice Shard and also have a reliable Ice-type STAB and avoid triple priority. Azumarill has Play Rough over Knock Off because Weavile already covered most of Knock Off's targets, and runs enough speed to outrun Kang under TW, which is important to avoid getting Sucker Punched. EDIT: It actually creeps that benchmark by one because somehow in testing I only just realized it had odd HP lol. Jirachi is running TWave to help slightly with the not-great Rain matchup, and has enough Def to live Talon Flare Blitz and enough Atk to OHKO +1 Mega Diancie and 2HKO standard subKyube just for a little extra oomph, with the rest in SpD because I didn't need to outrun Breloom as I was going to be using Goggles to be able to better support Azu. Zapdos is Kyle's spread and decently offensive because the team is quite offensive in nature, Helmet chosen for a better Kang matchup and the rest is fairly self explanatory. Terrak is Lum to avoid TWave or Burns, and Taunt because otherwise TR was a problem. Zard X is a standard moveset but my own EV Spread - 240 Speed allows it to outrun modest Hydreigon and the defensive investment lives one spread-reduced Lando-T EQ. Rest dumped into Atk so that it can better nuke the opposition.

As I said, Rain is a rough matchup but everything else is handled pretty well. The team plays pretty simply and does lots of damage all around, feel free to test with it because it's a fun one.

EDIT: Fixed Azu's spread - I had odd HP oops
EDIT2: Realized I had XY ani images instead of sprites

Ok so Weavile is actual trash to build around, and is usually a late-building mon in case you need it's utilities. However I figured it takes out Latios and psychic types in general (as well as some flying types [those not named charizard and talonflame]) so I added a mon that really benefits from the removal of the mons weavile actually beats, which is Virizion (virizion doesn't get duked on by lando like terrakion and cobalion, and like I guess I could have used Keldeo but I'm just really good at this game.) Next I put it Gyarados because it can switch into talon and, with stone edge, can beat Landorus and the two aforementioned fire birds. Then I added Metagross, idk a steel type sounded cool and we had a fighting type so it's not like I'm walled by steels, so Metagross joined the club. Rotom-Heat is really good against sun teams, is a levitator, and switches nicely into Thundurus, Talonflame, and somewhat Landorus, so it's on the team. Finally, Landorus-I just sounded good (idk i had a reason to use it but forgot lol.) I'm using mixed with Rock Slide because the team should be stacked af vs the Genies and such, which otherwise it would look weak to. It looks good next to Metagross so whatever. Team is now stacked vs the threats to Metagross, allowing Metagross to just win

So weavile beats aegislash and bisharp (with low kick) so i thought it might pair ok with metagross.

Weavile @ Focus Sash

So i finished building this after i saw the other metagross team, though i had metagross before seeing it. I decided to go with a more conventional metagross build, with keldeo and landorus t. Next I added thundurus for talonflame and skill wave, and amoonguss for tr and lando i guess. the team seems pretty solid, if boring. also you have been visited by the genies of a healthy meta!!!
