Alright gothitelle is weak as piss, and trapping shit is for losers, so I thought to myself, "What could possibly make this thing useful whatsoever outside of memes?" Well the only real option is to make it competitive, literally. Then i thought to myself, "How can this thing actually use its great bulk to its advantage?", and that's where trick room comes in. It's a decent setter, and with saftey goggles is can deal with one of the biggest threats to tr (amoongus). From there i needed a fake outer to help it set tr, and I also wanted to be able to deal with bisharp and aegislash since those are pretty big threats to all setters, so scrafty fit the bill well. I went with assault vest because that extra bulk is fantastic and imo it's scrafty's best set. Then i decided on the FGW core of azumarill / ferrothorn / camerupt-mega for that solid coverage and because I always feel the need for plenty of ammongus checks. I needed one more setter, and i've been wanting to try jirachi out more for quite some time now. Plus it adds that nice redirection for both camel and azu. All in all, goog lord gothitelle is bad, but the team supports it enough offensively and defensively that it can at least be usable.

This team is built around Mega Abomasnow and offensive Pokemon that work well with it, using Gothitelle to pick off key threats and occasionally set Trick Room. Abomasnow, Keldeo, and Landorus-T are the primary offensive Pokemon, with Safety Goggles Heatran covering a few weaknesses (Venu sun and Aegislash in particular) with Zapdos providing some extra utility (Toxic is for random defensive mons I can't get past like Cress). Goth is a pretty trash Pokemon but it helps secure some kills so it's not too bad I guess.

Level 51 won, unsurprisingly. Wew 'til RIP

This week, we go 420:

Blaziken - This guy here is a pretty good offensive mon that can outrun entire teams thanks to Speed Boost. It packs a good punch too with its powerful STAB moves. Still, it's pretty frail and prone to getting picked off especially by Talonflame's Brave Bird. It also gets pretty much bent by Trick Room. 420 BLAZE IT

Code:
<sprites>
[hide=Importable][/hide][hide=Description][/hide]
Nifty sprite converter: http://fulllifegamer.bplaced.net/format.php - Just put in your importable and you'll get sprites. I'd prefer it if you guys set it to "sprites" to save me some important seconds, and name the hide tags as "Importable" and "Description" thanks :)!

Deadline on next Friday, noon GMT+1.

As mentioned, Blaziken kind of sucks because Talonflame seems to be on every other team; and hes pretty frail.
But what talonflame hates most is Stealth Rocks. Hippowdon makes an excellent support pokemon for Blaziken.
Hipppodon usually has no problem throwing stealth rocks down which means Talon cannot make more that one switch into BB blaziken or Steel Wing Diancie.

So Blaziken is an effective Sand Storm pokemon because he checks the common problems that sand teams face.
Usually big problems for sand teams are: Lando, Steel Types, Amoonguss
Accounting for stealth rock damage the mixed Blaziken spread I am running OHKOs both Lando and Amoonguss. I have 18.8% chance to OHKO Aegislash, and I OHKO Mega Metagross.

So yeah the blaziken + Diancie is a well known effective core as the both complement each other really well
Still they have a problem against waters and I want a second Aegislash counter, and a easy way to beat Thundy

Gastodon is such a sleeper!!!
Its so good with Diancie
It OHKOs aegislash
walls Thundy so easy.
beats landoT
and redirects water
and has excellent typing

Safety Goggles Latios is super cool. It will take out Venusaur in the sun while it tries to sleep it and it can freely switch into Amoonguss
I'm running Energy ball to deal with Azu, Rotom, Cune, ect so I can do big damage with out having to drop a draco first turn

Finally I run Aegislash for wide guard support and I felt steel is required for fairy counters.

So I got the cool core of blaziken+Diancie in the sand with out using the shitty sand setter(Ttar- what a piece crap)
Using guys that dont mind the sand: aegi, gastro, goggles latios- that support the Blaziken+Diancie core really well

I tried digging deeper to a few older teams and I happen to find this squad with big dino, so I decided "make a few edits and go for teambuilding comp". You might have seen a variation of this same team somewhere in the forums, and yes it's this one. To be honest, Blaziken is actually just niche. While I really like it because of Speed Boost and great variety of attacks, fast bird (Talonflame) is always on the run. Still, it's nice to build with Blaziken.

Just like the Mega Diancie + *any fighting type that is good* core, I decided to do the same, pairing it up with Mega Aerodactyl because it benefits the same with Mega Blaziken. In almost all of my Mega Aerodactyl builds, I go for double flying coverage because Aqua Tail is useless most of the time I like having a spammable flying move in Aerial Ace and I like locking opposing Pokemon with Sky Drop so something in my team gets to do something. There is also no use running Wide Guard or Taunt so yeah. Next came Rotom-W because the first thing you would hate about this core is facing Landorus-T (it takes at least 1 turn for Blaziken to go +1 Speed). I also get to express my hate for birds at this point.

I went for 2 trick room checks because the core doesn't like Trick Room at all. Aegislash acts as a fairy killer and spread stopper. It also can check Cress and Jirachi effectively. Amoonguss helps with the rain match-ups that my team doesn't really like to be facing, plus a bit of sleep spam would be nice. Finally, Landorus. It actually covers up some offensive weaknesses that my team would still have. It acts as a secondary fairy killer, another steel killer and a Zard killer. (EXTRA NOTES: Kinda rough match with Thundurus here, so you might need to play around it carefully)

You know aqua tail OHKOs both diancie and Heatran.
I don't see how 2 60bp flying moves is good at all.
If not aqua tail then consider dragon claw it OHKOs latios. Or ice fang to out speed Lando since you are not adamant. Even stone edge, iron head or EQ would be better than 2 flying

252 Atk Tough Claws Mega Aerodactyl Aqua Tail vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 250-296 (77.3 - 91.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I agree with this sentiment though, 2 flying moves is bad and aqua tail chunks a lot of things and it does KO Mega Diancie. (It might KO Terrakion?)

Alright so I actually have to rephrase the thing n1n1 highlighted there, as well as n10sit's supporting details. Pardon me for this mistake, I was quite in a hurry writing this. I run both Aerial Ace and Sky Drop together not because of coverage (again pardon me). I just want to take advantage of being able to rendering an important Pokemon (say Amoonguss or even Deo-A for example) useless for 1 turn with Sky Drop while being able to let my partner Pokemon do something versus the opposition. Aerial Ace is just pure attacking without the locking.

I do like n1n1's suggestion of Stone Edge however. For now, it's probably not the time. I'll do it soon.

After seeing Zach(?) Memoric win with a SD Mega Blaziken 1-2 yrs ago, I always wanted to make a team around it. It has a few perks over Mega Char X. Notably, free Speed boosts to become immediately threatening. Also, Low Kick takes out Heatran. Flare Blitz from 160 base Atk hurts a lot; there are only a few things that can tank a +2 Flare Blitz. SD Blaziken can serve as a wallbreaker early game and/or a late-game sweeper.

Fake Out Weavile and Follow Me Togekiss offer free set-up opportunities for Blaziken or DDTar. Added Helping Hand on Togekiss to nail even more KOs. Tyranitar removes Rain, checks Thundurus and Talonflame, complements Blaziken as an offensive partner, and serves as an alternative late-game Sweeper if Blaziken bites the dust earlier in the match. LO Energy Ball on Latios is mainly for Mega Diancie, Azumarill, and Rotom-W. Gyarados offers some Intimidate, Taunt, & TWave support to soften SE physical blows that can activate TTar's WP, prevent set-up, and slow the opponent down for potential flinch haxing.

Some of the few things I am considering are 1) adding LO & possibly Low Kick or Ice Shard > Feint on Weavile & 2) Protect somewhere on Togekiss. You guys can probably come up with something better than this rusty old fart... The one caveat I see already is that this team may rely too much on Blaziken's fire and fighting moves to break past an opponent, so I may need to use it carefully as opposed to sending it to a kamikaze mission. I'm open to suggestions :S

This is a cool Blaziken+Metagross team I made. I chose Metagross as my mega because it can beat Keldeo and Diancie for Blaziken while Blaziken can beat opposing steel and dark-types for Metagross. I added bulky Thundurus to help with the rain and Talonflame matchup and to provide Taunt to help with Trick Room. I added Landorus-T to further help with Talonflame and also provide Intimdate support. Sableye was added to help check Aegislash and further Improve the Trick Room matchup. Lastly I chose Kyurem-B to help with rain and Landorus-T.

this team is designed to try to get azu set up and overwhelm your opponent with offense. Mega Aero helps with talon thund zard for azu rachi to set up. Blaze can help kill balanced tran aegis shit. Loom puts on offensive pressure with priority mach punch late game and spore early game to help azu sweep while also acting as a check to rain. Raichu is so bulky thund doesnt t wave everything and to help azu set up with fake out support. I chose balloon because i needed another eq immune on the team and volt switch because most of the time raichu does jack shit but it can put azu in a favorable situation to set up if you catch your opponent trying to switch to some bulky shit like tran. Rachi is there because it helps azu. It's also gay, fuck rachi.
