For not using stone edge, it's a move with 40% accuracy, just use rock slide.
Also for using EQ rather than drill run which is going to cause you to take attack drop from kings shield contact

Rhydon is slower than aegislash (psa if your rhydon isn't slower than aegislash do so)

stone edge has 80% accuracy lol
drill run is also stronger+crit chance than eq bc single target damage (though this is sort of dependent on how many aegi checks/spread moves u have on ur team)

[22:14] sforz: i love memes
I think it's weird as if you talk about drill run being the inferior choice in all those teams. One of the other stuff I dislike about rhydon other than losing to common stuff, is that it has negative synergy with common stuff, like LandoT and Thund. This in turn really limits your options for strong levitators to pair with Rhydon. Zard-Y is very good in that regard and the 2 teams with zardY, yours and meloettas, have EQ.

In contrast look at n10's. It only has 1 poke he feels ok EQing next to, samvgc doesn't even have an EQ immunity other than pre mega zard. On an offensive team like his, forcing your teammate to protect just to slightly improve the stab move of a supporter feels nonsensical.

Voting SamVgc

With a good lead in votes, sforz takes the week! Wew laddie

Reuniclus - At a glance, it might look like worse version of Cresselia due to similar typing but lower bulk. However, Reuniclus makes a niche for itself as a Trick Room setter with offensive presence. It also has some solid abilities in Overcoat and Magic Guard, the former useful for blocking Spore and the latter preventing Life Orb recoil if you so choose. Still, it's a bit prone to getting smashed by anything faster than it due to its slow Speed, lack of notable resists, and good-but-not-great bulk. The Cresselia comparison also isn't great to have at the moment considering Cresselia itself has grown into disfavor.

Deadline of building is on Friday, GMT noon

Wreck-It Ralph

This team originally started out with jirachi in reuniclus's spot because I liked the support it provided under TR, but since I needed to add reuniclus I decided to keep p2 and slash rachi. Reuniclus can be a bit underwhelming, but it provides a very crucial niche under TR in that it beats (and underspeeds if you go with the cash level 99 set) ammoongus, one of the biggest threats to TR. Talon provides another amoongus check and also helps keep the game in control outside of TR. I went with double edge / hammer arm kang because DAMAGE. p2 chips away at mons and has that nice access to recovery. It's one of the best tr setters imo. CB gyara provides so much coverage it isnt even funny (you can switch eq for ice fang if you're really worried about lando) and has quickly become on of my favorite TR mons. Everyone's new favorite truck aka hoopa was the last piece that helps deal with aegislash and bulky waters, as well as many other threats. It's much more difficult to waste TR turns when you can't protect.

Reuniclus
had to build around this
decent pokemon

Camerupt-Mega
this was originally a mega-abomasnow but the further we got in building the more we noticed we were bisharp weak and yoda really wanted to use abomasnow but i wanted to use cmaerupt so we didn't have a total SHIT matchup vs bisharp and tran

Porygon2
defensive setter
we couldn't use cresselia because we already have a reunic and we couldn't use hoopa-u because that's an offensive as fuck setter and when we built around it didnt' even work because we had mega aaboma that breaks sashes
overall really good sponge

gyarados
heatran is gay

scrafty
you'll needd fake out at some point on your trick room team right/??
we wanted priority but conk doesnt have FO and hariyama only gets BP (latter is a fucking shitmon)

Alright you various (BAN ME PLEASE)s, this is the team of a lifetime. Started with Mega Banette because it looks really cool, has priority to support outside of TR, huge atk stat, breaks thru protect sometimes, and has insomnia in it's base form. It's really shitty but hey so is competitive pokemon. It needs fake out support, Hariyama is THERE and like Flame Orb Guts is so HOT under tr where you have 5 turns to kill shit. Bisharp is a good tr attacker that balances out some of the teams weaknesses, and then I added a second tr setter in offensive Cresselia with hidden power fire. BUT WAIT FUCK WERE SUPPOSED TO USE REUNICLUS so i changed it accordingly. Will miss the bulkier setter, reuni sucks ass. Azu provides a win con outside of tr while providing both offensive and defensive synergy with the team, Dragalge made a fds core that KICKS ASS because it has Dragalge.

So today I was contemplating the problem of Smeargle in VGC and remembered a regional stream I had recently watched in which a Smeargle used Crafty Shield to prevent its ally Xerneas from being Taunted. Coincidentally I checked Smogon and found that Reuniclus, the greatest Trick Room setter of all time, was the starting point for this week's teambuilding competition. I thought it would be a great time to come back and build some slightly less shitty teams than normal. Anyways after Smeargle and Reuniclus I added Inner Focus Kang which helps me beat fast Fake Out users attempting to disrupt Trick Room, and it's also just strong af. Next I added Hoopa-U because I had nothing for Substitute Steels and I wanted another Trick Room setter. Looking through the Roles Compendium thread at Trick Room attackers, Heatran stuck out to me. Not only does it check Amoonguss and full HP Eruptions are amazing, it provides a bit of a defensive backbone to the team. Finally I added offensive Thundurus cause I wanted a fast attacker that could operate outside of Trick Room, hit hard, and kill Mega Diancie.

The Smeargle was ripped from checkmater75 's SPL team dump except I have Crafty Shield over Trick Room, which allows me to protect myself and my allies from status moves such as Taunt and Spore (btw the 11 Speed IVs let me outspeed my own Hoopa under TR so I can get a guaranteed Spore off). The Reuniclus set is straight from the dex. The Kangaskhan EV spread lives a Keldeo Secret Sword. The Hoopa set is straight from KyleCole 's SPL team dump. The other two sets are pretty self explanatory.

Fun fact: you can use Crafty Shield and King's Shield in consecutive turns and it won't fail.

I did this all on my phone yeet.

This team is green. green teams are usually weak to fire bc green pokemon are usually grass
so ttar is good vs talon and heatran
politoed is good vs talon and heatran
and mega venu is neutral vs fire
overall this is probably the best green team you can build. I havnt tested it much so challenge me

Reuniclus is somewhat bad because not so bulky but it's what needs to be built around so there's not a lot I can do about it. However, it's not so bad because it's an offensive powerhouse, which separates it from Cresselia. It's got Overcoat so you're not forced to run Goggles to protect yourself from mushrooms. This is basically the starting point of the team; it has HP Fire because we have co-existing hate for Ferrothorn. I went for Porygon2 next for real bulk and it immediately beats up Pokemon that would hate being under TR such as Lando-T and most weather sweepers. As mega, I chose Mega Blastoise cause it's OP af and has splendid coverage for a wide range of Pokemon. Water Pulse is confuse-hax which is for good players. Scrafty with Quick Guard is cool cause you have Fake Out to stop various shenanigans preventing TR. Aegis is a neat attacker for TR and has the goggles for more powder hate. Finally, Thundurus acts as the playa outside of TR with Taunt to stop many forms of set-up.

Half of the team is composed of level 99 Pokemon for various reasons. Reuniclus can immediately silence Amoonguss and shenanigans with the small drop in speed. Aegislash and Porygon2 are built for beating other TR threats that would make speed tie games such as opposing Aegislash and Sylveon. Without TR, Aegislash can beat another Aegislash 1 on 1 after it's been attacked by that foe. Under TR, they can beat the aforementioned threats already w/o speed tie concerns.

This a cool Hailroom team I made that has Reuniclus. I thought that Reuniclus would be a good partner for Abomasnow as it could beat fighting types such as Keldeo, Conkeldurr and Breloom and was a pretty cool Trick Room setter. Since I was going with full room I needed another setter. I chose Diancie because it could also beat fighting-types and could beat flying types such as Talonflame and Charizard. I wanted to try Hariyama as my Fake out user as it isn't weak to Bisharp and doesn't add a fighting weakness. Gyarados was added to beat fire-types and is just overall really powerful under Trick Room. Lastly I added Heatran to help with opposing fairy and grass-types.

Older team built by either Shaian and myself or just Shaian, I don't remember but if it was just him I put in some minor edits i'm sure. Semi Room since full room is kinda poop with just Rank. Sun provides much needed support for Venu makes Heatran strong etc etc. Thundurus is great in general at slowing shit down for when you don't need trick room and Machamp is great at being in trick room and abusing t-wave that Thundurus provides. It's koo. You can tell I didn't build it on my own because Thundurus has flash cannon and not swagger

Basically, I wanted to use Reuniclus on a team that wasn't a clear-cut TR or Semi-TR team, so I came up with this. Reuniclus + Heatran is a pretty cool core, as Reuniclus can a) be an expert TR check, and b) It can cripple all of Heatran's checks by either T-Waving them, HP Icing the lando's, and Psychicing the fighting-types that try to switch in. Virizion fills in as a Kang/Keld/Dark check. Diancie is a very strong mega and Gets rid of non-offensive Thund, Talon, and Fighting-types pretty well. Hydreigon is another anti-TR mon that can push its way past Ghost-types and be an alright Lando check if it is locked into EQ, while Azumarill benefits very well from Reuni's support and can sweep late game.
