started with bronzong, mon of the week. its max hp max attack top jej. gyro, explosion, trick room, sleep talk. gotta have switchins for sleep. also. sash. bc im using max attack and uh i can tr and explode cause this thing kinda sucks. i wanted a cool mega so i picked sableye. its a cm set like cress except way worse and it has fake out to help me set up tr. next is standard conk with knock off and wide guard u know the drill, next is p standard talon, outspeeds base jolly base 100s rest in hp, has quick guard to stop prio. helps with sash zong lellers. next is fuckin zygarde. sick bulky dragon. hits like a huge puss puss tho. has coil to help with that but still a huge puss. then i add standard p2 for last setter. any questions can fuck off team rules go team

This week, we're gonna have Dragon Dance Gyarados! Dragon Dance Gyarados combines its nifty typing, decent bulk, and Intimidate with its ability to boost, bust holes, and clean up the opposition. However, it's a bit underwhelming without a boost as a pure attacker due to sitting at a middling Speed tier and its typing leaves it deftly dealt with by Mega Diancie, Thundurus, and Rotom-W, among other things. Still, it's p neat tbh fam

Also you can use Mega Gyarados but I'm only giving you this chance so you guys will realize it sucks.

i dont know what it runs but safety goggles is always good? also it HAS to be shiny so you can have the cool lake of rage gyarados

talonflame to hit grasses cuz bounce for gyara sucks + tailwind owns on this team with kang and gene and gyara all having better opportunities and conkeldurr also being pretty cool under tw

genesect resists rock slide and is a very nice check to lando-t with scarf
i personally think genesect is rly good because ice beam checks lando-t and dragons really well while you can gain momentum with u-turn and having explosion as a strong catch-all

amoonguss is a second water resist so u dont rly lose to rain and its a trick room check
also this allows me to use pup kang more easily for redirection, so you have a better mu vs jirachi

kangaskhan offers nice access to fake out and has powerful attacks.

conkeldurr so you don't have to worry about steels as much

psa this probably loses to jirachi azu like every team of mine

Trump isn't actually the best

So apparently I can't use good stuff like Venomoth anymore, but here goes. Gyarados bc I kinda need him in order to win the comp, but he gets absolutely cockblocked by grasses and some steels and like idk Blazikens really cool and he's red. Redirection is p fly, and while I was originally going Amoonguss, I am an established user of the Smogon Doubles community and therefore I know whats hip in the meta, so Jirachi. It also redirects grasses quite well. Because sleep is still pretty fly, I went Mega Venu. It can also switch into Electrics really nicely and has excellent staying power with Synthesis & Sleep Powder. I wanted Twind, Intimidate, and a ground immune in one mon, so Salamence. Finally, Raichu was added bc I can ez switch into electrics and fake out encore is really nice for setting up DDances.

Since we’re using gyara, the idea was start with a fire water grass core.
Heatran for fire since it’s not weak to rock = good type synergy.
Amoonguss for grass since redirection is pretty nifty on this team.
Mega diancie for dealing with dragons the tri-core can’t beat.
Scarf lando because flinches & double intimidate helps gyara set up.
The final slot is hydrei, since I wanted another dark switch in that can also beat cress. I opted for jolly because this team dies to dragons once diancie is gone.
The team is a bit bisharp weak due to the double intim, so the heatran is EV’d to outspeed it.

Some notes on the gyara set:
Ice fang + lum on gyara to deal with the amoonguss that switches in on it.
Lum also deals with para.
Jolly + ice fang bops scarf landos.

its a pretty good team. most of the stuff is pretty standard. double steel is there bc i wanted a good wide guard user that beat diancie and thats literally only aegislash. this team looks weak to lando but it really isnt. its charti thund and gyara outspeeds and ohkos at +0/+1. icy wind rachi and wide guard WP aegi are also two obvious big helps. amoong is a threat, but thund/terrak taunts, talonflame is a big help, and +1 crunch 2hkos. i like this team generally, could use some patching up though.

Built this team around Mega gyara because its a dank mon, can actually clean teams at +1 and is supported pretty easily by Jirachi's follow me, Sash Gar, T-wave rotom heat. DD 2 attack gyara with both stabs hits a lot of things really hard, Jirachi redirects to help Gyara set up and has zen headbutt to hit amoongus and venusaur. Rotom-H helps vs sun and Thundurus. Gengar disrupts a lot of shit early game which is helpful in paving the way to a gyara sweep. Scarf Landog is scarf landog and Hoop-U punches a lot of holes giving a secondary check to fightings and helping to stop TR from going up.

Description

Built this a while back around the XY core of Mega Venu+Tran, something I wanted to try reviving again. Also wanted to go with double intim considering how uncommon bish has been lately. The main idea of the team is to keep intimidate shuffling and wearing down the opponent's team, until any of the three wincons in mega venu/gyara/subtran can clean up in the end. QG scrafty is to improve the talon matchup, LO thund provides an offensive answer to keld/diancie/talon, basically stuff that would normally be really annoying to face with venu/scrafty. Goggs gyara so it can set up on and ignore amoonguss and work as the second sleep switchin on the team. The team struggles with kang if you lose intimidate mons early, so that's something to watch for.
