Hey guys, Cataquack64 here! Before I show you all my team, I just want to say thanks for all the help and advice for my ice mono ^-^. Anyway, heres my latest team, its so good, its shocking! Its the electric type!
WHY SO SLOW (Eelektross) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Coil
- Aqua Tail
- Drain Punch
- Wild Charge
Eelektross is a good pokemon. It has good Attack, great coverage, and an ability most electric types wish they had. But it has one problem: ITS SO SLOW, AND ITS SLOWNESS ANNOYS ME. Anyway, Coil is a good move to set Eelektross up with. After two Coils, hes ready to go. Wild Charge is a powerful STAB move, despite the recoil damage, OHKOing many threats like Azumarill or Tornadus. He can also use Drain Punch to deal huge damage to walls such as Ferrothorn or Umbreon, while regaining HP from it, he can also use Aqua Tail to rid him of threats such as Mold Breaker Excadrill and Smack Down Rhyperior, who tries to remove Eelektross of his ground immunity qnd OHKO him with an Earthquake afterwards.
Potato (Stunfisk) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Yawn
- Scald
- Pain Split
Potato Is my lead of choice. He can set up Stealth Rocks to gain me an advantage at winning. Not only does he set up, he also inflict pain through Statuses. He can use Scald to burn the foe and ward off defensive ground types (I.E. Hippowdon, Steelix), Yawn to force a foe to switch out or go to sleep, and his ability Static, which paralyzes foes that make contact with him. If a switch is predicted correctly and Stunfisk has low health, he can Pain Split to be more of an annoyance. Ability: Static
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Yawn
- Scald
- Pain Split
Zwei (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Roost
- Toxic
- Defog
- Thunderbolt
Zwei is my only wall. She does this by using Toxic to poison her foes. She also uses Defog to remove any hazards and destroy screens, while opponents try to OHKO her, she can use her only attack, STAB Thunderbolt, to damage opponents that aren't ground types. If shes low on health, she can Roost and gain HP and stall abit more while the poison is stacking up.Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Roost
- Toxic
- Defog
- Thunderbolt
Lightning (Manectric) @ Manectite
Ability: Static --> Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt/Snarl
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch
Lightning is my main attacker, and my best attacker. Upon Mega Evolution, he can outspeed threats such as Greninja and Scarfed Chandelure, OHKOing them with a simple Thunderbolt. Volt Switch helps Lightning get out of sticky situations, or put his ability, Imtinidate, to good use. I (rarely) run Snarl on Lightning, because not only does it deals huge damage thanks to Lighting's Special Attack, but it lowers the opponent's Special Attack, making it a good move for a Pokemon with Imtimidate.Ability: Static --> Intimidate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower
- Thunderbolt/Snarl
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch
WHY SO SLOW (Eelektross) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Coil
- Aqua Tail
- Drain Punch
- Wild Charge
Strike (Luxray) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Fang
- Wild Charge
- Crunch
- Facade
Strike is my second physical attacker. She usally comes on out after my MegaNetric uses Volt Switch, activating the Flame Orb, and Guts. She can use Wild Charge and Ice Fang as a physical BoltBeam to wipe out large amounts of opponents and tear holes in teams, Crunch is one of her best attacks, taking out mainly Ghost and Psychic types, but many other types, lqst but not least, Facade helps out by dealing massive damage due to guts and Burn damage. Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Ice Fang
- Wild Charge
- Crunch
- Facade
Thunder Storm (Thundurus-Therian) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Of all the pokemon in my team, no one gets rid of ground types better than Thunder Storm. Grass Knot deals heavy damage to ground types with neutrality to ice, like Mamoswine and Gastrodon, while HP Ice hurts Torterra and Landorus. Focus Blast is used to get rid of any Rock and Ice type threats to Thunder Storm. He helps the team get rid of their main threat, using it extremely high Special Attack to his advantage.Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power [Ice]
