XY OU Fairly successful team - with battle replays

Hi Guys,

My first post, looking for somebody to rate my team, I currently have problems with things like substitute / leech seed / protect. Feel like I should really have a heal bell / wish Pokemon in there somewhere and maybe something with roar. I'm currently running with the following:

Manectric-Mega @ Manectite
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Flamethrower

I'll usually lead with either this or Reuniclus depending how many ground types I see in the beginning line up. This replaced my jolteon who had these moves except it had substitute rather than flamethrower. I figured FT could rid ferros / forretresses. T wave to get initial paralysis.

Cresselia (F) @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 6 Spe
Modest Nature
- Psychic
- Calm Mind
- Ice Beam
- Moonlight

This thing is hench especially when I use Reun to screen it first then start calm minding. Things that hinder this are status effects usually or a high powered physical attacker. Colbur berry helps with the super effective attacks.

Machamp @ Lum Berry
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 240 HP / 248 Atk / 16 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
- DynamicPunch

I've only played red and silver before this so Machamp used to be pretty crap, he's a lot better with a 100% hit DP to damage and confuse, bullet punch to sweep and have priority. Knock off to cover psychics etc...

Gengar @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Haze
- Confuse Ray
- Psychic
- Sludge Bomb

I designed this to rid those who stat up massively, tends to work well to sash to haze unless stealth rock or something like that is out to negate the sash in which case I'm reasonably screwed. Confuse ray followed by sludge bomb have come in really handy lately and find myself winning a lot of battles with gengar. Here is a great example of him demolishing a team: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-163262430

Dragonite @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- Dragon Claw
- Roost
- Dragon Dance

The Reun is basically meant to set this weakness policy dragonite up using screens, I'll DD then roost to keep multiscale active then try and wreck their team with a fast dragonite with at least 2.5x attack. Example replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-162803667 although I used to have forretress to set up screens and toxic spikes

Reuniclus @ Light Clay
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Def / 132 SpD
Bold Nature
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Recover
- Psychic

Light clay makes screens last longer. I usually look at whether opponent has higher Satk or Atk then use the appropriate screen, recover if needed, place other screen up, recover then switch to whoever I need out, ideally a dragonite who can DD then roost.

Thanks for letting me know your thoughts guys.

Thunder wave is useless on Manectric since it's so frail it won't even tank any strong neutral hit. Volt Switch gains momentum and is much better. Gengar has the wrong EVs, 4 EVs in HP are useless, put in Def or SDef. Psychic is shit. Doesn't. Even. Get. STAB. Shadow ball is muuuuch better. If you are running Waterfall Dragonite then your hopeless. You'll be hard walled by Ferrothorn. EVs are wrong again... 4 EVs in HP make you lose more health from stealth rocks.

1-Cresselia gets moonblast which prevents it from getting hard walled by a lot of Pokemon that would normally give it issues, while still combating dragons. You can also use shadow ball for coverage, or hp fire to lure in steel types like scizor or ferrothorn who think they can have their way with you.

I had a calm mind Cress on my team that made it to the 2000s before I stopped laddering, this was the set up:

252/hp, 252 defense, 6 sp. attack, bold nature @ rocky helmet
calm mind, moonblast, moonlight, shadow ball/hp fire

no stab, but honestly it can do more with those other 3 moves I mentioned. Rocky helmet for passive damage while it sets up. Feel free to modify it to your team's needs, helped a lot on mine but you may need to tailor it a bit more if you want. Watch out for status like toxic.

2-Earthquake over waterfall on Dragonite.

3-You do not need two psychics, dump Reuniclus for magic guard Clefable, they have good synergy, and Clefable can soak up status aimed at Cresselia like burn or poison. You can even have one with aromatherapy if your team needs a cleric.

4. confuse ray is risky on a pokemon as frail as Gengar. Perhaps destiny bond or a coverage move would be better? Also, psychic isn't needed on it. Shadow ball is excellent.

Why don't you use Shadow Ball & Sludge Wave on you Gengar ?
My suggested Gengar set :

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Pain Split / Haze

Shadow Ball is one of the best Gengar moves
Sludge Wave has 95 base power. Sludge Bomb has 80.
Focus Blast is for Rock, Steel, Ice and most importantly Dark. 120 base power makes it pretty neat to use if you have an opponent who is resistant to Shadow Ball & Sludge Wave
Pain Split somewhat (?) heals you :p or you can keep Haze if you want to.

I didn't see the 2 newest messages and have now ended up with this:

Cresselia (F) @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 6 SpA
Bold Nature
- Moonblast
- Calm Mind
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Moonlight

Gengar @ Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Toxic
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Bomb

Dragonite @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Multiscale
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fire Punch
- Dragon Claw
- Roost
- Dragon Dance

Clefable @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Soft-Boiled
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Aromatherapy

Magnezone @ Choice Specs
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Flash Cannon
- Thunderbolt

Medicham @ Medichamite
Ability: Pure Power
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- High Jump Kick
- Zen Headbutt
- Fire Punch
- Fake Out

I do have a ghost / dark weakness on this team

Gengars only purpose in my team is to kill off anybody who's sweeping my team eg. if they've Dragon Danced up or something, then with focus sash and gengars speed I can destiny bond or haze them. So I'm a bit reluctant to place a life orb on him :p

Who is greninja replacing in this lot?

And thanks for the feedback guys
