UU Feraligatr

The Shellder Smuggler

Banned deucer.
Overview
########

Feraligatr possesses a decent base 105 Attack stat as well as two amazing stat boosting moves in Dragon Dance and Swords Dance, making it a very underrated setup sweeper. It also has a solid defensive typing that leaves it weak to only Grass- and Electric-type attacks. Combine this with satisfactory 85 / 100 / 83 bulk, and Feraligatr can easily take a hit and set up a boost. It also has very good coverage moves, such as Ice Punch and Crunch, meaning it can be hard to wall once it has set up. However, Feraligatr does have some notable flaws. Firstly, it has a base 78 Speed, meaning it fails to outspeed Pokemon such as Heracross before a Dragon Dance. Another glaring flaw for Feraligatr is the fact that his hidden ability, Sheer Force, is unreleased, forcing him to use Torrent. Feraligatr also faces competition as a set-up sweeper from Toxicroak, who is faster and has a better ability, as well as a wider movepool. Nonetheless, even with some flaws, Feraligatr can certainly be a huge threat if it sets up.

Swords Dance
########
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Waterfall
move 3: Aqua Jet
move 4: Crunch / Return / Ice Punch
ability: Torrent
item: Life Orb / Mystic Water
evs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 200 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Swords Dance boosts Feraligatr's Attack by two stages, allowing it to do massive damage to the opponent. Waterfall is Feraligatr's main STAB attack that does a ton of damage after a boost from Swords Dance. Aqua Jet is a great priority move that is boosted by STAB, and it allows Feraligatr to KO faster Pokemon. The last slot can be customized depending on what your team needs dealt with. Crunch allows Feraligatr to break through Slowbro and Mew, and gets good overall coverage. Return, in combination with Waterfall and Aqua Jet, provides perfect neutral coverage throughout the tier. Ice Punch hits Honchkrow and Hydreigon for super effective damage, making it a good coverage option as well. However, Earthquake can also be used to hit Raikou and other Electric-types, while Low Kick can be used to hit Hydreigon, but more importantly, Registeel.

Set Details
========

252 Attack EVs with an Adamant nature maximizes Feraligatr's Attack, letting it hit very hard after a Swords Dance boost. 200 Speed EVs allow Feraligatr to outspeed Adamant Honchkrow and out-prioritize it with Aqua Jet. The remaining 56 HP EVs add to Feraligatr's overall bulk, helping it set up. Life Orb lets Feraligatr hit harder at the cost of some health. However, Mystic Water can also be used, to power up Waterfall and Aqua Jet and to keep Feraligatr healthy. This set is not as susceptible to priority due to the HP investment, which is a good thing going for it.

Usage Tips
========

Once all of Feraligatr's counters have been removed or severely weakened, Swords Dance is safe to use. After Swords Dance is used once, Feraligatr turns into a powerful attacker, being able to hit extremely hard. Note that when Honchkrow switches in, Aqua Jet goes before Honchkrow's Sucker Punch and negates it. Lastly, this set is to be used as a late game sweeper more than anything else.

Team Options
========

To make setting up Swords Dance much easier, Feraligatr can benefit from Dual Screens support, making Cresselia and Uxie good teammates. Rotom-H is a good partner, as Trick cripples walls such as Suicune and Slowbro, and it can also absorb Will-O-Wisp for Feraligatr. Spike setters are also very helpful as they weaken Pokemon such as scarf Heracross to the point where Feraligatr to finish them off with a boosted Aqua Jet. This makes Pokemon such as Froslass and Roserade good partners, as they can set up Spikes with relative ease. Lastly, Sticky Web support is very helpful, as it allows Feraligatr to outspeed threats such as Toxicroak and Shaymin who are heavily damaged by a boosted Return or Ice Punch.

Dragon Dance
########
name: Dragon Dance
move 1: Dragon Dance
move 2: Waterfall
move 3: Ice Punch
move 4: Earthquake
ability: Torrent
item: Life Orb
evs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 228 Spe
nature: Jolly

Moves
========

Dragon Dance allows Feraligatr to boost his Attack and Speed by one stage, allowing it to sweep. Waterfall is Feraligatr's strongest STAB move, and is very threatening to Pokemon who don't resist it, especially after a boost from Dragon Dance. Ice Punch is a good coverage move that OHKOes both Honchkrow and Hydreigon after a Dragon Dance boost. Earthquake is a very powerful move that can KO threatening Electric-types such as Raikou, and can also take out Jirachi. Lastly, Aerial Ace has a relevant niche, as it 2HKOes Chesnaught and has a good chance to OHKO Toxicroak after a Dragon Dance.

Set Details
========

252 Attack EVs max out Feraligatr's Attack stat, allowing it to hit as hard as possible. 228 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature allow Feraligatr to outspeed neutral nature base 120s after a Dragon Dance. 28 HP EVs are put into Feraligatr's HP to give it a little bit of extra bulk. Life Orb gives a significant boost to Feraligatr's damage output, making it the preferred item for this set. Feraligatr can also run a bulky variation of this set with an EV spread of 224 HP / 252 Atk / 34 Spe and a Jolly nature, allowing it to outspeed base 100s after a Dragon Dance while also improving its overall bulk.

Usage Tips
========

Setting up Dragon Dance safely isn't very difficult for Feraligatr, though it is much more prone to being revenge killed or statused, as it can not outspeed threats who can revenge kill easily as well as status setters. Feraligatr needs threats such as Will-O-Wisp Mew and Roserade weakened to the point he can KO them, which is why setting up is not advised until these Pokemon have been removed. However, once all its counters have been removed, Feraligatr only needs to worry about attacking.

Team Options
========

Feraligatr can make good use of Dual Screen support from the likes of Cresselia or Uxie, as it allows him to set up much easier. Feraligatr is very threatened by Pokemon such as Slowbro and Suicune, making Chesnaught and Tangrowth very helpful partners to deal with them. Lastly, since Feraligatr is threatened by Will-O-Wisp, Rotom-H is a good partner to absorb Will-O-Wisp and neuter Pokemon such as Suicune with Trick.

Other Options
########

Feraligatr can run a RestTalk set due to its decent bulk, but it is outclassed by other bulky Water-types such as Suicune in this role. Feraligatr also can use Superpower, but it lowers Feraligatr's Attack and Defense, and isn't worth using over Earthquake to hit Steel-types. Lastly, Feraligatr has a good special movepool, containing moves such as Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, and Focus Blast. However, its poor Special Attack stat prevents it from making good use of it.

Checks & Counters
########

**Revenge Killers**: Feraligatr is threatened by revenge killers such as Mienshao, Hydreigon, and Heracross, which outspeed and severely damage Feraligatr, even at +1. Pokemon that naturally outspeed Feraligatr such as Choice Specs Noivern can hit Feraligatr hard as well.

**Status**: Feraligatr is threatened by burn and paralysis, as they both stop Feraligatr from sweeping effectively. Mew is a good example of this.

**Physical Walls**: Pokemon such as Chesnaught, Tangrowth and Slowbro can switch in and tank a hit with relative ease. Slowbro can burn Feraligatr with Scald while Tangrowth can Power Whip or status Feraligatr.

Return is the better coverage move for sd as it hits grass types and hydreigon at least neutrally. The only things resisting both are trevenent, jellicent and empoleon. Lum berry in set details, or it could also be slashed. Haze is not used much. So, consider removing it from C&C. Instead you could mention bulky water and grass types. Mention that the sd set should be used as a wallbreaker.

+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Kingdra Outrage vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 337-398 (83.4 - 98.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Feraligatr Waterfall vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mew: 242-285 (59.9 - 70.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Not to mention the 4x resistance to fire and water as opposed to just x2 makes setuping far easier for kingdra. I frankly dont see much point in dd feraligatr and i'd rather use swords dance since it can cause problems to defensive teams and the +2 aqua jet allows it to ignore scarf nape, scarf tini, scarf shao etc, that said i think sd should be the first set.

You're calcing outrage vs waterfall. To get more realistic calcs, calc waterfall against waterfall :/

Ice Punch should be slashed with EQ on the SD set. Also, make sure to give a little mention (just a sentence) in Set Details for the SD set that it suffers from a minor case of 4mss.

at least while sheer force is unreleased, mystic water is a solid option on the SD set, as you have 2 water moves. i think its good enough to be slashed in.

i saw a mistake on the sd set as well, when you say feraligatr is faster than murkrow, when it actually slower, by a huge amount lol. simply remove that and its all good.

do that and 1/3

I'm not QC but after spending about 2 and a half weeks bashing my head off a wall using Feraligatr in Dark Horse, I can say I have some solid experience with it, namely the SD set. It may be iffy sounding, but I honestly feel Crunch is the better option over Return. They may have better neutral coverage (actually somewhat debatable since the Steel nerf allows it to get past Empoleon w/ Crunch), but Crunch allows Feraligatr to break through Slowbro at +2, which you utterly fail to do with Return. Not only this but Crunch still maintains solid neutral coverage in general. Return hits Chesnaught, Hydreigon, Toxicroak, etc. for neutral damage, but it still doesn't enable Feraligatr to get past the former because of its physical bulk (You'd be better with Ice Punch anyway), meanwhile the latter two outspeed you. And even if you have Sticky Web up, Toxicroak can pick off a weakened Gatr with Sucker Punch. Oh yeah, Crunch also murders Jellicent, Trevenant, Mew, etc. :]

For the most part it should be left up to QC but I personally feel Crunch / Ice Punch would be better slashes on the SD set than Return / Ice Punch. Also, a spread of 56 HP / 252 Atk / 200 Spe Adamant can be used since Gatr's able to outrun Adamant Honchkrow and out-prioritize its Sucker Punch with Aqua Jet.

It might also be nuts to say, but at one point I actually messed with Aerial Ace on the DD set, mainly because I still intended to use Crunch for reasons listed above. It's not the same as the Water/Ice/Ground coverage you get with the set listed, but you manage to break through a lot of mons Gatr still lures in after setting up. I chose Aerial Ace as a means of killing Grass-types (OHKOing Chesnaught is nice) and still covering Toxicroak, who still survives Ice Punch after a boost. Not saying it beats the OG set but hey, it could still be a useful thing. It trades general coverage for luring a greater number of checks and killing them readily, though it struggles with Empoleon and faster Dragon-types.

Checks and counters, you might wanna flesh out a bit. The Dragon Dance set is highly susceptible to priority from the likes of Honchkrow, Entei, Toxicroak, and even Fletchinder, since it lacks Aqua Jet. On top of this, Life Orb damage makes it somewhat easy to wear down passively, to be KOed by such moves. Meanwhile the SD set is stopped short by faster Pokemon who can take a +2 Aqua Jet, such as Noivern, Hydreigon, Roserade, Shaymin, Heliolisk, and Toxicroak. Sticky Web support can also be listed in team options for the SD set since it gets the jump on a few of these guys after Sticky Web, too. And you might want to replace that mention of Tangrowth with Chesnaught, if not at least add it on, since it's much more relevant and common in UU as a physically defensive Grass-type than Tangrowth is. Plus, Chesnaught can survive a +2 Ice Punch and KO you in return with Wood Hammer, so that's also something to consider.

On the EVs on the Dragon Dance set, you have Spe written as Spd. I know it's small, but it may be important. Also, your Checks & Counters section should look like **Priority**: instead of *Priority*

Ok i'm just gonna nitpick some of the wording so GP doesn't have to do as much. In overview, you repeat 'some' like 5 times. Try changing that a bit since it doesn't flow very well.
- Change 'ranging from Ice Punch to Earthquake', range suggests something inbetween where you're only actually mentioning 2 moves it gets
- 78 Speed isn't slow by any means and Dragon Dance/priority can alleviate a lot of the problems but 78 is by no means slow especially in terms of a DD/SD sweeper (take Crawdaunt for example had base 55 Speed and the DD set was still viable).
- Mention in set details that due to gatr's fantastic bulk, it can run a Bulky SD/DD set if it wants being able to sponge even strong neutral hits and be able to set up a DD/SD but a speedier spread is better as it's beneficial for Gatr to outrun/outprioritise things like Slowbro, Mew etc etc. bulky set would just be '224 HP / 252 Atk/ 34 Spe Jolly something along those lines, which lets it outspeed base 100s after a DD
- Setting up a DD with Feraligatr isn't what I would call hard, he has the bulk to do so but the DD set is much more susceptible to being revenged killed compared to the SD set which is the reason SD is favoured over DD
- I don't know why Tangrowth keeps being mentioned since Tangrowth really doesn't get the usage to warrant it being a problem. You're better off mentioning, dragons, faster mons that resist Aqua Jet, E.g Shaymin and Roserade and faster mons that can tank Aqua Jet such as Heracross and Lucario so in Usage tips you want to say that it needs to have a) the walls that stop it weakened or b) the faster threats to be weakened so it can kill them with Aqua Jet. Atm you have 'it needs wall A & B removed' and then you say it's meant to be a wallbreaker. Wallbreakers remove these walls, not requires them broken, Feraligatr is indeed meant to be a late game sweeper.
-Mention spikes in team support since spikes + SR really help rack up damage on scarfers like Heracross that could otherwise tank an AJ after a SR switch in. So Lass and Roserade are decent partners. The latter also deals with Bulky Waters that can trouble Feraligatr.
-Also in C&C, I wouldn't exactly call gatr weak to priority since it has bulk better than Blastoise. Unless Gatr has been significantly weakened priority isn't going to be enough to stop it, rather 'Revenge-Killing' is a better term to use since mons like Scarf Mienshao, Heracross etc can revenge with reckless HJK/CC while still outspeeding Gatr at +1. Same with naturally fast mons like Noivern who can drop a Specs Draco, so the DD set is kinda stopped by faster revenge killers since it lacks priority :]

At the moment, i'm not quite comfortable giving this QC 3/3 so make the changes I suggested, call me back and i'll give it one more look over before checking it.

I've done this, this is QC ready once again :]

Switch order of the sets since SD is > DD. Also look through my comments and try to implement more of what I said since some parts that i was trying to help you beef out are still relatively scarce.

After that QC 3/3

Overview
########

Feraligatr is a very underrated Pokemon. It possesses many good features in its arsenal. Firstly, it has a decent base 105 Attack stat, as well as access to two amazing stat boosting moves: Dragon Dance and Swords Dance. It has a solid defensive typing, leaving it weak to only Grass-types and Electric-types, as well as possessing some decent 85 / 100 / 83 bulk, allowing it to take some hits. It also has very good coverage moves, such as Ice Punch and Earthquake, letting him Feraligatr do some damage. However, Feraligatr does have some bad flaws. Firstly, it has a base 78 Speed, which is by no means is slow for a setup sweeper, but fails to outspeed Pokemon such as Mienshao without a Speed boost from Dragon Dance. Another glaring flaw for Feraligatr is the fact that his make this either he or it and stick with it hidden ability, Sheer Force, is unreleased, which takes away a lot of potential damage from his hits, as well as forcing him to use the dreaded Torrent. I'd call it more "situational" than "dreaded" Nonetheless, even with some flaws, Feraligatr can certainly be a huge threat if it sets up.

Swords Dance
########
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Waterfall
move 3: Aqua Jet
move 4: Crunch / Return / Ice Punch
ability: Torrent
item: Life Orb / Mystic Water
evs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 200 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Swords Dance is the most important move on this set, as it boosts Attack by two stages, at the cost of not boosting Speed. Waterfall is Feraligatr's main STAB move, that which does a ton of damage after a boost from Swords Dance. Aqua Jet is a great priority move that is gains STAB, since as this set isn't as focused on Speed as the Dragon Dance set. The last slot has a lot of viable options. Crunch breaks through Slowbro, Mew, and Jellicent and is a good coverage move. Return, in combination with Waterfall and Aqua Jet, provides totally neutral coverage throughout the tier. Ice Punch hits Honchkrow and Hydreigon, making it a good option as well. However, Earthquake can also be used as it counters Raikou and Jirachi, while Low Kick also hits Hydreigon, but more importantly, Registeel.

Set Details
========

252 Attack EVs with an Adamant nature max out Feraligatr's Attack, letting it hit very hard after a Swords Dance boost. 200 Speed EVs allow Feraligatr to outspeed Adamant Honchkrow and out-prioritize KO it before Sucker Punch with Aqua Jet. The remaining 56 HP EVs add to Feraligatr's overall bulk. As for the item, Life Orb lets Feraligatr hit harder, (RC) at the cost of some health. However, Mystic Water can also be used, as there are two Water-type moves on the set and it doesn't drain Feraligatr's health away. This set is not as susceptible to priority due to the HP investment, which is a good thing going for it.

Usage Tips
========

Once all of Feraligatr's threats such as Roserade and Suicune are gone or weakened to the point they can be finished off with a boosted Aqua Jet, Swords Dance is safe to use. Feraligatr's threats need to be very weakened or taken out for Feraligatr to set up and sweep undisturbed. After Swords Dance is used once, Feraligatr turns into a tank, being able to hit opposing Pokemon very hard. Note that when Honchkrow switches in, Aqua Jet outspeeds Honchkrow's Sucker Punch and negates KOes it. Lastly, this set is not used as a general sweeper, but more as a late-game cleaner sweeper.

Team Options
========

To make setting up with Swords Dance much easier, Feraligatr can benefit from dual screens support, (RC) to take hits much better. Rotom-H is a good partner as Trick hurts walls such as Suicune and Slowbro, and it can take Will-O-Wisps that scare Feraligatr. Spikes setters are also very helpful, as they weaken Pokemon such as Choice Scarf Heracross, then allow Feraligatr to finish them with a boosted Aqua Jet, which makes Pokemon such as Froslass and Roserade good partners. Lastly, Sticky Web support is very helpful as it allows Feraligatr to outspeed threats such as Toxicroak and Shaymin, who which have to be wary of a boosted Return or Ice Punch.

Dragon Dance
########
name: Dragon Dance
move 1: Dragon Dance
move 2: Waterfall
move 3: Ice Punch
move 4: Earthquake
ability: Torrent
item: Life Orb
evs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 228 Spe
nature: Jolly

Moves
========

The main star of this set is Dragon Dance, which boosts his Attack and Speed both by 1 stage, which allows him to begin sweeping. Waterfall is the strongest STAB move that Feraligatr can use, which is very threatening to Pokemon who that don't resist it, especially after a boost from Dragon Dance. Ice Punch is a good coverage move that threatens Honchkrow and Hydreigon very much, as it OHKOes both of them after a boost from Dragon Dance. Earthquake is a very powerful move that gets rid of threatening Electric-types in the tier such as Raikou as well as getting rid of the dreaded Jirachi. Lastly, Aerial Ace has a relevant niche, as it 2HKOes Chesnaught and has a good chance to OHKO Toxicroak after a boost from Dragon Dance.

Set Details
========

252 Attack EVs with an Adamant nature max out Feraligatr's Attack stat, allowing it to hit as hard as possible, and helps Feraligatr become especially threatening after an Attack boost from Dragon Dance. 228 Speed EVs allow Feraligatr to outspeed neutrally-natured base 120s after one Speed booost. 28 HP EVs are dropped into Feraligatr's HP and give its HP a small boost. Life Orb gives a significant boost to Feraligatr's damage output. Feraligatr can also run a bulky variation of this set due to its decent bulk, with an EV spread of 224 HP / 252 Atk / 34 Spe with a Jolly nature, allowing it to outspeed base 100s after a Speed boost from Dragon Dance.

Usage Tips
========

Setting up Dragon Dance safely isn't exactly difficult for Feraligatr, but he is much more prone to being revenge killed or statused. Feraligatr needs threats such as Will-O-Wisp Mew and Roserade weakened to the point he can get rid of them, which is why setting up is not advised until it is guaranteed that Feraligatr can sweep undisturbed. However, after setting up a Dragon Dance with all threats gone, Feraligatr only needs to worry about attacking.

Team Options
========

Like most Pokemon who that need to set up, Feraligatr can make good use of dual screens support, and take hits well enough to set up. Feraligatr is very threatened by Pokemon such as Slowbro and Suicune, which makes Chesnaught and Tangrowth very helpful partners to counter those two. Lastly, since because Feraligatr is very threatened by Will-O-Wisp, Rotom-H is a good partner to take the Will-O-Wisps and counter those the aforementioned walls with Trick.

Other Options
########

Feraligatr can run a RestTalk set as it doesn't have terrible bulk, but is very outclassed by other bulky Water-types such as Suicune in this role. Feraligatr also can also use Superpower can be used, but it lowers Feraligatr's Attack and Defense, which can be crucial in some situations, and isn't worth using over Earthquake to hit Steel-types. Lastly, Feraligatr has a good special arsenal such as Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, and Focus Blast, but doesn't have the stats to use it.

Checks & Counters
########

**Revenge Killing** Feraligatr is threatened by revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Mienshao and Choice Scarf Heracross, (AC) which who outspeed Feraligatr even at +1 and cause some serious serious damage with High Jump Kick or Close Combat. Some Pokemon that naturally outspeed it, (AC) such as Choice Specs Noivern, (AC) can drop a hard hit on Feraligatr as well.

**Status** Whether it be the Dragon Dance or Swords Dance set, Both of Feraligatr's sets are is threatened by burn and paralysis, as they both stop him from sweeping effectively.

**Physical Walls** Pokemon such as Chesnaught, Tangrowth, (AC) or Slowbro can switch in and tank whatever hit Feraligatr can offer, and then Slowbro can burn with Scald or Tangrowth can hit with Power Whip or status Feraligatr it.

Overview

Feraligatr is a very underrated Pokemon. (RP) It possesses many good features in its arsenal. Firstly, it has a decent base 105 Attack stat, (RP) as well as access to two amazing stat boosting moves: (RC) in Dragon Dance and Swords Dance, making it a very underrated setup sweeper. It also has a solid defensive typing, (RC) that leaving leaves it weak to only Grass-types and Electric-types Electric-type attacks. (AP) , (RC) as well as possessing some Combine this with decent 85/100/83 85 / 100 / 83 bulk, allowing it to and Feraligatr can easily take a hit and set up a boost some hits. It also has very good coverage moves, such as Ice Punch and Crunch Earthquake, meaning it can be hard to wall once it has set up. (Crunch > EQ since Crunch is on the set) letting him do some damage. However, Feraligatr does have some bad notable flaws. Firstly, it Feraligatr has a base 78 Speed, (RC) which is by no means is slow for a set up sweeper, (RC) but meaning it fails to outspeed Pokemon such as Mienshao without before a Speed boost from Dragon Dance. (78 Speed is pretty slow for a setup sweeper) Another glaring flaw for Feraligatr is the fact that his hidden ability, Sheer Force, is unreleased, which takes away a lot of potential damage from his hits, as well as forcing him to use the dreaded Torrent. (There's no need to mention something that's not released. As such, I'd mention some other flaws here. What else is keeping Feraligatr from being a prominent threat in UU? Outclassed by other Pokemon? Lacking coverage? Mention that here, because there's definitely more than its Speed) Nonetheless, even with some flaws, Feraligatr can certainly be a huge threat if it sets up. (This doesn't add anything; remember to not add conclusions unless they add something to the analysis.)

Return, in combination with Waterfall and Aqua Jet, provides totally perfect neutral coverage throughout the tier. Ice Punch hit hits Honchkrow and Hydreigon for super effective damage, making it a good coverage option as well. Overview
########

Feraligatr possesses a decent base 105 Attack stat,(AC) as well as two amazing stat boosting moves in Dragon Dance and Swords Dance, making it a very underrated setup sweeper. It also has a solid defensive typing that leaves it weak to only Grass- and Electric-type attacks. Combine this with decent satisfactory (you used it twice) 85 / 100 / 83 bulk, and Feraligatr can easily take a hit and set up a boost. It also has very good coverage moves, such as Ice Punch and Crunch, meaning it can be hard to wall once it has set up. However, Feraligatr does have some notable flaws. Firstly, Feraligatr it has a base 78 Speed,(AC) meaning it fails to outspeed Pokemon such as Mienshao before a Dragon Dance (...Mienshao isn't even remotley close to being outsped, maybe choose a mon like Hera which is kinda close to it's speed tier). Another one of Feraligatr's glaring flaws for Feraligatr is the fact that his its hidden ability, Sheer Force, is unreleased, which takes away a lot of potential damage from his hits, as well as forcing him to use the dreaded Torrent (filler). Feraligatr also faces competition as a set-up sweeper from Toxicroak, who is faster and has a better ability (can you elaborate? what your saying is basically that gatr is outclassed by anything that can set up). Nonetheless, even with some flaws, Feraligatr can certainly be a huge threat if it manages to sets up. (not qc, but you should probs mention that it has priority)

Swords Dance

name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Waterfall
move 3: Aqua Jet
move 4: Crunch / Return / Ice Punch
ability: Torrent
item: Life Orb / Mystic Water
evs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 200 Spe
nature: Adamant

Moves
========

Swords Dance boosts Feraligatr's Attack by two stages, allowing it to do massive damage to the opponent. Waterfall is Feraligatr's main STAB attack that does a ton of damage after a boost from Swords Dance. Aqua Jet is a great priority move that is boosted by STAB, and it allows Feraligatr to KO faster Pokemon after a boost. The last slot can be customized depending on what your team needs dealt with. Crunch allows Feraligatr to break through Slowbro, Mew, and Jellicent, (is jelli even relevant anymore?) and gets good overall coverage. Return, in combination with Waterfall and Aqua Jet, provides perfect neutral coverage throughout the tier. Ice Punch hits Honchkrow and Hydreigon for super effective damage, making it a good coverage option as well. However, Earthquake can also be used to hit Raikou and Jirachi, (crunch hits jirachi too fwiw) while Low Kick can be used to hit Hydreigon, but more importantly, Registeel (registeel? that's not relevant at all. not qc, but take it out).

**Revenge Killers**: Feraligatr is threatened by revenge killers such as Choice Scarf Mienshao, Choice Scarf Hydreigon, and Choice Scarf Heracross, (you said revenge killer, so it's implied that they're scarfed) which outspeed and severely damage Feraligatr, even at +1. **Status**: Feraligatr is threatened by burn and paralysis, as they both stop Feraligatr from sweeping effectively. (examples of mons that can inflict status on it imo)
