In bw(2) Drizzle and swift swim are banned to be on the same team but since in X/Y drizzle doesnt summon a perm rain anymore i can assume that it is allowed.

RainForest (Politoed) (F) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Perish Song
- Ice Beam
- Encore
- Toxic

Politoed is my rain inducer, i gave him the moves Scald to criple physical attackers. The move Ice beam and Hidden power (grass) to cover my grass and thunder weakness. While playing online i see alot of Charizard Y and with the drizzle ability he can stop Drought and when chirizard is using solar beam he will have to recharge (if i switch in on this move)

Hermit (Tentacruel) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Rain Dish
EVs: 240 Def / 252 HP / 16 Spd
Bold Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- Protect
- Scald
- Rapid Spin

This tentacrual is from my old Hail team i made for fun, but thanks to his ability he got a place on this team. In all my teams i use an entryhazard and toxic so why not combine these two and get Toxic Spikes on the field. Blizzard was on it because of the hail team, I might change it to another attack with move relearner, rebreed one OR remove this one for a mega pokemon. I also do need help with a diff item to put on him since black sludge is already taken by Toxicroak. Rapid spin to slap entryhazards away that might get planted by the opposing team or magic bounce user. Also when i notice my opponent uses some poisone type or 2 to 3 fysical attackers i will refrain from poison and scald them for a lucky burn to criple them down the road.

Leprechaun (Kabutops) (M) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Swift Swim
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Adamant Nature
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Jet
- Low Kick
- Waterfall

Kabutops is my late-game sweeper and bird murderer, Stone edge and Low Kick are added for the combined coverage for my team and Waterfall to get some decent STAB dmg in under rain. The ability swift swim will double his speed to outspeed some mons wiuthout the need of setting up speed. Swords Dance is so he can sweep throu some walls that might face him (blissey for example)

BrockBlock (Toxicroak) (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 12 Spe / 244 HP / 132 Atk / 120 Def
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Poison Jab
Toxicroak the BrockBlocker from the anime, i really wanted a poison type in my team and then i found out that toxicroak has acces to the ability dryskin. The EV spread i gave him and Bulk Up is to last for some turns in a battle. to support (and the lack of a proper roost move) this idea i gave him Drain punch and substitue so he can last for an annoying time while my opponent either switches out or tries to get rid of my substitute (i love this move xD)

Velocity (Scizor) (M) @ Scizorite
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Rain Dance
- U-turn
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit

At first i had Crobat on this spot but after some testing i really lacked a mega pokemon that could pack a good punch and could withstand psy attacks on the switch in. And the only weakness Scizor has is fire which is weakened by the Rain and gets soaked up by Tentacruel. The reason why i have raindance on him is because i did need a back up raindancer even though i rarely need it (once Politoed dies its most of the times near the end and either tentacrual or Kabutops have taken out the fire types like zard-y) Pursuit of for the forced switchout my opponent will take when i switch in on poison types or anything that has a high chance of swithcing out. At first i had Swords Dance in his move set but the problem is i switch alot in and out so it would be a waste imo to set up a SD so i replaced that one with U-turn for some good type matchup or soaking in some dmg.

Unlucky (Thundurus-Therian) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Focus Blast
- Volt Switch
- Thunder

Thundurus-t is here to get some nice heal of many common electric users. And for the fact i didnt have a physical wall breaker (special atacker) the only thing i need to look out for are the obvious hiddenpower ice and other ice moves (and rock but ice attacks have a priority to look out for since i can survive a nonboosted Stone Edge. He also has the function of switching in on eartquakes what used to ravage my other team members. When i notice my opponent has the option of using ice moves ill swtch into my tentacrual to take the dmg and set up some toxic spikes.
Focus Blast is such a gift to this pokemon, with this move he just massacres Tyranytars and all other mons that are weak to it ecause of his amazing base SpA.

As you can see i dont use a mega evolve pokemon, I dont know what mega pokemon to use so i build this first format without one i am still looking for one but ill need a rain team "expert" to help me decide what mega pokemon to use or something to get really good type voverage that i dont have yet (maybe mega blastoise with raindish, since i have some hidden ability wartortles with 4 perfect IVs) and i do need new items on Crobat and Tentacruel so if anyone can suggest an item for those two ill be happy.

The biggest threat so far against this team is Mega-Ampharos his ability MoldBreaker completely scews over Thundurus-T if you forget about it.

Pokemon I am testing right now
None pokemon are on my test list, sugestion are open to get some more type coverage for my team (without losing too much of the rain traits)

Vaporeon with hydration and rest
Goodra with hydration

Goodra is bulky but the problem is his normal defence s*cks major ass :/ so i think i'd rather go for vaporeon but the only problem is that its hard to find a mon to replace her with D:

Back in the old days of BW, I ran a rain team that was very similar to this one. I may not be able to help out alot, but I know a few things that could be changed for better synergy. Politoed should run Encore instead of Scald, because you really only need one STAB attack and Encore can provide switch opportunities. I would recommend replacing your Tentacruel's Blizzard with Protect. You could probably use your Crobat in a more defensive role with Taunt and Defog replacing U-turn and Cross Poison. One of the best stall breakers IMO. Your Rotom needs to go. Put Mega Manectric or Mega Ampharos on so you can abuse a STAB 100% accuracy Thunder. Nice team though :D

This is my first time reviewing a team and i'm new to competitive battling however i feel like there are some flaws in this team.

RainForest (Politoed) (F) @ Damp Rock
Ability: Drizzle
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Toxic/hypnosis
- Encore
With the current set you have right now, chansey/blissey, jellicent will wall politoed really hard. Even with hp grass, that would do much to jellicent.
4 SpA Politoed Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Blissey in Rain: 127-150 (17.7 - 21%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery
The reason why i chose toxic/hypnosis and encore they are your best friends when going against walls. Toxic/Hypnosis causes chansey/blissey to switch out for the nature cure and if that doesnt work, the encore will force them to switch giving you a free switch into something.

Hermit (Tentacruel) (F) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Rain Dish
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 240 Def / 252 HP / 16 Spd
Bold Nature
- Toxic Spikes
- Ice Beam/Protect
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
Nothing much to say but personally i prefer accuracy over damage on a wall pokemon.
And black sludge is a better option as you will heal twice as much and with protect, you can stall them out for more heal.

Leprechaun (Kabutops) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Swift Swim
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Stone Edge
- Aqua Jet
- Low Kick
- Waterfall
I reckon that a priority attack is better than SD just in case politoed is out and you won't have that speed bonus. Changing from Adamant to Jolly is necessary because again if politoed is out, 259 speed isn't that great to sweep.

BrockBlock (Toxicroak) (M) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 40 Def / 216 Spd
Jolly Nature

- Swords Dance
- Drain Punch
- Sucker Punch
- Substitute/Poison Jab
This ev spread is just enough to out-speed mamoswine before it can earthquake. Reason why i chose SD over bulk up is because it is not turn effective. I seriously doubt that someone would let you sub and bulk up 2+ times. Poison Jab is to counter fairies if you don't want to run sub.

PrettyFly (Crobat) (F) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Infiltrator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 120 HP / 136 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Taunt
- Roost
- U-turn
I don't know why you would run scope lens so yeah... Taunt is there because Crobat is an excellent lead/stall breaker due to its speed because 49.5% of the time, your opponent would lead with a hazard setter, the other 49.5% is a volt-turn poke and the 1% would send something something random.

SeeMeMowin (Rotom-Mow) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 68 Def / 188 SDef /252 Hp
Calm Nature
- Leaf Storm
- Volt Switch
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
Yeah this set is fine i guess. Not a massive fan of rotom-mow. Trick-scarf might be an option.

I'm just going to be blunt and say that this team is not great.
FLAWS:
Volt-turn:
Jolteon, Mega-Manetric, Tornadus-T and other volt-turners is going to play alot of games on you.
Volt switching and u-turn is going to be your enemy. Yes you got someone that takes 4x resist thunder but you will take 2x damage from u-turn.

Special wall:
You will be relying on rotom-mow alot when going against any thunder move.

Special attacker:
You dont have a pokemon that can take out a physical wall such as quagsire, skarmory, forretress etc...

Rain:
Because of the nerf to weather, relying on one pokemon for rain is unwise. If for politoed is out, your team is basically ruined.

Improvement:
Personally i would add someone like thundurus-t to the team just to take the thunder hit and switch out for the obvious hp ice. also it can be your special attacker.

Also, hydration goodra would be pretty good with your team. it has great special defense and good special attack, can take status all day every day (with rain of course) with the combination of the rain,

Zapdos is a great option to set up rain due to its speed and decent bulk.

Best of luck with the team!

xNaminex Yes you hit the nail on the head my greatest flaw are thunder types, after around 20 battles i noticed that raikous or any other hard hitting thunder types where really hard to deal with. So ill take in account te train a tundurus (i love the design of that mon xD or go for a zapdos with hidden ability lightningrod)

You also suggested to put some blacksludges on my other mons but the problem is you can only use each item once in a team (unless you use trick to get a left overs or something from the enemy and give them something like stickybarb) So i still need to look for diff items for them.

For the change in Crobats moveset ill give it a try and see how it works out.
And glad to see Toxicroak with poisonjab because that was my original plan but it didnt fit in the bulk-up set. (btw dry skin heal + blacksludge heal is INSANE and really OP with sub since you get your sub hp back in the same turn).

I am also testing out a scizor with raindance @scizorite with tecnician ability since i lack a mega pokemon and his weakness fire will get better due to fire being wesker with rain. I need to test what pokemon to replace with him but im sure to replace rotom with tundurus-t

I am also thinking of giving Kabutops a lum berry (to heal any status ailments), give thundurus-t life orb and get Crobat a leftovers.

Any thoughts about my new format? The only thing that might sometimes be hard for me to get rid of extremely bulky Dragon types but most of the times i wear them down by Stall Toxic. Steel types are getting a Scald burn threathment and after that get semi-stalled to death. But it would be nice to be able to get them faster down. I have been fighting around 73 battles with this new format and it is really to my liking, what i might need is to get a phazing move like roar or something just get rid of pokemon that set up too many shellsmashes or something.

hmm the only bulky dragon type i can think that is worth using is goodra. In that case someone with a physical ice move such as mamoswine should do the trick. Now the only problem is, what to switch out. Both your main physical attackers are based around the rain so by taking them out, i wouldn't really consider it as a rain dance team. It really hard trying to build your team around the rain whilst trying to cover all grounds.

*BUMP*

I plan on changing scizor for another mega i have no idea what mega pokemon are viable for me (maybe mega-venesaur) and would like some oppinions and ideas on this matter.

So please suggest a new mega-pokemon and why you would switch him into this team. I am extremely clueless when it goes about mega pokemon xD
