[LOSS] Flower Paradise (Normal) - Arcanite and Frosty

Soundtrack

The once verdant Seabreak Path now looks like a shade of its former self. Where flowers bloomed in a myriad colours, now you can only see withered plants, the lifeless shells that have been left behind by the miasma seeping all over the land. In the distance, you can hear the cry of a lone Mandibuzz, looking for any carcass lying around in the wasteland.

Unfortunately, it seems like the corruption has not spared the Flower Paradise itself, either. The Gracidea fields have been turned to dust, and any sign of life has long since disappeared from this land. However, mindful of your mission, you steel yourselves and proceed through the wasteland, heading deeper in the island where the dial lies.

Surprisingly, the dial still stands. A small patch of uncorrupted life surrounds it, as if the ancient building alone could keep off the corrupting miasma. As you approach it, however, a feminine laugh echoes in the air, sending chills down your spine.

"Foolish mortals. You and your kind are so predictable"

As you turn your eyes above, a dreadful shape materializes in the air.

"Look around yourself", she adds, with an ample gesture of her arm. "This is a picture of your future. This is the prelude of the Twilight".
You call forth your Pokemon allies in self-defense, but their attacks are easily blocked by the shadowy lady.
"I could extinguish your life in the space of an eyeblink if I wanted", she noted, with a gelid tone in her voice. Then, with a malevolent smile, she continues, "But where would be the enjoyment in it? Let me introduce you to a new acquaintance of mine..."
The ground beneath you starts shaking menacingly, while the tainted vines entwine into a large grove. As the grove opens wide, you find yourselves staring before who once was charged with the protection of this land... or rather, a shade of what he once was. Shaymin's foliage grew black and grey, and now its once jolly eyes burn with hatred and pain.

The evil creature of shadows disappears in the meanwhile, fading with the same rapidity with which she showed up, leaving you with the not-so-easy task of facing the twisted warden of Flower Paradise!

I hate it when I feel like a swiss cheese only after the raid starts. We could use Trick Room here.

This deals a very depressing 125hp of damage which is really really bad given that, in the current circumstances, we need to deal exactly that to not lose to Withering Miasma.

Not gonna lie to you. I don't think we have a chance from a strictly mathematical point of view. I feel that we need more power to break through, and by "power" I mean "fire-artifacts".

But let's carry on, I suppose. Worst case scenario we scout...something. Not all or close to it probably ._.''.

Round 1

Keaton channels through her mystical stone to summons intense sunlight upon the blighted battlefield, then shields her team mates with a protective barrier. Shaymin retaliates with a beam of dazzling light, but only Cloud Strife seems to take major damage from it. Nevertheless, the Cyclohm stands still and helps the team mate Ninetales building up defenses, allowing the other two Fire-types to go on the offense. Fyrus's flaming burst hits everyone, but the Ninetales and the Arcanine manage to turn the heat into further strength. The same cannot be said about Cloud, but at least the Cyclohm does seem somewhat resistant to the flames. Now that the stage is set, all team mates are free to lash out at the enemy. Shaymin turns against Firion and strikes him with a verdant storm, but the Arcanine holds ground.

Still... the miasma seeps slowly through the battlefield, feeding restless souls to rise and turn against the raid squad! Moreover, it looks like the corruption is slowly taking hold of the team members.

Round 2

The team quickly dispatches the reanimated Phantump before they can become a nuisance, before focusing on Shaymin once again. The foe assaults Fyrus with elemental attacks, but the Pyroak shrugs them off easily and crushes the little Grass-type with all his weight.

Right when you felt comfortable, however, the blight that curses the land animates another deranged spirit against you!

Those orders kill trevenant before it does silly stuff and with only a 10% chance of things going wrong. The damage output on Shaymin is...well not great, but oh well. Still above 125hp!

Also regarding chill: If we attack and chill we will have EN closer to the upper limits and since withering miasma is a thing, I don't feel that is a good idea. So let's go all out and continue to do so and chill only when absolutely necessary, so we don't suffer with the miasma more than the absolute necessary.

Nevertheless, Trevenant falls quickly to the team's fiery assault, allowing its members to lash once again at the main enemy. Shaymin keeps attacking Fyrus relentlessly, but the Pyroak has been enduring its onslaught rather well insofar.

This opening however is shortlived, as the miasma keeps rising more disturbed spirits to wander into your battle!

Basically what we did before with Light Screen>Flamethrower. Reflect isn't worth it. Yeah Facade is a thing, but reflect only reduces damage by less than 5hp. I don't feel it is enough given that we are on a fucking damage race.

Also, when you have the time, get incinerate on cyclohm (and trick room too!). If we have to redo this, Incinerate would be better for the phantump turns (Incinerate + Heat Wave from Ninetales does the trick iirc and leaves arcanine to deal damage to shaymin) and trick room...well if the second stage of this battle goes as I think it will, we will want it.
