Gem and Canis stoood at other sides of the ASB arena, preparing to send out a Pokemon. Gem's choice was easily made, having only brought one Pokemon, a Machop, which Gem snuggly fit with an EXP Share. Canis, however, brought three Pokemon to a 1v1. Obviously compensating for something, Canis threw out a Pokeball containing a Monohm, only for it to have to walk/fly/teleport (what the devil is a Monohm) to be outfitted with a EXP Share much like the one Gem's Machop was wearing. In a stroke of inspiration, Canis picked up his Monohm, whispered a command to his Pokemon, and threw it at the Machop, where it threw a large bolt of lightning thunder in midair. However, Canis's aim was true, and Monohm landed headfirst on Machop's outstretched fist, probably giving that Monohm a concussion. Although seeing three Machops, Monohm threw a distinctly smaller bolt of lightni- THUNDER at the Machop in the middle, striking true. However, Machop quickly closed the distance between itself and Monohm, shaking off the bolts of ligh- THUNDER like a Machamp and retaliating with an ice cold punch. Injured, Monohm pulled on reserves in itself to throw another large bolt of electricity at its opponent, who decided to just repeat what works and hit again with another freezing blow. Monohm emulated Machop and threw another large bolt of thunder, sending it flying. However, it landed with a thud, shaking the stadium itself; as well as hitting Machop's opponent for major damage. In a desperate attempt at victory, Monohm called up a larger amount of electricity than it was used to, and threw it at Machop, striking it dead on. Barely hanging on, Machop ran at Monohm with cold fury, and took advantage of Monohm's tiredness to end the match with a punch to the ground, knocking out Gem's opponent with just enough strength to remain standing itself.
