Gothita

[SoPro Outrage]

I recently made a team with a gothita and it had this set

Gothita (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Shadow Tag
Level: 5
EVs: 36 Def / 236 SAtk / 236 Spd
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Trick

Apparently gothita can't learn trick with a certain move or its ability, so I just want to know why this is.

I'm not sure because I'm at work, but if trick was a tutor move, a level 5 gothita can't exist with shadow tag due to them being level 10 out of dream world, and trick being a tutor move than gen 6 doesn't have

For future reference though, you shouldn't start new threads to ask simple questions like this. Things of this nature can easily be answered by community members on Smogon, Pokemon Showdown!, or on IRC in #littlecup, or can alternatively be answered by doing a bit of research on the internet. If you've seen the FAQ threat/new player thread, you'd realize blarajan planned for it to be an equivalent to SQSA threads with more beneficial affects such as introducing new players into this generation.
