IAR and Matezoide are locking up a battle slot!

Arena: TELEPORTATION!
Field Type:
Variable
Complexity: Variable
Format: Variable

Restrictions: Weather Effects, Room Effects, Terrain Effects, Entry Hazards, & Gravity only last until the end of a round unless the same arena is rolled twice in a row. Otherwise, Variable

Description: Yes, you better believe it! At the end of every round (And at the beginning of the match), the referee will roll a number between 0* & however many arenas there are in the arena compendium thread (Each representing an arena in the Arena Compendium Thread in chronological order)**. Whichever number you roll, for the next round, the battle will take place on that arena. It is as simple as that.

*0 represents the ASB Tournament Arena.
**All arenas designed by user Glacier Knight are excluded from the randomization as well as the arena: "Leethoof's Shieldon Training Zone". If the referee deems a rolled arena too bullshit like Glacier Knight's "Make your own Meal", then the referee can roll again.

Concept Arenas do not count, either... Neither does TELEPORTATION! itself.

Summary: A new arena every round.

(There are 114 arenas on page 1, 65 arenas on page 2, and 97 arenas on page 3, excluding Glacier, Mulan, and Shieldon Training Zone)

Team Its_A_Random:
I take it you are still reffing the 13v13 hahaha...

Team Matezoide:
ty ty ty <3
hawlucha.png

<Hawlucha> [El Fuerte] (M)
Nature: Adamant (+1 Attack, -1 Sp.Attack)

Type:

Fighting: Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions on Circle Throw, Seismic Toss, Sky Drop, Storm Throw, Submission, and Vital Throw.

Flying: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks and the Arena Trap Ability except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity, even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Will always hit foes with Dig (except other Flying types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Unaffected by Spikes or Toxic Spikes. when switching in. Able to hit Pokemon in the evasive stage of Bounce, Fly or Sky Drop with single target moves that hit Pokemon on the field regardless of position.

About: A highly regarded wrestler in his town, El Fuerte had considerable fame on Kalos, known as the greatest wrestler in the entire region. Upon finding the forest he lived in, Matezoide approached and was, just like several others, challenged by the Hawlucha for a fight. After a tough fight with Oliver, where Fuerte's experience started to give him the edge over the Chatot, the Normal/Flying type managed to use his small body, as well as better flying capacity, to zig-zag around the forest. Despite knowing the place very well, Fuerte was unable to keep up with Oliver's stealthiness and was eventually knocked out by a Boomburst at point-blank range.
Defeated, the Hawlucha enthusiastically joined the team in order to improve his body and soul.

Abilites:

Unburden (Passive):

This Pokemon is incredibly possessive. If it uses or loses an item in battle its rage swells and its Speed doubles (x2) until it receives another item. This ability only activates on the first use of a consumable item - subsequent uses of the same item do not activate Unburden, even if the Pokemon switches out between uses.

Limber (Passive):

This Pokemon’s body is well trained and immune to paralysis.

Mold Breaker (HIDDEN ABILITY LOCKED, Passive):

Whenever this Pokemon attacks, it emits an invisible, blindingly quick pulse preceding the attack that disables the opponents natural abilities (e.g. Levitators plummet towards the ground before Earthquake hits, Volt Absorb will not absorb electric attacks, Clear Body does not prevent stat-drops, etc.)

Abilities bypassed by Mold Breaker:
Code:
Battle Armor
Big Pecks (immunity to defense drops from moves like Screech and Rock Smash)
Clear Body
Contrary (reversal of stat changes caused by the Mold Breaker Pokemon)
Damp
Dry Skin (immunity to Water-type moves and extra damage from Fire-type moves)
Filter
Flash Fire
Flower Gift (BAP reduction to attacks from the Mold Breaker Pokemon)
Friend Guard
Heatproof (resistance to Fire-type moves)
Heavy Metal (weight increase when calculating effects of the Mold Breaker Pokemon's moves)

Insomnia (immunity to sleep; the sleep will be cured next action)
Keen Eye (immunity to accuracy drops from moves like Sand-Attack and Mud-Slap)
Leaf Guard
Levitate
Light Metal (weight decrease when calculating effects of the Mold Breaker Pokemon's moves)
Lightningrod (attacks still get redirected but do damage instead of boosting special attack)
Limber (the paralysis will be cured next action)

<Heracross> [Jaime] (M)
Nature: Jolly (-1 Sp.Attack, +15% Speed, + 11% accuracy, +9% Accuracy [Mega])

Type:

Fighting STAB; ignore weight restrictions on Circle Throw, Seismic Toss, Sky Drop, Storm Throw, Submission, and Vital Throw.

Bug STAB; more mobility in dense brush or forest conditions. Gains one extra attack on multi-hit moves, with a cap of five (5).

About: A Heracross that came in contact with a dark Mega-Stone, Jaime's mind was corrupted by it's very touch. Mega Evolving, the Bug/Fighting rampaged around Kalos for a long time, destroying forests and cities wherever he went. Matezoide was among the trainers that took on the job to take him down by any means necessary. Depositing the majority of his Kalos pokemon on the box, the trainer took a few of his older pokemons and, eventually, found him.
Without a conscience to hold him back, as well as far more power than a regular Mega-Heracross, Jamie attacked and managed to match the likes of Johnny, Natara and Nefertina in hand-to-hand combat, one after the other, defeating them all. Before Matezoide could send out anyone else, the Bug/Fighting type slammed into the trainer, causing his pokeballs to scatter around the ground. Highly damaged, the three attacked one more time, but again, they were defeated.
Setting sights on Matezoide, Jaime advanced, thinking of nothing more than death. Luckly, the Heracronite Matezoide had found earlier began to react, and, with a powerful light, Jaime's own Dark Mega-Stone was on the ground, and the Heracross, cured.
After delivering the stone for studies, Jaime begged to go with him. Without a home and not being able to face the people of Kalos, the Bug/Fighting type began to cry. The young traveler understood the situation and allowed the Heracross to go with him.

Abilites:
Guts (Passive):

This Pokemon is tenacious and will work ever harder when under a status condition, raising the Base Attack Power of all its physical attacks by two (2). Pokemon with Guts ignore the attack drop from burn.
Swarm (Passive):

When this Pokemon's HP is lower than 33% (flat), the Base Attack Power of any Bug-typed attack is increased by 2. (eg Silver Wind goes from 6 to 8, X-Scissor from 8 to 10)

Moxie (HIDDEN ABILITY LOCKED, Passive):
This Pokemon gets psyched after it earns a KO on an opposing Pokemon, increasing its attack by one (1) stage. This boost is maintained at the end of each round.
Skill-Link (Mega Evolution, Passive):

This Pokemon's skillful aim makes its multi-hit moves always hit 5 times. The Energy Cost of multi-hit attacks is increased by three (3).

About: Vivi originates from a small village, where the Pumpkaboo are loved by it's inhabitants due to their unique abilites of carrying souls to their resting place. Tired of always having some dude inside her, Vivi eventually fled. The other Pumpkaboo, however, were less than thrilled and thus, she was quickly followed to be taken back.
Eventually, she came across a huge labyrinth, where she met a Honedge that, understanding her, helped her hide for several months there, alongside the other pokemon that lived there.
After the heat was down, Vivi left, but her new friend decided to follow. Both were eventually captured by Matezoide. Much to her luck, he already passed through the village and left Kalos soon after.

Type:

Dragon: Dragon STAB; -1 BAP on incoming neutral attacks Dragon itself would resist (e.g. -1 BAP on Aqua Jet against Garchomp.) Unable to have Thrash or Outrage disrupted by oncoming damage.

About: Despite being the strongest Axew out of her brothers, Yumi was always threated differently due to being a girl. While she was forced to learn how to take care of babies and get vegetables, her brothers were taught how to hunt by her father. Unable to take this for any longer, Yumi ran away. Learning how to fend off and hunt by herself, the Axew finally felt happy.
One day, however, she was ambushed by Chuck, who was having fun assassinating other wild pokemon to test his new power after training with Itsumo. Yumi fought fiercely, but she was no match for the fallen Bannete. Thankfully, Chuck noticed Matezoide and some of his pokemon approaching and quickly escaped. Yumi was nursed back to health having little memory of her assaliant and happily agreed to join her saviors.
As a Haxorus, Yumi suffered a small......''incident'' with white paint, and, upon realising how she looked, as well as knowing the green would always remind her of those who forsake her, Yumi decided to permanently dye herself. The new visual, as well as her overwhelming physical strength that surprasses even the likes of Rob and Jaime, makes Yumi extremely easy to notice.

Gluttony (HIDDEN ABILITY UNLOCKED): (Passive) This Pokemon devours healing and stat increasing berries at 50% health (flat) instead of 25% health (flat).

Arena: 193
Nope!

Arena: 271
Arena: Ancient Graveyard
Type: Ghost/Dark
Complexity: Simple/Moderate
Flavor: You have been searching the woods for hours, looking for the defined arena. Finally, you come across a wide clearing, 100x100 feet wide. Inside the clearing is a graveyard, 80x80 feet wide. In the center of the graveyard, a Cofagrigus, surrounded by Pumpkaboo and Misdreavus. You step into the graveyard, only to have a Curse attack come straight at 1 of your Pokemon(RNG to determine which). You see a Trainer fighting off a gang of Misdreavus, and you help by attacking the Misdreavus. This takes 5 EN off of each of your Pokemon. After the Misdreavus are defeated, you see that the other Trainer is your opponent. You each throw out your Pokemon, and the battle begins!

So:
5 EN missing from each Pokemon at start of battle.

Curse on 1 of each side's Pokemon at beginning of battle.

Sand, Hail and Sun can not be summoned. Rain requires Damp Rock.

No external water source. Dead grass provides grass source, and gravestones can be used as rocks.

If Dig, Outrage, Thrash, or Rock Smash are used in the arena, the Misdreavus get angry that your Pokemon is disturbing the souls of the dead Pokemon and people here and target the user with Shadow Ball or Power Gem. Calculate this as if 1 Misdreavus was using Shadow Ball(or Power Gem, if user is Normal-type) on the user of the move, dealing HP of damage.

Dark-type and Ghost-type Pokemon can absorb the energy from the souls of Pokemon and people, and with -5 priority, recover 2 EN or 2 HP(trainer's choice).

Spiritomb and Sableye recover both 2 EN and 2 HP from the previous effect.

IAR sends first.

Brick Break -> Flying Press -> Brick Break

If Diggersby is under the evasive effect of a damaging/evasive move, use Fly that action

Best of luck, IAR. Although you are likely to beat my ass, i am sure this will be a good learning experience for me.

Arena: 39
Field Type: Steel, would also be good for Rock/Ground
Complexity: Moderate
Format: All
Restrictions: Always Sandstorm unless a weather move is used, but other weather only lasts 3 rounds; Digging is difficult for not particularly strong Pokemon or non-Ground Pokemon; no water source

It is a field that is about 300 feet (or something like 100 meters for people from various parts of the world) by about 200 feet. The floor is aluminum (aluminum is soft for a metal, so some Pokemon can dig: very strong Pokemon or ground-types, otherwise digging will cost extra energy; Earthquake and other seismic activity may take place). There is a bit of a magnetic push from the floor, providing a Magnet Rise effect for any Steel or Electric type Pokemon. All Steel-type moves inflict 1 extra damage (after types factor in), and cost 1 less energy. Steel-type Pokemon have enhanced senses here, and the dodge command has an extra 10 flat percent chance to make the attack miss. Since it is a gym, it is indoors; however, a Sandstorm is being simulated. However, other weather will be simulated when a Pokemon uses the appropriate weather move (if a Pokemon uses Sunny Day, intense sunlight is simulated). These weather effects only last three rounds though, and when that weather wears off, Sandstorm goes back into effect.

The pokemon are high in the sky on a circular wooden platform with a 100ft diameter. No external water source, rocks or grass can be found on this platform. The platform is too thin to dig through as well, but the wood is strong enough to allow seismic moves.

In addition to any items the pokemon may be holding, each pokemon starts the battle equipped with 5 darts. Once per round, a pokemon may throw a dart for 5 energy with the Throw Dart command. This cannot be Encored or Disabled, but can be prevented by Taunt, Torment and Embargo. The thrown dart will pop a randomly-chosen balloon and that balloon will have a specified effect. Here are the balloons along with their chances of being popped and their effects:
  • Normal balloon (25% chance): no effect
  • Tack balloon (10% chance): deals 10 damage to all opponents
  • Spike ball balloon (10% chance): deals 25 damage to the opponent with the highest health*
  • Bomb balloon (10% chance): deals 25 damage to the opponent with the lowest health*
  • Ice balloon (10% chance): freezes the opponent with the highest health* for 1 action
  • Bee balloon (10% chance): does 10 damage per action to the opponent with the highest health* for 3 actions, shifting between pokemon each action if necessary
  • Extra dart balloon (10% chance): gives the pokemon 1 dart
  • Triple dart balloon (5% chance): gives the pokemon 3 darts
  • Boomerang balloon (5% chance): gives the pokemon 1 boomerang and allows them to use the Throw Boomerang command, which works like throwing a dart except it also does 10 damage to the opponent with the highest health* and can be used while taunted but cannot be used if the pokemon is throwing a dart in the same round
  • Lightsaber Balloon (5% chance): pops 2 balloons from this list (if one of those is another lightsaber balloon, reroll for that balloon)
* If it's a tie, choose randomly among the tied pokemon with an equal chance for each.

Arena: 147
Kefka's Tower
Tower_rubble.jpg

Field Type: Dark, Electric, Steel
Complexity: Moderate
Format: All
Traits: Artificial Field, No Digging, No Seismic Attacks, No Water Source

Description:
The portion of the tower shown here is a multi-layered factory-like area. The top section features catwalks and esper-retaining capsules in small alcoves, while the lower section contains several closed-in areas with pipes running between walls. The upper portion of the tower is much wider than the lower areas. The stage features vents of magical steam that explode from walls whenever they detect non-aggression, knocking characters through the air and bouncing them between walls.

Omega Steam - Mons' initial HP counts are doubled. Whenever a mon uses a non-attacking move, the attacker also takes 1 damage. This is subject to increase by Invitation to Destruction.
Invitation to Destruction - All attack BAPs are increased by the sum of the previous rounds' numbers. Example: On Round 4, the damage bonus is (1+2+3) = +6 Damage.
I'm going to ref that as Scizor and Venusaur's hp double, then half at the end round, in addition to other effects.

Earthquake -> Synthesis -> Earthquake

If Scizor is under the effects of a protective/evasive action, use Sunny Day that action, push back and change all instances of Earthquake to Weather Ball, but only once
If damaging Flying type combo and you arent taunted, use Substitute (15) that action and push back

Arena: 22
Arena: Gravi-Dome
Field Type:
Ground
Complexity: Intense
Format: All

Restrictions: No Water Source, No Natural Grass, Limited Ceiling, No Sun, Rain, or Hail

Description: A Circular dome that is 50m in diameter & the roof goes as high as ~20m at its highest. The Indoor nature of this arena means only Sandstorm will work as a weather. Right from the outset, a constant, unalterable Gravity is in effect, which is modified to suit Ground-Types. All Ground Types will receive the positive effects, but do not suffer from the negative effects. That is, their moves get the accuracy boost, but they will not be fully grounded & moves used against them will not receive the accuracy boost (Unless it is a Ground-Type itself using a move against a Ground-Type).

Summary: A Gravity that suits Ground Types... Well... Is that not broken?

Arena: 68
Arena: Mushroom Gorge
Field Type: All Types
Complexity: Intense
Formats: Singles, Doubles

Restrictions: No Water source.

Description:
Mushroom Gorge is the third racetrack of the prestigious Mushroom Cup. Located in the mountains, Mushroom Gorge is home to what appear to be oversized mushrooms that enjoy bouncing prospective racers off the racetrack and into the expansive gorge below. Most of this arena is on the edge of the mountain, but part of it is located inside one of the caves of Mushroom Gorge, which happens to have numerous bouncy mushrooms that battlers and racers alike can have fun bouncing on. In this arena, battlers will fight each other on sturdy karts as they progress through the course in a linear fashion.

Cliffside Rounds
While the karts are over land, which is every round with exceptions noted later, the battling takes place while the karts are traversing the cliffs of the mountainous gorge. Natural grass is abundant in this area, although no water is present. Combat occurring in this part of the course behaves like standard combat for the most part. However, any attack that deals more than twenty-two (22) damage to a target will knock the target out of its kart and into the gorge; this will force the target to be dragged back onto its kart by a Lakitu at the expense of ten (10) Energy and its next action (not applicable on action three). Each Pokemon may only be knocked into the gorge once each round.

Cave Rounds
On rounds three (3), six (6), nine (9), and so on, the karts enter the cave where the multitude of brightly-colored bouncy mushrooms are. There is no water to be found in this cave, but the natural grass is still present, allowing the use of moves that require natural grass without penalties. Furthermore, the large quantities of rocks in this cave gives allows all Rock-type attacking moves to deal two (2) more damage. At the end of each actions, each Pokemon's kart will bounce on a mushroom; the type of mushroom that the kart bounces on is chosen at random according to the following table:

60%: Green Mushroom
30%: Red Mushroom
10%: Blue Mushroom

The Green Mushroom does not affect the match is any way, shape, or form. Bouncing on a Red Mushroom will add a burst of speed to the kart, increasing the Pokemon's speed by fifty (50) percent for the next six actions; moreover, the momentum gained by bouncing on a Red Mushroom will increase the damage dealt by all moves by one (1). However, all moves will suffer a flat 10% drop in accuracy due to the aiming problems while moving at high speeds. Bouncing on a Blue Mushroom will add an even bigger boost of speed than a Red Mushroom, increasing the Pokemon's speed by one hundred and fifty (150) percent for the next three actions; in addition, the momentum that comes from the Blue Mushroom will increase the damage dealt by all contact moves by three (3) and other attacking moves by two (2). All moves will suffer a flat 15% drop in accuracy, however. Bouncing successive times on the same mushroom will reset the decay timer; however, the Red and Blue Mushrooms have different timers, meaning that one Pokemon can be under the effects of both at once.

Summary:
Cliffside Rounds: Standard combat, high-damage moves cause target to get knocked into the gorge.
Cave Rounds: Standard combat, +2 DMG to Rock-type moves, mushroom bouncing effects.
Note: It is round 6, and therefore you will be bouncing on mushrooms next round.
