You have to cooldown after a combination, which means you do nothing, your orders are technically legal but generally you write cooldown (move if combo fails) as your order.
I think since it is a beginner battle you can reorder.

Flavor:
Awesomeandmodest decides to send in Bill Nye the Torchic, while Chinchou sends in Andromedea the Staryu. Andromedea immediately has the type advantage, but Bill Nye could easily get around that with some smart playing. His first move is to block Andromedea's Hydro Pump with a Protect, and he attempts to do more of the same the next action, when she fires off low-powered Bubble Beam. However, she is faster than him, so he Digs underground too late, still taking the full force of her beam. He finally decides to stop his evasive tactics, and takes a Hydro Pump to the face to get off a massive Scratch + Night Slash combo.

Sorry, you are completely right, simply replace that move with Struggle. I am very sorry about this (first match).
As I do not believe I would be knocked out, I will carry on with:
Cooldown~Double Team~Scratch+Night Slash
IF Staryu uses Protective/Evasive move then replace that move with Feint.
If Staryu uses Damaging Evasive move then replace that move with Double Team.

Andromedea swiftly capitalizes on her advantage with swift--see what I did there?!--and KOes Bill Nye!
