ORAS OU (Insert Clever Team Name Here)

I couldn't think of a clever name for the team, hahaha.

This is the first time I've done an RMT, so things might be a little off. Here goes...

Manectric_XY.gif

Manectric @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt

Standard MegaMan set. I chose Overheat, mostly because of Sceptile being somewhat of a threat to my team. It also OHKO's things like Skarmory, Ferrothorn, and Scizor fairly easily. HP Ice catches things like Landorus, Garchomp, and other ground types off guard as MegaMan is a good Ground-type lure. Thunderbolt is to do good STAB when I know I can outspeed and revenge kill. Volt Switch is essentially the core of this team, it allows for an amazing pivot move, and helps keep momentum high. The hit-and-run combination that it allows with Rotom-W and Landorus-T make this an extremely versatile mon to run on the team.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 4 SpA / 76 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp

Rotom-W was chosen because MegaMan has a weak spot for Ground-types. Rotom was my solution to that, with access to both Hydro Pump and Volt Switch, it counters most EQ users, Rock-types, Fire-types, and Volt Switch can catch Water-types off guard on a pivot turn. Pain Split is an amazing force switch move when Rotom gets low on health, especially when going against a Celebi, Sceptile, or Venusaur. Will-O-Wisp is by far one of the best moves in Rotom's movepool, it can surprise switch-ins by burning them and potentially ruining an opponents sweeper/counter/revenge killer. The EV spread was chosen, because it allows Rotom to handle most unboosted attacks from both sides of offense, making him an excellent switch-in if another bulky Poke ends up getting KO'd.

ferrothorn.gif

Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Def
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed

Ferrothorn was chosen because it has amazing physical bulk. It has enough to stand in and take a STAB EQ from Garchomp. I went with Power Whip to mostly cover Azumarill. If caught off guard while setting up, it can deal some serious damage to CM Keldeo as well. Gyro Ball to keep most fairy types in check as well. Ferrothorn can easily setup Stealth Rocks and Leech Seed on physical attackers. With Rocky Helmet + Iron Barbs + Leech Seed, it can often take down a Life Orbed Scizor in two turns without attacking. It is definitely a good benefit on this team.

Volcarona @ Leftovers
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Calm Nature
- Fiery Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Quiver Dance
- Roost

I chose this creature to help cover my weakness to Grass and Ice types. It's also an excellent counter for Bisharp, ensuring a forced switch to set up. Being prone to Stealth Rocks, I decided to try the Bulky route to give my team some more special bulk. It can put in some serious work if given the chance to set Quiver Dance up once or twice, as well as being able to withstand STAB Special Water moves. Roost was chosen for the purpose of Stealth Rocks negation. Volcarona has enough speed with its EVs to outspeed and setup on most special attacking Pokemon like Espeon, Goodra, and Sylveon.

645-therian.gif

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Superpower

Seeing as how I only have one physical attacker, I figured an EQ immune poke that could benefit my MegaManRotom Core would help the team out. I haven't been wrong. Knock Off allows me to keep Chansey at check, as well as Latias/Latios. Superpower was chosen to make Steel-Type switch-ins at bay as well. It also helps check Bisharp and Ferrothorn. U-Turn was chosen because it's a perfect thing to keep my momentum going. Using Choice Scarf, it allows Lando-T to outspeed most Choice Scarfers that you see. It makes for an excellent revenge killer.

latios.gif

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Hidden Power [Fire]

With Volcarona being prone to Stealth Rocks, I needed a Defogger. Latios was chosen, because it's quick, and has good offensive capabilities with Draco Meteor STAB. HP Fire over Roost allows me to keep control of the field a little bit better by limiting Bug, Steel, and Grass types from switching in. I sort of like to play Latios like a revenge killer. It outspeeds most non Choice Scarf users and can OHKO most things with Draco Meteor.

Thanks guys. :3

I think the length is alright but you might want to add some images. On a different note, your team has nothing for stall. Try replacing something with a cleric like Chansey or a stallbreaker like Mew or Kyurem Black. I can't think of what exactly to replace because I'm not sure what the weakest link on your team is. Volcarona takes a lot of support to work well in the OU meta so you might consider replacing it with another setup sweeper or hard hitter. Like you said, you do have an Ice weakness without it so consider something that resists Ice like Mega Metagross or has decent. Another thing I think might suit this slot is Calm Mind Keldeo. Between Water STAB and Secret Sword it hits almost everything hard. You can either run Sub or Hidden Power Flying in the last move slot. Sub protects from status and HP Flying helps beat grass types like Mega Venusaur and Amoonguss. Finally, I'd consider using Dragon Dance Mega Tyranitar in this spot. I think the Rock and Dark coverage could really help your team and it has great bulk especially with the Special Defense boost that Rock types get in sandstorm. Hope I helped.

Yeah, I still have editing to do here. Haha.
To be honest, if I could find a suitable Lando-T Replacement as a Scarfer, I think this team might be set as far as covering weaknesses. I tested out a Gengar, it was too frail though and was easily beaten. Surprisingly, Volcarona is one of the strongest players in this team, if it's able to set up that is. I've been able to successfully switch in on a Rotom-W and set up while tanking Hydro Pump. I was even able to set up on a Mega Blastoide with Volcarona. I -do- have a lot of options to consider over Volcarona, however eliminating it essentially takes away the special bulk I have in my team. I considered a D. Dance Ttar set as well, it would give me another fighting weakness alongside Ferrothorn.

Seeing as how this is my first competitive team on Smogon, I can only seem to hover around the 1200-1300s with it. I do agree with you on needing another wall or two, so I'm actually considering CM Magic Guard Clefable over Volcarona to see how that would work out.

I discovered last night that I have a problem with handling Mega Zard X as well. I was thinking I need to sub Ferrothorn out for another heavily defensive poke, especially when a surprise Magnezone can be a pain in the ass. Heatran is everywhere as well.
