[OVERVIEW]

Fighting
========

* Keldeo is a necessity on Fighting-type teams because it is one of the few special wallbreakers that the type has access to.
* Its good base Speed stat of 108 allows it to outspeed the coveted base 100 tier as well as threats such as Landorus.
* Its ability to handle physical walls such as Skarmory and Doublade that would stop most of the physical attackers on Fighting teams is extremely valuable.
* Keldeo also has a powerful STAB combination and essentially is a mixed attacker because of Secret Sword, which targets the opposing Pokemon's Defense.
* Keldeo's respectable bulk enables it to survive Choice Scarf Victini's Bolt Strike at full health, and its good defensive typing helps it handle Mega Scizor.
* However, Keldeo has a very shallow movepool, and its STAB moves have many switch-ins such as Latios and Slowbro.
* Its speed tier falls short of important threats such as Latios, Latias, and Thundurus.
* Keldeo will also find itself wanting both Hydro Pump and Icy Wind and must choose between extra coverage or a stronger Water-type STAB move.

Moves
========

* Scald is a safe, relatively strong move in general, and has a decent chance to burn and cripple Keldeo's switch-ins, such as Zapdos.
* Secret Sword allows Keldeo to hit special walls such as Chansey for much more damage than Keldeo's other moves would do.
* Be careful when using it, though, because there are many physically defensive walls that resist Fighting or can switch into a Secret Sword such as Slowbro and Skarmory.
* Hidden Power Electric is needed to hit would-be counters Slowbro, Toxapex, and Mantine.
* Icy Wind hits Dragon-types such as Latios and Dragonite that could otherwise switch into Keldeo's other attacks, as well as having the added benefit of lowering the Speed of an opposing Pokemon.
* Hydro Pump is an extremely strong alternative that is able to break through most specially defensive walls that do not resist Water, such as Zapdos.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Special Attack investment is used so that Keldeo can maximize its damage output.
* Maximum Speed EVs and a Timid nature allow Keldeo to outspeed threats such as Mega Charizard Y and Landorus, as well as Speed tying with and other opposing Keldeo.
* 4 Special Defense EVs prevent Download users from getting a boost to their Special Attack.
* Choice Specs allows Keldeo to break through most of the walls in the metagame, such as Zapdos and Mew after Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

* Keldeo should be brought in as often as possible to wear down or threaten out physically defensive Pokemon that wall the majority of Fighting-type teams, such as Skarmory.
* Scald is a safe move to use in general because of its chance to inflict a burn on Pokemon attempting to switch into Keldeo.
* Although Hydro Pump is an incredibly powerful wallbreaking move, be careful when using it because of its low PP and shaky accuracy.
* Spreading burns and weakening Keldeo's checks with Hydro Pump early-game can allow Keldeo to sweep late-game.
* Keldeo forces a lot of switches, so you can capitalize on this by double switching to a Pokemon that handles what your opponent attempted to switch into Keldeo.
* Preserving Keldeo's health is incredibly important, not only because it allows Keldeo to wallbreak throughout the battle, but also because its good defensive typing allows it to function as an offensive check to Pokemon such as Mega Scizor and Kingdra.
*Keldeo's coverage moves deal significant damage to their targets such as Slowbro and Mantine, but they are weak otherwise. Because of this, Keldeo should avoid locking itself into one of its coverage moves because otherwise opposing Pokemon such as Double Dance Landorus-T can set up on it.

Team Options
========
* Almost all Fighting-type Pokemon work well with Keldeo because of its incredible ability to break through physically defensive walls.
* Choice Scarf Heracross and Terrakion are an excellent teammates for Keldeo, as the former can deal with bulky Psychic-types such as Slowbro and the latter with Flying-types like Mantine. They also can revenge kill or threaten out Pokemon that outspeed Keldeo. In return, Keldeo easily deals with Doublade and Skarmory, which otherwise can easily switch into Heracross and Terrakion.
* Keldeo greatly benefits from Stealth Rock support to break Sturdy on Skarmory and Focus Sash on Pokemon such as Breloom. Infernape is the more offensive of the two options, and it is able to check and Grass-types, notably Celebi, as well as relieve pressure off Keldeo by providing another check to Mega Scizor. Cobalion is the other option and is much bulkier, can safely bring Keldeo in with Volt Switch, and can cripple threats such as Latios with Thunder Wave as well as switch into Latios's Psyshock.
* Kommo-o and Breloom also appreciate Keldeo's ability to break down physically defensive walls. In return, Kommo-o can wall and set up on one of Keldeo's counters, Mega Venusaur, and Breloom can beat most Water-type Pokemon that could try to switch into Keldeo. Keldeo also resists Fire and Ice, allowing it to switch into some of Breloom's checks, such as Torkoal.
* Hawlucha is a a teammate that can deal with Grass-types, specifically Mega Venusaur, and in return Keldeo handles the Pokemon that wall Hawlucha such as Doublade, allowing Hawlucha to sweep with Swords Dance and Unburden.

Other Options
=============

Fighting
--------
* Keldeo can use a Choice Scarf instead of Choice Specs, but Fighting teams generally need the power from Choice Specs as well as having a multitude of better Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion and Heracross.
* It can also use a Life Orb instead so Keldeo can freely switch moves and possibly use Taunt, but the recoil wears down Keldeo quickly, and it is also noticeably weaker.

Checks and Counters
===================

Fighting
--------
**Mega Venusaur**: Mega Venusaur resists both of Keldeo's STAB types and threatens to KO it with Giga Drain.

**Toxapex**: Toxapex resists both of Keldeo's STAB types and can fish for burns with Scald while recovering off any damage Keldeo would do to it.

**Water-immune Pokemon**: Pokemon with the ability Storm Drain or Water Absorb such as Gastrodon, Jellicent, and Mantine can usually switch safely into Keldeo, but Mantine fears the 2HKO from Hidden Power Electric.

**Bulky Water-types**: Slowbro and Tapu Fini both resist Keldeo's STABs and the latter can't be burned by Scald because of Misty Surge, but neither likes being hit by Hidden Power Electric.

**Bulky Psychic-types**: Bulky Psychic-types such as Celebi, Latios, and Latias are able to switch into Keldeo easily and force it to switch.

**Fairy-Types**: Fairy-types such as Tapu Bulu and Clefable can switch into Keldeo, but the former doesn't want switch into Scald because of the chance to burn, and Clefable cannot switch into Hydro Pump.

**Revenge Killers**: Choice Band Dragonite, naturally faster Pokemon such as Gengar, and Choice Scarf users such as Excadrill can all KO Keldeo with some previous damage.

If you want water-types that switch in, you can go with Gastrodon, Alomomola (2 turns of lefties because of protect gives it a mere 5% chance of hp electric 2hkoing), and Rotom-W work since your only set lacks Focus Blast

[Overview]
≈ I wouldn't really use Mega Pinsir as an example of what it can outspeed. Keldeo is still fearing a Aerilate Quick Attack from it or even after a Swords Dance.

[SET COMMENTS]
≈ Mention that Icy Wind can lower the opposing Pokemon's Speed stat too. Can be useful support for Keldeo and its teammates if they need to outspeed as well.

[Set Details]
≈ Add that 4 SpD prevents Porygon-Z and Porygon2 from ever getting a Download boost in Special Attack because both of its defensive stats are the same.

[Usage Tips]
≈ I'd talk about how useful it is to get Scald burns, not only crippling switch-ins but it's also great against physical attackers and hard hitters towards Keldeo and its team.
≈ Keldeo is a fast and powerful wallbreaker so keeping it away from paralysis and other status moves. Can really hurt its usefulness to the team.
≈ "Keldeo should be brought in as often as possible to wear down or threaten out physically defensive Pokemon that wall the majority of Fighting-type teams."
^ Give an example of a couple that Keldeo should be brought in to threaten out, even things that hardly pose a threat to it. Keldeo doesn't want to switch into physical walls too often.

[Team Options]
≈ Mention how useful Infernape is in taking on Grass-types that Keldeo would struggle against. I mean...Icy Wind isn't going to be enough to take them on, especially when locked into Specs.
≈ Add that Cobalion's Volt Switch can bring Keldeo in safely, offers good momentum.
≈ I would want to add Hawlucha too, also great for checking Grass-types, especially the likes of Mega Venusaur thanks to its Flying typing and can come into any Ground-type attacks. It's also a good sweeper with Swords Dance + Unburden once Keldeo helps remove Hawlucha's threats.

[Other Options]
≈ Life Orb can be added as a way for Keldeo to freely use its attacking moves over being locked by Choice Specs. But the item wears down Keldeo quicker after each attack and its attacks deal less damage compared to Choice Specs.

[Checks and Counters]
≈ Revenge Killers (or Faster Pokemon your choice)
  • Examples like Choice Scarf, those that enjoy weather or terrain support (Alolan Raichu), just those than can automatically outspeed it (Mega Alakazam)

Overall, well done!

Moves:
- Give an example or 2 of what switch-in would be really good to burn with Scald.

Usage Tips:
- When you're talking about Scald, most physical attackers don't switch into Keldeo for fear of that burn.
- Definitely need to change this next line. You would never use Secret Sword, Hidden Power Electric, or Icy Wind in a matchup with Volcarona. Scald beats both Fire and Bug.
You could do something like Double Dance Landorus-T, which can take advantage of Hidden Power Electric aimed at Mantine.

*Keldeo's coverage moves deal significant damage to their targets such as Slowbro and Mantine, but are weak on their own. Because of this, Keldeo should avoid locking itself into one of its coverage moves because opposing pokemon such as Volcarona can set up on a Keldeo that is locked into Hidden Power Electric or Icy Wind. (This needs restructuring)

- Tack on something about how it's wallbreaks,
* Although Hydro Pump is incredibly powerful, be careful when using it because of its low PP and shaky accuracy.
- I think there should be something about spreading burns with Scald / weakening checks with Hydro Pump early-game and then using Keldeo late-game to clean. You can sort of borrow the above comment too.

- Add something about using Secret Sword and being careful of giving physical walls free switches.
- 1 line about what are expected scenarios for getting Keldeo in.
- Something about Keldeo forcing switches, which you can use by double switching.
- Remove the status line or tie it into how Keldeo should approach walls.

Team Options:
- Keldeo beats Mega Scizor anyway, so you don't need to mention that Infernape does unless you tie it into relieving pressure off of Keldeo.

Other Options:
- Note that Keldeo using Choice Scarf opens up Terrakion to use a Double Dance set.
- SubCM is even less viable than it was last gen. Remove it because you literally cannot use it anymore. Toxapex, Mantine, etc. Way too many perfect counters.

Checks and Counters:
Need to reorder this and rework this:
  • Mega Venusaur
  • Toxapex
  • Water-immune Pokemon (Gastrodon, Jellicent, Mantine)
  • Bulky Water-types (Tapu Fini, Slowbro)
  • Bulky Psychic-types (+Latios)
  • Fairy-types (+Clefable, -Tapu Fini)
  • Revenge Killers
It's fine in content I think.

Nice work. QC 2/3

* Keldeo is a necessity on Fighting-type teams because it is one of the few special wallbreakers that the type has access to.
* Keldeo also has a Its good base Speed stat of 108 (RC) this allows it to outspeed the coveted speed tier of base 100 tier as well as threats such as Landorus.
* Keldeo's Its ability to handle physical walls such as Skarmory and Doublade that would stop most of the physical attackers on Fighting teams is extremely valuable.
* Keldeo also has a powerful STAB combination as well as and essentially being is a mixed attacker because of Secret Sword, which targets the opposing Pokemon's Defense.
* Keldeo's also has respectable bulk (RC) being able enables it to live survive Choice Scarf Victini's Bolt Strike at full health, as well as and its good defensive typing that (repetitive sentence structure) helps it handle Mega Scizor.
* However, Keldeo has a very predictable shallow movepool, and its STAB moves have many switchins switch-ins such as Latios and Slowbro.
* Keldeo's Its Speed tier falls short of important threats such as Latios, Latias, and Thundurus.
* Keldeo will also find itself wanting both Hydro Pump and Icy Wind (RC) and must choose between extra coverage or a stronger Water-type STAB move.

Moves
========

* Scald is a safe, relatively strong move in general, and it has a decent chance to burn and cripple its Keldeo's switchins switch-ins, for example such as Zapdos.
* Secret Sword allows Keldeo to hit special walls such as Chansey for much more damage than Keldeo's other moves would do.
* Be careful when using it, (AC) though, because there are many physically defensive walls that resist Fighting or can switch into a Secret Sword such as Slowbro and Skarmory.
* Hidden Power Electric is needed to hit would-be counters (RC) Slowbro, Toxapex, (AC) and Mantine.
* Icy Wind hits Dragon-types such as Latios and Dragonite that could otherwise switch into Keldeo's other attacks, as well as having the added benefit of lowering the Speed of an opposing Pokemon.
* Hydro Pump is an extremely strong alternative (RC) that is able to break through most specially defensive walls that do not resist Water, such as Zapdos.

Set Details
========

* Maximum Special Attack investment is used so that Keldeo can maximize its damage output.
* Maximum Speed EVs and a Timid nature are used so allow Keldeo can to outspeed threats such as Mega Charizard Y and Landorus, as well as Speed tying with and other opposing Keldeo.
* 4 Special Defense EVs prevent Download users from getting a boost to their Special Attack.
* Choice Specs allows Keldeo to break through most of the walls in the metagame, such as Zapdos and Mew after Stealth Rock damage.

Usage Tips
========

* Spreading burns and weakening Keldeo's checks with Hydro Pump early-game (AH) can allow Keldeo to sweep late-game. (AH)
* Keldeo forces a lot of switches, so you can capitalize on this by double switching to a Pokemon that handles what your opponent attempted to switch into Keldeo.
* Preserving Keldeo's health is incredibly important, (AC) not only because it allows Keldeo to wallbreak throughout the battle, but also because its good defensive typing allows it to function as an offensive check to Pokemon such as Mega Scizor and Kingdra.
*Keldeo's coverage moves deal significant damage to their targets such as Slowbro and Mantine, but they are weak on their own otherwise. Because of this, Keldeo should avoid locking itself into one of its coverage moves because otherwise opposing Pokemon such as Double Dance Landorus-T can set up on a Keldeo that is locked into Hidden Power Electric it.

Team Options
========
* Almost all Fighting-type Pokemon work well with Keldeo because of its incredible ability to break through physically defensive walls.
* Choice Scarf Heracross and Terrakion are an excellent teammates for Keldeo, (AC) as the former can deal with bulky Psychic-types such as Slowbro and the latter with Flying-types like Mantine.
Infernape is the more offensive of the two options, and it is able to check and Grass-types, notably Celebi, as well as relieve pressure off of Keldeo by checking providing another check to Mega Scizor.

=============

Fighting
--------
* Keldeo can use a Choice Scarf instead of Choice Specs, but Fighting teams generally need the power from Choice Specs as well as having a multitude of better Choice Scarf users such as Terrakion and Heracross.
* It can also use a Life Orb instead so Keldeo can freely switch moves and possibly use Taunt, but the recoil wears down Keldeo quickly, and it is also noticeably weaker.

Checks and Counters
===================

Fighting
--------
**Mega Venusaur**: Mega Venusaur resists both of Keldeo's STAB types and threatens to KO it with Giga Drain.

**Toxapex**: Toxapex resists both of Keldeo's STAB types and can fish for burns with Scald while recovering off any damage Keldeo would do to it.

**Water-immune Pokemon**: Pokemon with the abilities ability Storm Drain or Water Absorb such as Gastrodon, Jellicent, and Mantine can usually switch safely into Keldeo, but Mantine fears the 2HKO from Hidden Power Electric.

**Bulky Water-types**: Slowbro and Tapu Fini both resist Keldeo's STABs and the latter can't be burned by Scald because of Misty Surge, but neither likelikes being hit by Hidden Power Electric.
