[QC 3/3] -- Fireburn / Sweep / WreckDra
[GP 2/2] -- Rhythms + P Squared / antemortem

[Overview]

Klefki has a great typing and decent bulk that allows it to check a variety of threats in Ubers, such as Xerneas, Darkrai, Yveltal, Latias, and Latios. Its ability Prankster is exceptional in conjunction with Thunder Wave, letting Klefki act as a safety net to check fast sweepers and attackers, such as Geomancy Xerneas, Mega Salamence, and Mewtwo; its ability to check a wide range of Pokemon makes it a good choice for role compression in teambuilding. Klefki also has access to Toxic, which can pressure Defog users and wear down Primal Groudon, and Spikes, which it can set up reliably because it has Toxic to put a timer on Defog users and can check many common Pokemon. Unfortunately, Primal Groudon's overbearing presence in the metagame greatly hinders Klefki's ability to function, as its immunity to Thunder Wave deters Klefki from freely using the move; Ho-Oh's presence is also a problem, as it can switch in easily and hit Klefki and its teammates hard while possibly spreading burns as well. Klefki also has exploitable weaknesses to common Ground- and Fire-type coverage moves, and it lacks reliable recovery, so it can be worn down throughout the match.

Moves
========

Spikes is an important asset for Klefki, as it punishes opposing switches and wears down bulky Pokemon for Klefki's teammates. Thunder Wave checks and cripples fast threats such as Xerneas and Mega Salamence. Play Rough deals respectable damage against some Dark- and Dragon-types while circumventing Taunt; it also breaks Xerneas's Substitutes so that Xerneas can be paralyzed. Toxic annoys Primal Groudon, Kyogre, Ho-Oh, almost all Arceus formes, Giratina-O, Latias, and Latios.

Set Details
========

248 HP EVs maximize mixed bulk while maintaining an odd HP value to ensure that Klefki takes less damage from entry hazards and status. 252 Special Defense EVs and a Careful nature best take on special attackers, such as Xerneas, Yveltal, and various Arceus formes. 8 Attack EVs provide a minimal amount of additional power, though it can have a slight effect against certain bulky Substitute Geomancy Xerneas sets. Leftovers provides residual healing and is the only means of recovery that Klefki has access to.

Usage Tips
========

It is important to preserve Klefki if the opponent has a potentially threatening sweeper in reserve, as letting Klefki take too much damage early-game could make it unable to paralyze a potential sweeper. Use Klefki's many resistances to switch in on Pokemon that it checks, such as Xerneas, Yveltal, Latias, and Latios; the resulting free turn should be used to set Spikes up or Toxic an incoming Primal Groudon. If Klefki is not too important in a given matchup, it may be effective to sacrifice Klefki, or much of its HP, to get off a crippling Thunder Wave on a potential threat.

Team Options
========

Primal Groudon is a good partner for Klefki, as it sets Stealth Rock and also blanket checks a wide range of Pokemon, such as Kyogre, Steel-types, and Xerneas, the last of which is collaboratively checked by the pairing of Primal Groudon and Klefki. Latias and Latios both check Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre for Klefki while also benefiting from Klefki's Spikes, especially if they are Calm Mind variants. In general, offensive Pokemon that enjoy Spikes support and can prevent Defog through offensive pressure, such as Swords Dance Arceus, Xerneas, Mewtwo, Primal Groudon, Darkrai, and Mega Salamence, make for good teammates.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Klefki can use Flash Cannon instead of Play Rough, which allows it to hit Mega Diancie 4x super effectively while still dealing respectable damage to Xerneas. Foul Play can also be used, as it is Klefki's only way to deal respectable damage to Primal Groudon and Ho-Oh with an attack. Klefki has access to both Reflect and Light Screen as support moves, and it can set up one or both of these to ease setup for teammates or to temporarily increase its own longevity. Heal Block prevents Arceus formes, Latias, and Latios from using Recover or Roost. Finally, Magnet Rise gives Klefki an immunity to Ground, which makes it a more effective check to Ground-type coverage users like Mega Salamence and Rayquaza.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ground-types**: Ground-types are the best checks to Klefki, as they are immune to Thunder Wave, do not take much from Play Rough, and are able to threaten Klefki with a super effective STAB move. Primal Groudon is the best of these, as it is resistant to Play Rough and can switch in and set Stealth Rock or target Klefki with either of its STAB moves; however, it can be worn down by Spikes and Toxic. Ground Arceus also switches in easily, and it can proceed to set up with Swords Dance or Calm Mind, Recover off any damage, or hit Klefki with Earthquake or Judgment while only fearing Toxic in return. Excadrill is a very good counter, as it is immune to both Thunder Wave and Toxic and can retaliate with Earthquake or use Rapid Spin to clear Spikes. Landorus-T and Gliscor both can switch in and set Stealth Rock, though the former dislikes Toxic.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types work similarly to Ground-types in that they can switch in and threaten Klefki with a STAB move. Ho-Oh is a Fire-type counter that is immune to Spikes and can force Klefki out while spreading burns with Sacred Fire, though it doesn't appreciate either status move Klefki has.

**Magic Bounce**: Mega Diancie and Mega Sableye bounce back Spikes and status with Magic Bounce. The former can beat Klefki with Earth Power or simply hit it repeatedly while only fearing the rare Flash Cannon, while the latter is not 2HKOed by Play Rough and can use Recover to stay healthy while slowly hurting Klefki with burn damage from Will-O-Wisp.

**Steel-types**: By virtue of typing, Steel-types are good checks to Klefki because they are immune to Klefki's main way of dealing damage, which is Toxic. Dialga can set up Stealth Rock against Klefki and also hit it with a super effective Fire Blast. Mega Scizor can wear down Klefki with repeated hits or set up with Swords Dance. Ferrothorn can set up Stealth Rock or Spikes and can slowly drain Klefki's HP with Leech Seed.

**Mega Gengar**: Mega Gengar traps Klefki and can remove it so that another teammate can sweep, though it dislikes Thunder Wave and Klefki is able to set multiple layers of Spikes before it is KOed by Mega Gengar.

**Kyogre**: Kyogre can beat Klefki by switching in and threatening it with a powerful rain-boosted STAB Origin Pulse or Scald; however, it doesn't enjoy being hit by Thunder Wave or Toxic, and it can be worn down by Spikes if it lacks Rest.

hmm maybe mention p don + klefki provides balance with two xerneas checks and therefore has it covered between them?

Primal Groudon is really bad for this, Klefki cannot spam Thunder Wave freely with it around which prevents it from paralyzing stuff like Mewtwo early to mid-game unless you want to risk giving P Donner a free switchin. I know you mention don and ho-oh in the intro but yea, it is REALLY annoying
