ORAS OU Le' V-Bleye - Victini+Sable Team

Hi guys, the other day i decided to build a victini+bleye team because i saw the core on the forums when i didn't know what to build and i thought "hey this is a great core, let's try it" so i did this team. Let's have a Preview and then i'll start with the Teambuilding Process.

sableye.png
: Well, as i said, i decided to try this core because i saw it on the forums, Sableye is a pretty solid pokemon, and Victini StallBreaker (taunt+wisp) set is amazing. I have victini spdef over than def because he can cover most of the fairy types that break sableye, he only loses to azumarril and diancie, and azuma switches in, and you predict it you can willo him.

clefable.png
: So, this core obviously needed a cleric, for the t-waves to victini, or some status to victini like scald or wisping mew, etc, also unaware is pretty good for the set up sweepers. Clefable it's a pretty solid pokemon and i just needed a cleric and adding the unaware to the team it's nice.
ferrothorn.png
: I needed a rocker and i added ferro because it adds fairy+steel, fire+grass and it covers diancie that was a big threat for my team, rain dance manaphy and azumarril as the most important things.

keldeo-resolute.png
: At this point, bisharp was a huuge threat so i added keldeo specs, that is a pretty good wallbreaker and it finishes FWG core with ferro and victini, having a wallbreaker like this and a victini with a stallbreaker set, are very good vs stall.

salamence.png
: I needed a defoger and dragon type was the best option because of fairy+steel+drag and i discovered that salamence could be really good, it has a very good coverage vs most of the rockers, he gets fb for ferro, hydro pump for landorus and he takes only 36% to a stone edge of landorus while he does 56% with hydro to lando, and a similar dmg to ferrothorn, he also has access to recovery, pretty nice and different defoger.

Under the Microscope

victini.png

Victini @
leftovers.png

Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 240 HP / 112 Atk / 120 SpD / 36 Spe
Adamant Nature
Bolt Strike
V-Create
Taunt
Will-O-Wisp

This victini set is great. It's a great stallbreaker and it covers sableye so well. V-Create is there for dmg and stab, Bolt Strike for coverage for pokes like Azumarril predicting switch in, taunt and wisp for stall breaking and for letting physical offensive mons in a bad position. It's one of the best coverages for Sableye because of fairy types, some calcs.
232 SpA Pixilate Mega Gardevoir Hyper Voice vs. 240 HP / 120 SpD Victini: 100-118 (24.9 - 29.4%) -- 0.3% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Mega Charizard Y Fire Blast vs. 240 HP / 120 SpD Victini in Sun: 139-164 (34.6 - 40.8%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Mega Charizard Y Fire Blast vs. 240 HP / 120 SpD Victini in Sun: 139-164 (34.6 - 40.8%) -- 58.9% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
240 Atk Pure Power Mega Medicham High Jump Kick vs. 240 HP / 0 Def Victini: 174-206 (43.3 - 51.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Volcarona Bug Buzz vs. 240 HP / 120 SpD Victini: 135-159 (33.6 - 39.6%) -- 17.3% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Bug Buzz vs. 240 HP / 120 SpD Victini: 202-238 (50.3 - 59.3%) -- 79.3% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

112+ Atk Victini V-create vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Clefable: 210-247 (53.4 - 62.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
112+ Atk Victini V-create vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Sableye: 147-174 (48.3 - 57.2%) -- 91.8% chance to 2HKO
112+ Atk Victini V-create vs. 252 HP / 112 Def Mega Sableye: 178-211 (58.5 - 69.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
112+ Atk Victini V-create vs. 0 HP / 24 Def Gardevoir: 325-384 (117.3 - 138.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
112+ Atk Victini Bolt Strike vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Charizard Y: 282-332 (94.9 - 111.7%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

sableye-mega.png

Sableye (Sableye-Mega) @
sablenite.png

Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 112 Def / 144 SpD
Careful Nature
Knock Off
Will-O-Wisp
Recover
Foul Play

So, sableye was the other one in the core. He can bounce rocks so victini doesn't get 25%, bounce status, knock items, wisp and foul play a zard x with a dd. The evs are pretty standard, just for beeing a mixed wall, i don't know how to explain it, recover for recovery, foul play for boosted mons (mostly zard x), knock off for knocking items and willo for get physical offensive mons on a bad position.

clefable.png

Clefable @
leftovers.png

Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
Moonblast
Heal Bell
Wish
Protect

Clefable it's the cleric of the team. Heal Bell it's nice for Victini if he enters against clefable and you throw v-create (2hko) and he t-waves tini. You'll have another free v-create and then u can remove the para with clefa, also he has wish protect for recovery and for passing wishes to all the team, moonblast for involving some dmg with the stab.

ferrothorn.png

Ferrothorn @
leftovers.png

Ability: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
Relaxed Nature
Stealth Rock
Leech Seed
Gyro Ball
Power Whip

So ferro covers diancie, azumarril and manaphy as the most important things, i really needed a mon like this, that has a really good def and i can put some evs in spdef so i get a really nice mixed wall with a typing that i really needed for my team, and stealth rocks. Leech Seed for having some recovery and for having some additional dmg, gyro ball and power whip are STAB and are very good vs clefable , manaphy, azuma, diancie, etc. Pretty solid poke that fit'd in so well in my team.

keldeo-resolute.png

Keldeo (Keldeo-Resolute) @
choicespecs.png

Ability: Justified
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
Scald
Secret Sword
Hydro Pump
Icy Wind

Typical Keldeo set. Breaks a lot of walls, it finished my FWG Core and walled bisharp, so it was the best option for the team. Secret Sword and Hydro Pump for stab with a lot of power, scald for the 100% accuracy and Icy Wind for latios predict switch in for example, he loses speed so u can ko and be faster forcing a switch. Beast as a WallBreaker.

373.png

Salamence @
leftovers.png

Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 248 HP / 180 Def / 80 Spe
Timid Nature
Defog
Fire Blast
Hydro Pump
Roost

Salamence is a strange defoger, but he is actually pretty good! He has coverage for the most common rockers, like ferrothorn or landorus, also he has intimidate and a pretty good defense. He gets 36% aprox of a lando stone edge and takes 56% off with hydro pump, the same with ferrothorn. Also he has access to recovery. Pretty nice mon that is not used a lot. (He also completes dragsteelfairy)

The Threat List
barras-separadoras-animadas-36.gif
barras-separadoras-animadas-36.gif

manectric.gif
:Manectric and fast electric types in general are a threat for this team, this is the one who does annoy me most, cuz almost nobody uses jolteon and rotom-w it's not that powerful. My check is Victini SPDef who get's the kill with one v-create and having rocks forcing switches it pretty good. Also if you go victini in an overheat is way better.

tornadus-therian.gif
: Only with LO and if my mega sable it's not evolved yet, then, with rocks sett'd up and burning with sable if he has superpower ferro walls it, if not, victini resists one hit and can revenge kill it or force a switch into a powerful v-create.

hoopa-mega.png
: When M-Sable is evolved he doesn't do a lot but it can be dangerous if he has gunk shot for clef, scouting with protect can be pretty nice, or switching to clef in a dark pulse then double switch into sable and have the mega with recover there. Hoopa-U it's always dangerous but if you play well you can kill him. Also Keldeo can kill him with hydro pump.

There are probably way more threats but as Showdown has beeing off all the time i couldn't ladd a lot, i was 19-3 and then i got haxed some times but hey, it's the game we play xD.

If u have more threats please tell me so i can add it and make a more complete RMT :)

Hello, how ya feelin' today? First off, there was a decline of Conkeldurr, but Guts Conkeldurr is a problem. Keldeo has a guaranteed 3HKO with Hydro Pump, Clefable has a guaranteed 3HKO with Moonblast on Conkeldurr, and with a burn, Conkeldurr has a guaranteed 2HKO on Clefable with Poison Jab, a necessary piece to this team. Guts Conk also hold Ice Punch which with a burn, has a possibility to OHKO Salamence after Rocks. I myself am not the best battler, but I build great teams that wins local tournaments (I have my friend ditto play for me and he is the best battler I have ever seen, we place first every year for the past three years) and sometimes I see the unseen flaws a team has. However, the weakness only exists if Conkeldurr is still holding his Assault Vest. Therefore, if you see Conkeldurr on a team, make it a priority to knock off his item and DON'T BURN HIM! you're great at making teams because other than Conkeldurr, I don't have problems. Wait, I just realized that you don't have a phazer, and CM Slobro could hold a threat as well. Taunt Victini is great, but no one just likes taking SE moves. Hope I helped and let me know how it goes alright? Great team if I didn't tell you already.

He can just leech seed with ferro, and then switch to clefable who is unaware, not magic guard, when dealing with slowbro (:
Assault vest conq isn't actually that much of an issue either, as its most powerful option, stone edge, can't 2HKO on the switch in, meaning you can PP stall it out.

252+ Atk Conkeldurr Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 112 Def Mega Sableye: 96-113 (31.5 - 37.1%) -- 82.7% chance to 3HKO
Even with rocks up it can't 2HKO.

Umm, are you sure about that? I think you forgot to add the guts boost because what I get is 252+ Atk Conkeldurr Stone Edge vs 252 Hp/112 Def Mega Sableye 142-168 (46.7-55.2%)--Guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock. I said that as long as Conk isn't burned, he isn't a problem. As for Unaware Clefable, unfortunately it doesn't have Magic Guard so it is prone to those Scald burns and it does get worn down from rocks as well. Residual damage is a problem for anyone and I do believe CM Slowbro carries Fire Blast (mine does at least) so ferrothorn probably won't even get a chance to set up leech seed since it carries gyro ball, making it slower than Slowbro. I said they would be problems if he came across them, but they aren't common and I am sure he can play around them. I just am the guy who says too look out for these kind of threats.

Hey man, nice team you have there. Stallbreaker Victini is a very interesting moveset because Pokemon that switch into Mega Gardevoir are pretty seldom nowadays. Next, I like that you added Keldeo to help with Pokemon Victini struggles against such as Gliscor(Poisoned) and Tyranitar. Finally, some defensively oriented Pokemon that could switch into Keldeo and Victini's counters.

However, I'm not sure if they're the right defensive Pokemon. For example, the biggest threats to your team are flying types. Mega Pinsir eradicates your team at +2, and can set up on Ferrothorn and Clefable. A Leech Seed will be very provocative for your Opponent, but it's not gonna make a difference if Pinsir can just OHKO the majority of your team, thus not taking residual damage turn by turn. Salamence is an iffy switch in because a Return unboosted(-1) 2HKOes after Stealth Rocks. Talonflame is also very annoying because even though you have defensive Salamence, sets such as Bulk Up+Will-O-Wisp will be very annoying to defeat. I know Hydro Pump is a special move, but you have to take the scarce 8 PP into consideration, not to mention that a non invested Hydro Pump not even come close to killing a Specially bulky Talonflame. Both Mega Pinsir and Talonflame are conundrums and they need to be dealt with. The next threat is Charizard X, a Pokemon that your team has zero counterplay for. Charizard X finds many set up opportunities such as vs Ferrothorn and Victini and sweeps your team with both of its stabs. Only Pokemon on your team that can take a hit from Charizard X is Clefable, but even then, Moonblast isn't going to do much to it, while Flare Blitz is still going to deal at least 50% damage.

How to solve this? First thing I'd like to suggest will be Scarf Tyranitar>Clefable. Clefable does provide Heal Bell support but other than that, I don't really see it do much for your team. Mega Gyarados is taken care of by Ferrothorn and Keldeo. Tyranitar can beat Dragonite just like Clefable, and it's just a liability on your team. Tyranitar, on the other hand, can check Mega Pinsir and Talonflame comfortably, OHKOing Talonflame even with +3 Defense, and take a +1 Dragon Claw from Charizard X and retaliate back with a Stone Edge. Overall, Tyranitar should do more for your team than Clefable.

Now, obviously Tyranitar gives you positives, but there might be some drawbacks. The most notable being lacking a Keldeo switch-in. Water+Fighting Stabs beat the majority of your team with your only switch-in being Salamence, which is beaten by Icy Wind. Mega Manectric also is an issue since your only Pokemon that can take a hit on your team are Tyranitar and Victini, and Manectric freely Volt Switches on Victini, making it a huge conundrum. Lastly, Tornadus-Therian is just a massive threat hitting every Pokemon with Hurricane/Superpower to deal some major destruction. My next suggestion will sound unorthodox but it might mitigate these issues: Thunder Wave Latias>Defensive Salamence. Let me try and explain how this helps with the Torn-T issue. T-Wave Latias might help because when playing against another offensive team and you send in your Latias on a good matchup(eg: Keldeo), your opponent's mentality is to switch into their Assault Vest Tornadus-T, take the Draco Meteor, then threatening you out with the Knock Off. However, luring them in, and then crippling it with a Thunder-Wave would allow Victini and Tyranitar to outspeed it and at most 2HKO with their attacks. Latias also has access to Defog, filling in Salamence's role, and is a 100% counter to Mega Manectric.

Last suggestion is a short one, but Life Orb Keldeo>Specs Keldeo. Mega Sableye and Weavile become problematic after replacing Clefable. Rest Talk Keldeo would give you the ability to switch into Dark Spam comfortably and shake off the burn. Furthermore, getting a burn on Sableye would be helpful, and you OHKO Weavile with a Secret Sword.

Other Options: I think Shed Shell Ferrothorn might work because a Diancie+Magnezone core can be problematic. In addition, maybe Hidden Power Steel would work over Dragon Pulse on Latias to cope with the Mega Diancie weakness, just incase you don't like Ferrothorn being the only way to deal with it.
