I last played Pokémon Crystal more than a decade ago. The 20th anniversary and February 2016's Mew giveaway drew me back with a vengeance. Me and anyone else who will listen to me.

TL;DR Several pokemon I received in trade were suspected of being hacked. I removed them from my thread, along with others of improbable excellence from the same source. I kept three event Rayquazas and a Diancie that appeared reliable.

I SR'd them myself. :D Gengar nearly made me lose my mind trying to get a really good one.

I'm not surprised... Those are nearly 1 in 1 billion odds of that happening... Even if you can do one reset every 30 seconds; you'd still be expecting to wait around 800 years before getting one.

I understand the doubt on the event Gengar since it wasn't easy to get at all due to it not being 100% guarantee to have any perfect IVs at all. Metagross and Dragonite wasn't nearly as hard to SR for good ones, I only wish I had gotten Adamant over Jolly for Metagross but I couldn't pass up the IVs on it.

Sadly I don't have video or picture proof for any of the Pokemon I SR'd. With the Rayquaza's I did it on my two 3DS's with 2 games I only had a couple badges in so I didn't mind restarting them to get more Rayquaza's since they were over wifi and not a code like Diancie.

I can fully guatantee none of the Pokemon I trade are altered in any way outside of normal ingame methods from retail cartridges aka SRing/EV training and such. Since a moderator has shown public doubt I won't be trading anything here except maybe silly spitbacks. It's doubtful I will even trade 5/6 IV Pokemon that I breed in my Omega Ruby. I really do not want to get "blacklisted" for things that are legitimately obtained, especially the Gengar. I only recently started trading again since I got a PowerSaves and can easily clone via bank/save state backup. The two 3DS trade glitch is too slow/unstable for me personally. I am too cautious/paranoid, so to speak, about having another person clone my event Pokemon for me as I don't want to lose any of my Pokemon with no way to back up my saves.

I love the Smogon community and how much they're against non-legit Pokemon like I am, but sadly just a little doubt from someone well known and respected around here goes a long way whether they're a moderator or not. All I can say is, I will not trade any form of hacked/edited Pokemon. 95% of the time if I feel like it's hacked or know it is, I release it so I don't get confused later on and trade it off on GTS or Wonder Trade it off before realizing my mistake. Exceptionally cool hacked Pokemon I may hang on to until I can obtain a legit one myself. Example - I recently got a shiny Scizor over Wonder Trade but I quickly realized it was hacked, and now I want to get a shiny Scizor myself because it looks amazing, always had a soft spot for Scyther ever since I played gen 1 and thought a metal-looking Scyther(shiny Scizor) would be awesome to own.

I really do apologize about a moderator showing public doubt on your trade thread. It makes me feel awful because I can imagine what that may do to a trade thread. Again, my deepest apologies for all of this inconvenience.

You can quote me, I don't really have anything to hide. [...] It stinks having the legitimacy of mine or anyone else's Pokemon doubted, but I can understand it with my Gengar. It had so much trade value and I would love to offer it to others for their Pokemon but if it's doubted that much, it loses all trade value. :/

I hope we can look back and laugh about this as well!

From Potion Shop thread wall

Alright, here's what I'm gonna do.

First, I have removed these three pokemon from my trade thread. I have also removed the pokebank event Hidden Ability Regice and Regirock. I will not trade them on to others.

Secondly, I've created a log in my final appendix of this dialogue and private conversations with Satyr that I share with permission. Hopefully I never trade for pokemon of mathematically questionable legitimacy again, but if I do, I'll update this appendix as necessary.

Finally, I will direct any persons interested in the other, less improbable, soft-reset event pokemon that I received in these trades to Appendix Z to determine for themselves the reliability of their source. For my part, I'm inclined to trust Satyr with the benefit of the doubt where the imperfect Galileo Rayquazas and Diancie are concerned (or I wouldn't have even left those up).

Please engage in any further dialogue on this particular trade and these pokemon via Private Message.

I am sorry that this trade cast a shadow on the reliability of my thread and by extension on my own trustworthiness as a legitimate trader. I'll be more vigilant and endeavor to keep / raise the assurance(s) with which other traders can approach my thread.

Removed Pokemon

These pokemon were removed from this thread due to questions of legitimacy posed by other users I respect on Smogon. Where hack-usations included substantial enough insight or mathematical cause to cast the doubt (but not prove) that pokemon were hacked, genned or enhanced, I may have kept one copy for personal use and released all clones. If hacking is demonstrated or proven, I will release all copies of these illegal / illegitimate pokemon.

Welp, as a matter of fact I wouldn't be able to use these codes even if I wanted to, since I'm from Europe where only PAL codes work. I was planning on re-trading these codes to Pokéguy here on Smogon, together with a couple of my Pokémon as a considerably big offer for his old Colosseum Suicune that I like very much. He's looking for them, but since I don't have access to NA codes myself, I basically have to trade for them.

I'll equip the Scyther the right item and I assume you want the Snorunt to evolve into a Froslass, I can evolve it for you as well if you want.
The Scyther will evolve to Scizor once we trade.

Yes, please attach the Metal Coat to Scyther so it will evolve upon receipt. The Snorunt, however, I may want to level up to learn moves first. Can you send a Dawn Stone over without it causing evolution? Or perhaps have one of the other pokemon hold it for her ;-) I will be free at a few times tomorrow and will try and connect with you over PM. Thanks^n.

The only moves she learns as Snorunt that she missed as Froslass are Ice Fang and Crunch, or something - 2 physical moves which wouldn't be ideal on a Timid Froslass anyway. Send her over at her lowest level!
Also, I will probably come online for a bit in an hour and a half.
