MEGA EVOLUTION IN FUTURE GENS SPECULATION

k guys i feel as if there can only be 1 mega per team, and not all megas are ideal for battle, i think the meta might be crowded by megas that nobody uses or it will be crowded by pokemon that are insanely OP in future generation. thats why i think there will be a process where certain megas will eventually turn into regular pokemon throughout the generations.

star evolution

i also predict that they could create a new type of evolution that is a combination of mega evolution and regular evolution, we can call this evolution hybrid "star evolution" for the time being. this hybrid will be the one step in a mega turning into a regular pokemon. a pokemon can become a star evolution from a mega after the mega was released for at least 1 generation. star evolution will be slightly nerfed or changed versions of megas, but in return can hold an item, but dont take up a mega slot, can have new type/ability, but u have to star evolve them in battle

the regular

a generation after a star pokemon has been introduced, it can now become a regular evolution. this new pokemon will evolve from the original pokemon. they can have more HP than the mega and new movesets/type/ability

example

gen6:---------------------------------->gen7:------------------------>gen8:
mega banette------------------------->star banette----------------->banette evolution
ghost/prankster----------------------->ghost/dark;prankster------>ghost/dark;prankster
stats:64/165/75/93/83/75------------>64/135/85/93/93/65-------> 84/125/95/50/93/55
------------------------------------------------------------------------>gets swords dance,recover,D-punch
in conclusion, if u r reading this thanks for sticking though, i think this will be a nice way to stop the megas from being to overwhelming and make more new pokemon; if u got any suggestions to the theory or questions/comments please reply
