Other Mono Normal RMT

I know normal teams aren't very high tier when it comes to the mono team game, with water and steel taking the top spots last time I checked, but I digress. I actually like this team, but I know it could use some improvements, I'm just not sure what to do to make it more reliable. which is where all of you lovely people come in (^w^)

Lopunny
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Limber/Scrappy
Item: Lopunnite
Evs: 4 hp/252 Atk/ 252 Speed
Moves:
Drain Punch
Ice Punch
Thunder Punch
Facade

The mega evolver of the team. is a fast physical sweeper with the ability to hit ghost types with its ability scrappy. The elemental punches chosen mimic the popular bolt-beam combo and gives good coverage. Drain Punch while not the strongest stab move avlible has the nice benefit of healing Loppunny and with its already massive attack stat hits hard enough to OHKO more frail opponents and possibly 2HKO others, its a reliable source of healing if nothing else. Facade should probably be switched with Return, but its a nice surprise for when someone burns, poisons, or paralyzes Loppunny.

Chansey
Nature: Calm
Ability: Natural Cure
Item: Eviolite
Evs: 252 HP/ 252 SpDef/ 4 Speed
Moves:
Aromatherapy
Soft-boiled
Toxic
Protect

The special wall of the team and cleric. Aromatherapy removes status from the team which also makes natural cure rather pointless outside of Chansey being put to sleep but the other abilities don't really work for this set. Soft-boiled is to maintain longevity along with protect. protect also helps to scout if needed. Toxic is of course to wear down the enemy, but is admittedly useless against steel teams and its basically game over if Chansey is the last one standing against a team that has any steel type members left.

Staraptor
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Intimidate
Item: Life Orb
Evs: 4 HP/ 252 Atk/ 252 Speed
Moves:
Close Combat
Brave Bird
Roost
Return

A second fast physical sweeper incase bunny gets KOed and that can and will happen. are there better sweepers probably I'm just not sure which I should run over this guy. life orb gives him a boost to his atk which is why I went with a jolly nature, granted it means he won't stay around for as long but his roll is mainly to hit fighting, grass, and bug types or to be a clean up sweeper after bunny is koed. it is also the reason for roost. close combat is a nice powerful attack that works against steel teams and ice teams as well as dark. brave bird is his strongest stab attack for flying and return for normal.

Smergal
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Technician
Item: Focus Sash
Evs: 252 HP/ 4 Atk/ 252 Speed
Moves:
Spore
Dragon Dance
Baton Pass
Play Rough

A baton pass set that boosts speed and attack. this set helps to make bunny and raptor bigger threats or at the very least give a nice speed boost to other team members. Spore should be obvious since it will put anything short of a grass type or mon with the insomnia ability to sleep without fail and allows for the setting up of D-Dance pass combo. Play rough is more or less filler that can take advantage of D-Dance (though with Smergal's pathetically low attack even boost by D-Dance it won't be doing much). Sash is to insure that I get to use spore and D-dance along with baton pass at least once.

Porygon-Z
Nature: Timid
Ability: Download
Item: Choice Scarf
Evs: 4 HP/ 252 SpAtk/ 252 Speed
Moves:
Ice-Beam
Thunderbolt
Psyshock
Shadow Ball

A fast special sweeper that has nice coverage and is able to hit special walls with psyshock. uses bolt-beam for decent coverage and shadow ball to hit ghost types for super effective damage.

Heliolisk
Nature: Timid
Ability: Dry Skin
Item: Expert Belt
Evs: 4 HP/ 252 SpAtk/ 252 Speed
Moves:
Focus Blast
Parabolic Charge
Grass Knot
Surf

Parabolic Charge is admittedly an odd choice for the electric stab move when thunderbolt would probably be better, but it does heal heliolisk by 50% of the damage delt and gets an additional boost for expert belt when it hits for super effective damage. Focus Blast and surf are basically strong moves that hit for nice damage and hit steel, fire, rock, ice, and ground types. Grass Knot is for those annoying water/ground mons. I like using Belt over life orb or a choice item because it doesn't drain hp or lock me into one move while still giving a boost against good type matchups. in addition to this, in case it wasen't already obvious he is the second special sweeper of the team.

I don't often post these sorts of things anywhere, but I would like some feedback on this team. granted the main/only reason I made it was to use mega lopunny.

Personally, when using Pory-Z, I've found you'll have better luck using Specs over Scarf because you're still pretty quick with Max Speed anyways. It's much better off as a wallbreaker, and you're losing out massively when it comes to power because Adaptability + Tri Attack pretty much eats anything that doesn't resist it alive.

A more recommended set -
Porygon-Z @ Choice Specs
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Tri Attack
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt

Dark Pulse hits everything that Shadow Ball would for the same damage and I'm pretty sure it'll flinch things too. Nothing with a lowered SpD. will even consider staying in against a Pory-Z. Ice Beam and TBolt both stay, because they're reliable and pack a punch against some things that can be a threat, and Tri Attack is a massive boost - 252 SpA + Specs + 2x Stab = 240 Base Power. Comparing that to your other set, only a few things actually resist Tri and even then you can deal with them with other things.

If you really need to, you can switch TBolt or Beam with Psyshock if you think you'll be dealing with special walls often, but that's just my advice.

For Smeargle use shift gear instead of d dance as it gives 1 atk and 2 speed. Also instead of play rough I'd use either SR, spin, magic coat or whirlwind. If you really want an attack, maybe extreme speed for extremely weakened targets.
