So Im trying to make a good Mono Steel team. Water was taken because water was taken and I didnt care for the others so lets get started.
Skarmory Leftovers Impish
252 HP 4 Att 252 Def
Sturdy
Brave Bird
Roost
Spikes
Whirlwind
Got the Fighting Resistance and ground immunity right here. The EVs are designed to make sure Skarmory doesnt have to worry about going down to boosted Physical attacks and he gets insurance in Sturdy so if he's at full health, my team isnt getting swept. Skarm can tank any Fighting type attack with ease and retaliate with Brave Bird. Drill Peck is an option yes, but the damage from Brave Bird is too much to pass up and I could just Roost off the damage like the bulky wall I am. Spikes is used because I got a Stealth Rock user later on down. With Spikes, the Whirlwind Shenanigans never get old dealing 12% to anyone coming in and letting the opponent set up or switch out always makes good time to through these out. You got those guys who want to set up and try to sweep you and thats what Whirlwind is for. If the random switches dont piss you off, the hazard damage will :)
Heatran Choice Scarf Timid
4 HP 252 SpAtt 252 Spe
Flash Fire
Fire Blast
Flash Cannon
Earth Power
HP Ice
Ah Heatran this guy is a staple on pretty much every team and he's still a staple in Mono battles. The EVs and Nature ensure that Heatran goes as fast as possible. Flash Fire gives him the ability to eat up Fire type attacks and boost his already strong Fire Blast. Fire Blast is obviously his strongest move and will punch holes in any Team weak to it. It also scares the infamous Ferrothorn away which would otherwise give this team trouble. Flash Cannon is to hit Fairy and Ice types that may prove problematic for the team and its a strong STAB move to use on any switch.
Earth Power allows Heatran to score KOs on Fire types stupid enough to stay in. It alao slams Electric Teams hard and if you dont have a levitater or Zapdos, you're not gonna have fun. HP Ice was chosen so Heatran can hit any Ground and Dragon types hard. Flying teams love running Landorus who will fall victim to a sniping HP Ice and I bet Garchomp will never stay in on Heatran again after this experience nor will any unboisted Dragon/Flying type.
Bisharp BlackGlasses Adamant
4 HP 252 Attack 252 Spe
Defiant
Swords Dance
Sucker Punch
Knock Off
Iron Head
You guys thought Mawile was bad with the Sucker Punch but you forgot about her older brother who gains a boost on intimidaters, has STAB on his Sucker Punch, and has enough speed to be a fearsome threat. The Spread ensures any unboosted tank is outsped and hit hard with Knock Off. Defiant is for anyone trying to stop his sweep with Intimidate. Swords Dance makes this poke the new Mawile; bagging 6-0s with ease with Sucker Punch. Knock Off hits switches running for their lives while Iron Head punishes anyone trying to evade Sucker Punch. The reason why I chose him was because there's bound to be at least one defogger on every team and when they think they're safe by removing hazards, they got a +2 monster running around. Were the rocks really worth it?
Empoleon Leftovers Calm
252 HP 4 SpAtt 252 Speed
Torrent
Stealth Rock
Scald
Ice Beam
Roar
Empoleon is a highly underrated pokemon. It has a good typing, a great movepool, and has the Scald to make this team even bulkier. The Evs ensure this bulky mofo doesnt go down to Fire type attacks which everyone runs to. Torrent gives Scald one last powerful blast and Defiant is useless. Stealth Rock is here to make this team a hazard based team and make switching out a pain in the butt. Literally imagine landing on one those sharp pointed rocks. Scald is used to weaken Fire types and physical attackers with the 30% burn (Which never seems to happen!!!) It'll make ground types think twice about fighting Empoleon. Ice Beam is there for Dragons and other Grass types trying to get the edge on Empoleon. Roar is used because Empoleon is probably going to come in once. Why not force a switch-in out? Oh and its a HAZARD BASED TEAM!!!
Excadrill Air Balloon Jolly
4 HP 252 Att 252 Spe
Mold Breaker
Rapid Spin
Earthquake
Iron Head
Rock Slide
C'mon you didnt expect me to leave out this cute little monster here. I needed something to tank Electric attacks that break my core. What?! It's a mono team get over it!!! The spread...well you get the point. :p Mold Breaker is there to break any univested Rotom and it hits Shedinja because thats new meta. Air Balloon allows him to come in on the common EQ and allows him to hit those targets hard. Rapid Spin is used because Sticky Web and Rocks suck and I need to keep Skarm healthy for Sturdy to go off. EQ is obvious for its hit floating Electric types, slower Fire types, and because its awesome with Mold Breaker. Iron Head is a strong stab to hit incoming Switch-ins and is a nice hit to Sylveon and Clefable. Rock Slide hits Flying types hard and can be a nifty flich hax...wait Iron Head does that too...NEXT POKE!!!
Doublade Eviolite Brave
244 HP 252 Attack 12 SpD
No Guard
Swords Dance
Shadow Claw
Gyro Ball
Shadow Sneak
ShikoTAG why are you using Doublade on this team?! Because you guys got Aegi banned and there is no better Spinblocker than him so get over it!!!
The Eviolite, spread, and set ensures this thing will be around for awhile. Brave is used because whowill he outspeed?! Ferrothorn?!, Slowbro?! Rest and Sleep Talk are a nuisance for he can recover off status and he can slam you with a strong Gyro Ball. Shadow Claw is a good move to hit any poke resisting Gyro Ball with a nice chance to crit. Gyro Ball hits all the Fairies and Ice types hard and kills them with ease followed by Brave giving it 200 BP half the time.
Here are some alternatives to team matchups that I'll switch out for pokes who dont really like that matchup.
Mega Scizor Adamant
248 HP 84 Attack 176 SpD
Technician
Swords Dance
Bullet Punch
Knock Off
Roost
He is here to fight Fighting and Bug Teams over Bisharp. His typing makes him harder for them to kill and he has great power after a boost. Bullet Punch is his main stab punching holes with the Technician boost to really cause damage. Knock Off is used on switches to make them regret switching. Roost ensures his bulk and makes him that much harder to kill
Ferrothorn Leftovers Impish
252 HP 4 Attack 252 Defense
Iron Barbs
Stealth Rock/Spikes
Leech Seed
Power Whip
Thunder Wave
He is here to fight Electric and Water teams. With his bulk, he can easily set up hazards. Leech Seed is to increase his longevity and Thunder Wave is to ensure his not set up fodder. I prefer Power Whip over Gyro Ball because it hits the bulkier threats hard and demolishes water teams
Im out of alternatives so it would be appreciated if I got feedback from you guys. Thanks
