Other Monotype - Getting Buggy

No formatting, I'm not that good lol

Anyways, my Mono - bug team. It's won quite a few battles, but still has a few bugs to work out, pun intended lol.

My lead:

Shuckle @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Sticky Web
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Rest

Ok, I usually start the battle with shuckle as I can easily get off stealth rocks and sticky web. SR is pretty self explanatory, and sticky web helps the rest of my team out speed a lot of threats. Toxic is pretty much only on here because shuckle doesn't have any really viable attacks so he needs something if hes my last, plus its good to weaken the opponent after SR and SW are up. Rest is just a stall, but usually I just let the opponent KO Shuckle after it's done its job. EVs are set to make it as bulky as it needs to be to set up the hazards that its there for.

Spinner:

Forretress @ Red Card
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Rapid Spin
- Spikes
- Toxic
- Gyro Ball

This is my spinner, always a bad idea to send in a frailish bug type, especially bug/flying into SR. He also has spikes which could probably be switched out as I hardly use it. toxic because I love watching the opponents life drain away, and gyro ball b/c he's pretty slow and steel STAB to cover what steel covers lol. Red Card is great bc if I'm facing a wall I have a hard time with I can switch into Forretress and Card them away. Bulky EVs bc what else would I use on Forretress?

Booster:

Scolipede @ Focus Sash
Ability: Speed Boost
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Poison Jab
- Baton Pass
- Protect
- Swords Dance

I love this guy, srsly. Focus sash for a definite SD. Speed boost is self explanatory, protect allows for more speed. Basically, I protect, get speed, swords dance, protect again for one more speed and then baton pass to a sweeper ftw lol. Poison jab is an obligatory STAB attack just so he's not useless on his own. Shiny because it makes him 20% cooler. EV's are all bulk and speed to get in the boosts before getting hit.

Sweeper:

Heracross @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Seed
- Stone Edge
- Knock Off
- Close Combat

This is usually #1 of my 2 sweepers. I'll boost with scoli and either switch to Pinsir or this guy. Honestly I think with the scoli speed boosts I could probably get rid of the Scarf for a different item, or even a choice band. Moxie for extra strength after a KO, and trust me, he gets KOs. Knock off is great for taking out pesky items like Lefties, but I'll usually do that unboosted then switch back out for someone else. CC for normal walls plus it does some major damage being his most powerful STAB. Bullet seed has done me well with him, consistently getting 3-4 hits each time, and it has swept entire teams just with Bullet seed. And stone edge is great for hitting a lot of flying and fire types which bug is weak against, but with speed boosts can easily outspeed, and boosted with either a SD or Moxie KOs, hits really hard and fast against my weak spots. EVs are all Physical sweeper set-up.

Mega-Sweeper:

Pinsir @ Pinsirite
Ability: Mold Breaker
Happiness: 0
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Frustration
- Earthquake
- Close Combat
- Quick Attack

This guy right here.. He kills. Especially if pre-boosted by Scoli. Don't ask why I chose Frustrastion over Return, Idk, I just did. But mega-Sir gets arialate ability which makes normal moves flying for an incredible STAB out of frustration. Same with quick attack which is just there to kill off weakened mons before they can attack me. CC could probably be changed as Heracross has it too, but it's just a really good move, powerful, hits many common types, etc. EQ for fire and steel type coverage, as well as electric which could potentially take this bug/flier down. Mold breaker is useful pre-mega evol for EQing any levitating mons that could prove hard to tackle.

Shocking conclusion:

Galvantula @ Focus Sash
Ability: Compound Eyes
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunder
- Bug Buzz
- Volt Switch

Honestly, I'm not really sure what his job is on the team, but whatever it is, he does it rather effectively. T-wave helps to slow down mons that can still outspeed past sticky webs. Bug buzz is actually my only Bug move on the team, which comes in handy if the opponent sends out a psychic to take scolipede. Volt switch to Stab and switch after t-waving, and thunder for major Stab damage, but it has normally missed more than hit for me. He's sashed to make sure I get that t-wave in, and he can usually get one more hit after the paralysis.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So thats pretty much my team in a nutshell, or shuckles shell, or forretress' shell. Whatever lol
Any questions, comments, concerns? Any opinions on how to make this decent team an epic team? I'd rather not switch any mons out, but I'ld think about switching Galvantula out if its just too good to pass up.
oh, and one more thing... Pinsir is my mega, that's not going to change. Idc how good mega Scizor is, or if you think heracross would be a better mega. Pinsir is my mega.

I'm tired as hell right now, but something you could consider for Galvantula would be running Sticky Web over something like Thunder - Thunder Wave gets a Parayze off, and if you get the Web down then you're already outspeeding next to everything else unboosted which is good for the sweepers who might have an issue slipping in.

Another idea might be to run Sub on Scolipede over Protect - Protecting gives you one turn of no damage, where a sub means you can get a safe bp off if you get lucky, and you can use three in a row there and maybe more if you switch sash for Lefties.

I'll come up with some other stuff later, but I'm not working right right now.

I originally had sticky web instead of t-wave but I figured since shuckle had sticky web I didnt need 2 mons with it. I like the Sub-Scolipede idea, I'll give that a try and see how it works out.

I actually managed to miss that Shuckle had Web on it, alright.

Otherwise, that's all I got for you at the moment.

I just battled after switching protect for sub, I do like that, I managed to get more SDs in than with protect alone. there are still a few things to smooth over because my battles are too close for comfort lol, I'd prefer to 4 to 0 them instead of 1-2 to 0
