Fairy/Fighting Mr. Mime + No Guard

New Stats: (40 HP / 45 Atk / 60 Def / 100 SpA / 120 SpD / 115 (+25) Spe)

Mr. Mime @ Life Orb
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 4 / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hypnosis
- Focus Blast
- Thunder
- Blizzard

Well I was going to do Ghost/Fairy sylveon but that's so boring and effective and stuff. Who would want that when we could have No guard Mr. Mime with STAB unmissable focus blast?

And speed! And coverage!

Ghost/Fairy Granbull
Granbull @ Life Orb / Choice Band
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Shadow Sneak
- Play Rough
- Close Combat
- Earthquake / Fire Punch / Stone Edge / Whatever

Since Klefki can stack spikes and clef/dian can set rocks, it'd be cool to have some form of spinblocking. This granbull basically does both roles in a spinblock core with defiant and ghost typing. I also gave it shadow sneak to make up for its garbage speed tier.

Gonna get on that granbull hype train

Fairy/Fire Type
90 HP / 120 Atk / 75 Def / 60 SpA / 60 SpD / 45 Spe => 90 HP / 120 Atk / 75 Def / 60 SpA / 60 SpD / 71 Spe
Granbull @ Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake
- Play Rough

Fairy always needed another good physical attacker aside from Azumarill and Slurpuff, and running either basically means having to run the BD sweeper set.
Granbull is now the designated steel killer, with natural access to Fire punch, Earthquake, and Intimidate. Granbull also gets natural access to CC, meaning it has no problem taking out the normal core
Gave Granbull 71 Base speed to outspeed base 70s, most notable being skarmory, bisharp, and Volcanion. 71 over 70 so that it can unexpectedly outspeed the cancer that is known as Stall Breaker Gliscor. Eien just for you <3
However this set is running adamant for extra damage, a jolly set would still be amazing, but since fairy is filled with twave, i decided to leave it out.

252+ Atk Choice Band Granbull Play Rough vs. 244 HP / 8 Def Gliscor: 187-222 (53.1 - 63%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Poison Heal
252+ Atk Choice Band Granbull Fire Punch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 218-258 (65.2 - 77.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
-1 252+ Atk Technician Mega Scizor Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Granbull: 102-121 (31.7 - 37.6%) -- 91.3% chance to 3HKO
252 SpA Magnezone Flash Cannon vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Granbull: 198-234 (61.6 - 72.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Iron Head vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Granbull: 211-250 (65.7 - 77.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Granbull Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Porygon2: 210-248 (56.1 - 66.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Cycle 9: Psychic

The type of this cycle is one of the most versatile and most used types in Monotype, Psychic! There are a lot of cool and interesting Psychic types that are C Rank and below, so I'm looking forward to some interesting ideas for this cycle. Remember, unranked Pokemon are legal. Check out Monotype Viability Rankings to get a clue of what Pokemon you should submit your ideas for.
You have until Friday 22/07/2016.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 148 HP / 252 SpA / 108 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spore
- Nasty Plot
- Giga Drain
- Baton Pass / Recover

Celebi was always just one of Psychic's tools with viable stats, decent movepool yet nothing to set it apart from other Pokemon on Psychic-type teams. As a Stealth Rocker, it's outclassed by Mew, Jirachi, Deoxys-D, Deoxys-S, and Azelf while its Nasty Plot set barely sees any usage thanks to its barely average speed stat. However, access to spore would set it apart from any other Nasty Plot user. Creating opportunities for Nasty Plot would now be much easier and Celebi would be able to wallbreak quite easily. Baton Pass + Nasty Plot is also a very dangerous option to allow faster wallbreakers such as Mega-Alakazam, Mega-Gardevoir and Latios wreck havoc vs unprepared teams while also being able to switch in without taking damage, something that greatly helps the frail Mega-Alakazam thanks to spore. The speed EVs allow it to outspeed Bisharp, a great threat to Psychic-type teams. As spore bypasses Sucker Punch, Psychic would now have a much easier time facing one of its biggest threats and would be able to run other options besides substitute on Mega-Gardevoir, Hoopa-u, Mega-Alakazam etc.

Solrock @ Heat Rock
Ability: Drought
Base Stats: HP 70 / Atk 45 / Def 85 / SpA 105 / SpD 65 / Spe 70 / Bst 440
EVs: 236 HP / 252 SpA / 20 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind / Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam
- Earth Power / Ancientpower / Morning Sun

Solrock is a usually unused mon in most tiers, except for the occasional ubers appearance being a suprisingly good check vs pdon. Though its utility is good, it struggles to dish out decent damage. With drought and a 'swapped' SpA and Atk stat, it can perform in monotype as a great talonflame bird counter which psychic struggles with. It helps with normal spam too and can be used to power up Victini's V-Create with drought, next to setting up rocks.
Solrock already has a good special movepool so no additional moves are required. It can learn psychic/psyshock, a plethora of fire type moves, solarbeam, ancient- and earth power, in addition to lesser used stuff like charge beam and shadow ball. Its morning sun is boosted in sun, recovering almost up to full in a single turn.
With levitate gone it now needs to watch out for earthquake but that's no problem as psychic has good means to deal with that such as latias+slowbro, and also lower ranked mons such as bronzong and even exeggutor which loves solrock's sun.

If a more defensive set is wished, it has access to useful utility moves such as will-o-wisp, toxic and also the riskier iron defense and cosmic power.

I like the set a lot, but Talonflame has been banned in monotype for quite a while, so there's no need to mention that it counters Talonflame.

just throwing a fun set out there

Musharna @ Mental Herb / Custap Berry / Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Barrier
- Calm Mind
- Baton Pass / Dazzling Gleam / Psyshock
- Moonlight

I got the idea from musharna being asleep, so it is literally unaware of its surroundings so to speak. So I thought it fit well.
Anyways, this is more of a set to sweep unprepared teams. Either by baton passing the stats on to something that might need it, or if you choose to run an attack, it could sweep on its own. It would also be a last minute check to mega gyara, as a crunch on musharna along with another crunch after a barrier does not 2HKO.

252 Atk Mold Breaker Mega Gyarados Crunch vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Musharna: 240-284 (55.1 - 65.2%)
252 Atk Mold Breaker Mega Gyarados Crunch vs. +2 248 HP / 252+ Def Musharna: 120-144 (27.5 - 33.1%)

As you can see, even getting 2 max rolls does a total damage of 98.3%. And musharna can from there proceed to pass the defense boosts to something that needs it, or if it has an attack move, can sweep.
0 SpA Musharna Dazzling Gleam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Gyarados: 98-116 (29.6 - 35%) -- 10.9% chance to 3HKO
An unboosted dazzling gleam takes out the sub as well.

Mental Herb so that musharna isnt totally useless against the likes of taunt mew and taunt gliscor, which psychic already has some issue dealing with.
Custap if taunt isnt that much of a threat to you, and you would rather have the last minute baton priority. Lefties if you want to run the attacking set.
