In Monotype more so than other tiers, there are huge threats that can be very hard to get past for types that have a large amount of shared weaknesses. As such, teambuilding in Monotype can be tough and there are so many teambuilding pressures that it can be difficult to decide what to do add on to counteract them. This thread is meant to serve as a resource by showing checks and counters to common threats in the Monotype metagame.
Rules:
1. Every round, I will nominate a Pokemon for discussion, along with the big types that the Pokemon is a threat to. Within ≈ 7 days' time, you guys will have the ability to discuss and nominate various Pokémon that you think can either check or counter the victim of the week, for one type or for every type.
2. I will post voting on Friday. Vote for your favorite check and favorite counter for each type, and I'll choose the top three of each or more by Sunday, and post the new Pokemon and types. I've decided that voting would be too scattered because of the separation by type, so no voting, I'll just add them all into the archive.
3. The results will be archived and the process will continue week after week.
4. Follow the definitions for checks and counters, by MattL in The Smog Issue 32! (With a loose interpretation , as since this is Monotype it is hard to fit these criteria.)
6. For the first three days of the nomination, (usually Friday-Monday) each person can only nominate one Pokemon. During the second half of the nomination (usually Monday-Thursday) each person can nominate as many Pokemon as he/she wants. Post calcs if not obvious, and definitely provide a few lines of description.
7. You may reserve a check or counter, but you must post within a day of reserving or it's free for someone else to take.

5. Make sure your Pokemon is viable. If your Pokemon isn't ranked in the viability rankings here, then don't post it.Pokémon A checks Pokémon B if, when Pokémon A is given a free switch into Pokémon B, Pokémon A can win every time, even under the worst case scenario, without factoring in hax.
Pokémon A counters Pokémon B if Pokémon A can manually switch into Pokémon B and still win every time, even under the worst case scenario, without factoring in hax.
