Welcome all to the 4th edition of the Most UBER Tournament Ever, also known as MUTE. This tournament will be hosted by SparksBlade, with major back-end contributions from Hack and Haruno.

Ubers is a tier where only the manliest, most based Pokemon reside. Pokemon such as the behemoth, Primal-Groudon; Pokemon like the bloodcurdling Mega-Salamence. You see, there are no counters in Ubers, and there are close to no safe switch-ins. In Ubers, you always have to assess your situation; you always have to think about which Pokemon you don't need, and which Pokemon will bring you the win. This Tier is as fast-paced as they come; this Tier is as team-reliant as it comes. As stated in former MUTE Tournaments, our Tier, sadly, is not getting the attention and love it deserves(#dreamSPL8). In the words of the great Furai, it's time to give Ubers the love it deserves. We will be rekindling arguably the best Ubers tournament ever created, hosted originally by some of the all-time Ubers greats such as Bojangles, Hugendugen, Zephyr, Furai, Firemage, and Fireburn: THE MOST UBER TOURNAMENT EVER!

  • Species Clause
  • OHKO Clause
  • Evasion Clause
  • Endless Battle Clause
  • Sleep Clause
  • Self-KO Clause
  • Swagger Clause
  • Timed Battle
  • Matches should be conducted on Pokemon Showdown! You may play on Pokemon Online if both players agree to do so.
  • Save replays of your games in case of discrepancies!

Special Rules:
  • This will be a team tournament akin to Team Trials. They will be teams of 5. We will have 16 teams, chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
    • Sign up as a team
    • Everybody on the team must confirm
    • Come up with an awesome name
    • For those who do not have a team, I will be keeping a list of “free agents” so go ahead and express interest! I will not be making teams though, so it is your responsibility to seek out other free agents.
    • IMPORTANT: When you sign up as a team, each member will be randomly assigned to be in a Division (A-E are possibilities). When teams play each other, people will play the corresponding player in their division. The restrictions will be given by division as well. YOU MAY NOT CHANGE DIVISIONS.
  • Yes, this means you are building a new team every round. I still expect people to adhere to strict deadlines.

  • Play your games with your team yourself!
  • YOU ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE FUN

Restrictions
Thunder Wave is banned. All mons in S ranks are banned (Primal Groudon, Mega Salamence, Xerneas, Arceus-Normal, Ho-Oh, Darkrai)
Must use each Choice item i.e. Choice Band, Choice Scarf, and Choice Specs. 1 of the Choice items must be used twice. Both Orbs are banned.
No items allowed. None.
5/6 mons can have only attacking moves. 6th mon has free reign.
5/6 mons can only use lower attacking stat of all Pokemon. 6th mon can either use the higher attacking stat, provided it isn't a STAB move. Mons with equal attacking stats are treated on a case-by-case basis, as shown below:
Aegislash - Can use either attacking stat.
Arceus-Normal - Only Special Attack stat
Arceus-Ground - Only Special Attack stat
Arceus-Ghost - Only Special Attack stat
All other Arceus - Only Attack stat
All Deoxys - Only Attack stat
Genesect - Only Special Attack stat
Both Giratina Formes - Only Special Attack stat
Lugia - Can use either attacking stat
Rayquaza - Only Special Attack stat
Xerneas - Only Attack stat
Yveltal - Only Attack stat
Mega Sableye - Can use either attacking stat
Klefki - Can use either attacking stat
Mega Diancie - Only Attack stat

If you're unsure about any of the restrictions, wanna clear anything, just wanna get your team checked for legality(or send it in to keep self same from timeout etc), feel free to hmu on PS or here with a PM. This is the finals, try not to screw over your team with some silly mistake.

Alas, these mighty heroes did their best for naught! As mighty ruler of the land, Pohjis God of Luck and Good Fortune, had destined them to meet their demise in round 2! May these brave conquerors rest in peace, leaving the pride and glory to men who made it past the horrific obstacle of round 2.

crest brought up mewtwo and mmx: mewtwo has spa>atk and mmx has atk>spa

note: USE. so you can carry draco dialga, but if you use draco, you lose. if you carry draco, and are forced to use it by torment disable or w/e, you lose.

what this means for mewtwo is that the base form, having spa>atk, can only use physical attacks, while mmx can only use special attacks. you can use a set say: drain punch, psystrike, ice beam, focus blast. in base form, you can only use drain punch, and when you mega, you can't use drain punch.

as for if it's the 6th mon
6th mon can either use the higher attacking stat, provided it isn't a STAB move.

taking above example, drain punch mmx will count as one of the 5 mons and you can't use drain punch in mega form. if you use eq>drain punch(aka not stab), then mmx counts as the 6th mon and you can use eq in mega form

Fell for his cheap lies, making me chose my most fast paced team out of respect for his "situation".
Turns out it was all bs and he brought stall.
I'll still say gg though, like a good boy.

Well I'm so sorry that I had a flight to catch, and I brought the team I did since it was the only one I had that fit the restrictions. Maybe you think half an hour isn't long enough to play stall, but if you think I was lying find some other place to make an excuse about why you lost.

I was about to bring a fat fairyceus ogre team, but switched because you said to hurry because you said you had "less than 20 minutes to catch a plane", so I switched teams.
Then you bring some stall team, which I can't comprehend to begin with, and to top that of you're still on ps almost 50 min later, so don't give me that crap.
I'm fine with losing, and it's not even about my loss.
There are just two things that really push my buttons, one of them being hypocrits, and the other one being liars.

If you think I'm lying that's fine, I don't give two shits. As for why I was online I don't log out of PS when I leave lol
