Hello all! My name is Arvidter and I'm quite new to the competitive sector. This is the first serious team I have build, and I am wandering what you guys think I should do to improve this team.
The physical wall
Skarmory@Rocky Helmet
Ability: Sturdy
Impish nature
EV's: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SpD
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
- Roost
- Brave Bird
I really love this bird. Almost impossible to destroy with physical attacks, you just whirlwind everything you don't like and laugh how stealth rock kills them. I prefer Rocky Helmet over Leftovers, because you always got roost, and because Skarmory almost can't do any damage himself, this will be a real lifesafer.
The special wall from hell
Tyranitar@Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
Carefull nature
EV's: 252 HP/252 SpD/4 Atk
- Pursuit
- Rock Slide
- Earthquake
- Crunch
The special tank from hell. It's just ridicilous how well he takes special attacks. Also the Pursuit trapper for the psychic/ghost types who really don't want to fight Tyranitar. I think he is a good counterpart for Skarmory and my team can really profit from the sandstorm (curse you weathernerf).
The annoyer
Jellicent@Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
Bold nature
EV's: 248 HP/252 Def/8 Spe
- Will-O-Wisp
- Scald
- Recover
- Taunt
I just love taunt and will-o-wisp, and this is the pokemon who can make azumarill completely useless. He has really nice resistences and the mustach is really cool. Combined with Tyranitar and Skarmory, I really think there isn't much I can't wall (except physical electric pokemon, but I got that covered with Excadrill and Garchomp). He can completely shut down stallers, make set-uppers cry and is the nightmare of physical attackers.
The rapid spinner
Excadrill@Air Balloon
Ability: Sand Rush
Adamant nature
EV's: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
My sweet little rapid spinner. With sandstorm, he will definitely clear those entry hazards you have nightmares of. He does a surprising amount of damage, and with the Air Balloon he will havel 3 immunities!!!! He can also get rid of annoying fairies and if there is sandstorm, you can be sure he will be the first one to hit.
The special sweeper
Volcarona@Life Orb
Ability: Flame Body
Timid nature
EV's: 4 HP/252 SpA/252 Spe
- Quiver Dance
- Fiery Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Giga Drain
My special sweeper. Get him a quiver dance, and he will be unstoppable. With giga drain he will hit his counters hard and live to kill another day without suiciding by life orb and getting killed by my own sandstorm. Despite his stealth rock weakness, he can really wreck teams who are not prepared.
Not even fairies stand a chance
Garchomp@Garchompite
Ability: Rough Skin
Jolly nature
EV's: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
- Sword Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Stone Edge
Really, you don't even want to know how strong this guy is with sandstorm up. I destroyed a whole fairy team with only this guy in a sandstorm without Sword Dance. He can 1-shot a ridiculous amount of Pokémon, is almost impossible to 1-shot (stay away Ice-Shard Mamoswine) and is definitely the biggest thread of my team.
Please guys, can you give me your thoughts about my team? All thoughts, critics and tips are welcome!
