NEW to pokemon showdown! Choosing Name Issues

Hey everyone! I'm new to pokemon showdown and i have already built my teams, but whenever i try to look for a battle, i'm asked to choose a username, when i put "Ginken" in the box, it dissapears and nothing happens, does someone knows what should i do?
