Tournament Rules
  • Choose a Gym Leader to play as (You may change this between rounds)
  • Choose any 6 Pokemon owned by that character (Species Clause applies)
  • Pokemon must be from main series games gens 3-5 (No RBY, no Pokemon Stadium)
  • Pokemon must have a specific set that was used by the Gym Leader (You can't pick from all of the moves, ability must stay the same)
  • If the Pokemon has an item, you may use it. If it does not, you can substitute an item held by a different Pokemon of the same species which is also owned by your character
  • If no Pokemon of the species has an item, it can't have one.
  • If multiple abilities are listed, you may pick.
  • Gems are usable since this is BW
  • Banned abilities are still banned (Snow Cloak, Moody, etc.)

Well i used Blue myself, tried to make it as fairly balanced as i could with what was available which at times hurt me if who i was facing was all of one type and i only had one or two ways to deal with it XD. Anyhow i'll post up the team i used here since its seen its use XD.

I chose Pryce as my gym leader, partly because he was always a challenge for me in the games but mostly because Ice is probably my favorite Pokemon type (mostly due to me being born in winter and loving snow) and definitely under-appreciated just because most can't look past the major weaknesses the type admittedly has. Below is my team, as well as exactly which in-game use Pryce had for it, as originally PMed to the original tournament host.

I've been using Giovanni because he had some strong mons, I originally picked it to go Quick Claw Sand Stream Hippowdon + Sand Veil Gliscor + Sand Veil Garchomp to get out of bad matchups, but apparently that wasn't allowed. Stuck with Giovanni anyways. I wanted to add Krookodile here as well, but Sturdy Stealth Rock from Golem was too good imo, and Nidoking is awesome.

Later on I wanted to change to Blue because of my massive Ice weakness which gave me a hard time versus Choice Scarf Ice Punch Medicham, but I forgot to so I had to play with this team anyways. McMeghan brought an Ice gym. I lost.


Also, rooting for McMeghan! Though both are obviously deserved winners
 
Lost to Ojama. Got some luck to make up for the type disadvantage (Water vs Dragon) but I didn't pull through, gg!
