Lots of votes this round, great, thanks everybody. This week's winner is Drop with CharX offence. Runner up is Infernal with M-Bro balance. Congratulations both and welcome back to the hall of fame!

Core 2: 10
Core 3: 3
Core 4: 6
Core 5: 3

In the spirit of Christmas, this week's theme will be:
Natural Gift!
At least one member of the core must know the lure move natural gift.

Having a check or counter to a certain threat is all well and good, but in battle they can just switch out, making it difficult to achieve your wincon. A well-timed natural gift can make an extremely powerful and effective one-time lure to surprise and take out a key threat, which can turn the tide of a battle and clear the way for a sweep.

Ps. Happy Christmas!

Mega Tyranitar is a bit uncommon. Because of this, people usually think Gyara is the mega when both are on the same team. This helps Gyara lure in Ferrothorn easier with Natural Gift, and keeps the other person guessing until the necessary info is revealed. Aside from luring Ferro, Cheri Berry also cures paralysis, meaning something like Thundurus-I can't stop your sweep. Mega Tar is now free to use something other than Fire Punch for coverage, like Ice Punch or Thunder Punch to catch bulky Garchomp or Keldeo respectively.

They form a good offensive duo. They do a nice job of setting up on each others checks and counters. For example, Gyara is threatened by Raikou, Mega Manectric, CB Talonflame, and Kyurem-B. Mega Tar DDs on them all easily, and proceeds to threaten the opposing team. Mega Tar is threatened by ground types, such as Landorus-T and Hippowdon. Scizor, Keldeo, Conkeldurr, and Excadrill are also troublesome. Gyara threatens and sets up on the majority of these relatively well, making it a good partner. Intimidate can also ease Mega Tar's set up in some situations.

In addition to all of this, both pressure and weaken each others checks and counters. Skarmory is going to be weakened by one of Gyarados or Mega Tyranitar at +1, letting the other finish the job afterwards. This is especially true because most Skarmory are special defensive now. Clefable and Azumarill are common checks to this core, and can also be weakened enough for one member to pick off later. Rotom-W is a threat to this core, but if Mega Tyranitar has +1 prior to it coming in, Stone Edge is taking it down to a point where it can't handle Gyarados.

roseli berry is some crazy stuff you got here because i ran it with keldeo like a boss to kill those diancie people, but garchomp does it too, but who knew garchomp could also hit those opposing chomps without taking that rough skin trash along with those brelooms thinking they swag with full health? natural gift garchomp is just trash jk, but just sharing this through this thread to exhibit the roseli berry + pinsir combo demonstrating how diancie teams just autolose to pinsir once you kill the rock because diancie + electric does not exist. also, roseli berry can let you get a safe 2hko on azumarill and gardevoir

Electric spam is really good - most teams are STILL only prepared to deal with one electric type so having two on the team overloads their usual checks to a point where one of them can sweep. M-Mane is a fast and powerful pivot with HP ice and overheat for great coverage (for example preventing Excadrill from getting a free switch-in). Prankster T-wave from Thundy slows down faster threats and scarfers, sludge wave lures Clefable which can be annoying, and with nasty plot to break balance and stall, not much can withstand these two together.

Lansat berry natural gift (flying) Breloom lures M-Venu which is a big problem for the core - Venu usually completely walls Loom, switches in on a predicted spore and threatens to KO with sludge bomb, however Breloom boosts on the switch then outspeeds and KOs offensive variants after a SD, or does a minimum 75% to max Def variants. Once that's gone or taken into KO range Mane or Thundy can pick the rest of the team apart. The pair is also weak to bulky grounds such as Hippowdon and Quagsire, plus special walls such as Chansey, which Breloom covers, destroying ground types with bullet seed, mach punch for Chansey, which also beats Ferrothorn, can boost up with SD for wall breaking in general, and possibly most importantly destroys sand rush Excadrill.

Defensively, Manectric and Thundurus also share 0 common weaknesses and cover Breloom's flying and bug weaknesses, while Loom and Thundy cover M-Mane's ground weakness and Loom resists rock for Thundy.

Voting time. Thanks again to those who submitted a core. As usual voting ends in 2 days and you can vote for 1 or 2 cores. Good luck!

Core 1: 7
Core 2: 5
Core 3: 2
Core 4: 4

We've had lots of offensive themes so far, so this week's theme will be:

Regenerator!
Core must have at least two mons with the ability Regenerator.

Note: due to limited options, for the sake of diversity in submissions, cores of 3 Pokemon would be preferred.

With a regenerator core, you have the option of continually switching to regain health, allowing you to effectively wall a much larger portion of the metagame, play mind games with your opponent, and form a very strong defensive backbone for any stall, balance, or bulky offence team.

List of regenerator mons

core idea (any help would be nice, tbh)

Slowbro+Amoonguss+Mega Charizard X
Idea: this is a fairly straightforward defensive FWG core. Slowbro's psychic typing allows it to soak up other psychic attacks directed at amoonguss. amoonguss is a hard stop to azu and numerous other waters. if you have any comments, feel free to let me know!

If two regen mons aren't enough, why not run three? Slowbro's good physical bulk allows it to take on Talonflame (something this core struggles with) reliably while also taking hits from steels not called Magnezone/Magneton/Scizor to good effect (namely Mega Metagross). It is EV'd to take 2 Grass Knots from naive Mega Metagross after SR if its Leftovers are still in-tact, and has Fire Blast so that it can take advantage of said defensive investment. In addition, this allows it to lure and KO Ferrothorn, who is... ahem... a thorn in this core's side. Tagnrowth is this core's best answer to electrics and is capable of luring Heatran with Earthquake. Hidden Power Ice is used so that its not a complete sitting duck when its used to check the 4x-weak Ground-types. Finally, Tornadus-T has Superpower and Iron Tail to better take on Chansey and Clefable, respectively. The EVs guarantee the 2HKO on analysis CM Clef because there is no point EVing for PhysDef considering that Hurricane 2HKOs anyway.
