OST 12 PREDICTION TOURNAMENT

reigning champion BlackBloodz
Hosted by FireMage and Finchinator
Art by Tikitik

Playing before the prediction tour occurred
You may play before the prediction tournament is up, but try not to announce the result of your games before it actually get posted. In case you would play, the result wouldn't be altered anyway.

Welcome to another year of predictions! Sadly sandshrewz is still doing military service and FireMage is busy, so I'll be flying solo, so please bear with me!

For those unfamiliar with the format of the tournament; We'll post alongside the current OST Thread and you have to guess the winner of each match up. For each correct answer, you'll get a certain amount of points, which will end up with you obtaining an overall score.

For the winner of the Predictions tour - you'll receive a rather lovely Custom Banner and if you already have one; we'll negotiate a different prize.
~HERE IS THE FORM~
Remember, as it's round 10 (finals), each correct answer is worth 10 points!

round 3+4+5+6+7+8 will be counted sometime "soon" see below post - I now actually know how to do this, so I can easily catch up once I stop procrastinating (hint hint: soon!)

closed. prediction tour points trickling in by the day, too! (r3 points were on private until now - it was fixed. sorry to the seven of you who requested access and any others who were blocked!)

Is this still a thing?
Long story short is that I need help implementing a formula FireMage gave me to put into the spreadsheets to calculate results, but FireMage hasn't viewed forums in 3 weeks (May 28th) and, therefore, has not responded to my VM. I can do things 'manually' for each person each round, but that is incredibly time consuming, tedious, and sub-optimal, so that will progressively get done (especially once my first WCOP game is over b/c my progress over the last 3-4 days has admittedly been less than beforehand. It is definitely still a thing and I hope to get the completed results at some point in the near future.

Arifeen --- I'm very glad you're capable of reading the English language, quoting people on Pokemon forums, and changing font size. Those are some good skills go acquire and you should be proud.

On a serious note though (I'm not mad or anything although I feel that was a bit unnecessary - I do understand worries about this and its completion), I've been making progress at my own pace since the end of my vacation, but until I get settled into college (I move in on the 21st) it's going to be hard to make much progress. FireMage's fuck-up, inactivity, etc. made it so that Hikari had to overhaul a significant portion of this that I could not do and then the remainder is much more tedious than it should be - especially since I managed to fuck up a bit myself, but that's fixed now.

I legitimately have a reminder on my phone for 8pm every night titled "OST" and I've spent time I could on it, but I'm barely even able to go on skype/IRC or ladder for OLT over the past 3-4 days and the next week won't be much better. After that, it will get done.

The only time I really "procrastinated" this when I had the ability to get it done was the middle of July and that was the week before I had vacation and the week after my team got eliminated from WCOP, so I didn't have much interest in doing anything Pokemon related, so I suppose I am sorry for that week, but overall, it'll still get done, but it'll happen at my pace and that's just about all I can say.

edit: I feel actually quite bad now. My college schedule is mobbing me activity wise so I don't know when I will get to this. I still have the reminder on my phone, but every night I am occupied. Will do it "when I can" but at this point I feel bad.

So this is finally done.

And your winner is.... Genesis7 with 1329 points. Congratulations on winning the prediction tour, Genesis.

Rounding out the top 5 is: trc with 1271, Sugar K Leonard with 1266, Altina with 2161, and @genos with 1258.
Others in the 1200+ club include: Anty with 1230, Bughouse with 1249, Chill Shadow with 1211, Doctor_DraX with 1229, Finchinator with 1202 (when you host the tour and forget to submit your response for the last 4 rounds oops), FlamingVictini with 1213, majaspic22 with 1223, and Welli0u with 1209.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16p0x_sAg1qC0MSbRGtYaJryHk0Ih-VRD-aADVn4b9I0/edit#gid=0 - here are the final standings and I believe this is publicly viewable.

Thanks to Isa for hosting the tournament very well despite all of the spooky behavior, FireMage for starting this out before irl matters took over (hope all's going well bud), Hikari for helping progress things in an incredibly efficient fashion, Rare Poison for doing a portion of the work leftover near the end that took up plenty of time and effort, anyone who contributed who I have forgotten (genuinely sorry if this is the case for anyone, but I think I got everyone), and everyone who participated!

Obviously, this was not done in the most timely fashion. I would like to publicly apologize for this being prolonged to the extent that it was. I actively thought of and spent periods of time on the progression of this behind the scenes, but it was hard to string together periods of time to make significant, consistent progress due to my personal life and simply the fashion in which I approached this. These results should have been up and publicized weeks, if not months, ago and although I lacked excel knowledge and all of the necessary documents for a significant period of time, I should have taken initiative sooner and handled things in a different fashion. Vacation, college starting, and other priorities for me have taken up a lot of my time, but there's no excuse for this being prolonged roughly 4 months longer than it should have been.
