The Mamoswine Doppelganger of NU

Overview:
########
- Great attack, defense and HP stat.
- Has coverage against most of its weaknesses
- A great ability, Thick Fat at it’s hand
- Low SpD and weaknesses to common types such as water and fighting hold it back
- Lacks a solid recovery
- Scared of Knock off because it heavily relies on Eviolite
- Has a lack of reliable recovery
- Very low speed

Stealth Rock Lead
########

Name: Stealth Rock Lead
Move 1: Stealth Rock
Move 2: Earthquake
Move 3: Icicle Spear / Icicle Crash
Move 4: Ice Shard
Ability: Thick Fat
Item: Eviolite
252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Nature: Adamant

Moves:
========

- Stealth Rock is used to nullify focus sash, get some chip damage, and help clean up late game
- Earthquake is a Strong STAB that can deal good damage to anything that it effects
- Icicle Spear can be useful to break through subs and Focus Sashes
- Icicle crash is a good move to get reasonably high damage on flying types
- Ice shard finishes off weak Pokemon that could be faster than Piloswine

Set Details:
========
- Thick Fat is used to nullify one of it's biggest weaknesses
- Eviolite is a great item to make it even more defensive

Usage Tips:
========
- Piloswine functions well as a tank, taking hits and dealing big damage with unresisted Ground / Ice moves.
- Ice Shard is a great utility when the opponent has grass and flying types, as it can 2HKO many of them
- Piloswine should never be used to take a hit by a knock off, as it relies on it's Eviolite.
- Piloswine has great matchups against many common leads, with the exception of Seismitoad.

Team Options
========

- Pokemon like Weezing and Gourgeist X/XL to have something to switch into Fighting type attacks
- Offensive sweepers, late-game cleaners and wallbreakers to take use of the Stealth Rock
- Mega Audino, as it can take the water/grass moves and support it with Wish and Heal Bell
- Pokemon with a water resistance or an immunity to water

Other Options:
########

- Oblivious to nullify Taunt
- Superpower for coverage over Ferroseed
- Freeze Dry is good for hitting Seismitoad and Mantine hard
- Choice Band
- Stone Edge can be used for coverage on certain threats but is otherwise uneeded.
- Knock Off
- Roar or Endeavor can be used in place of Ice Shard
- Toxic
- Curse if wanting Piloswine to be a set-up sweeper

Checks and Counters:
**Strong Water and Fighting Types** Pokemon such as Feraligatr, Sawk and Gurdurr can easily one or two hit KO pokemon
**Physically Bulky Pokemon** Seismitoad, Poliwrath and Gurdurr can easily wall a attack and OHKO or 2HKO Piloswine back.

Set
- Slash Icicle Spear with Icicle Crash instead of mentioning it in OO and mention in moves it can be used to break and hit through subs
- Remove the Brave nature, it's only useful if you have freeze dry which isn't in the set
- Explain why things like Thick Fat and Eviolite are used on the set instead of something else

Usage Tips
- You're really underselling the utility a priority ice move can have and make it seem Piloswine is completely useless if it doesn't set rocks, which isn't the case

Team Options
- Neither Ferroseed or Audino want to switch in on fighting moves and in Audino's case, very few physical moves. Mention Pokemon such as Spiritomb, Weezing and Gourgeist-S/XL instead
- Is offensive sweepers really the only thing that benefit from Stealth Rock support?

OO
- Mention Freeze Dry for hitting seismitoad/mantine hard

C&C
- Don't list individual pokemon here, also list things like strong water and fighting types.

Please also remove all the unnecessary line breaks you have at the moment. If you need an example look here.

Thanks, I made the changes.

Not QC, but I suggest adding Oblivious to Set Details or Other Options. It prevents Pilo from being Taunted when it tries to get rocks up. A nice feature when you are as slow as Piloswine. Probably Other Option will suffice.

Also, Set Details is inconsistent with your main spread above.

[Overview]
- The first line is completely filler. You should mention that Ground / Ice STAB gives it an advantage against the likes of Accelgor and SR Archeops
- Get rid of Oblivious since you don't mention it anywhere else. You can also put it in OO since it stops Taunt and leave it in the Overview
- Note that Gatr is is 2HKO'd by EQ and fails to OHKO Piloswine back, so it probably isn't good to mention it as a counter in the Overview.

[Set]
- Nothing wrong here, but you need to have a space before and after a slash. (Icicle Crash / Icicle Spear)

[Moves]
- You make it seem as if that's the /only/ thing Stealth Rock can do. Just say that it gets chip damage on lots of stuff and helps with cleaning late-game
- Note the Icicle Spear also breaks through sashes (which is useful because Piloswine is often going to be against something with a Sash 1v1)

[Usage Tips]
-This section is really shallow. Xatu is actually easy to take care of because you can Ice Shard on a predicted switch, and then proceed to take it out with another. You can also just use Icicle Crash and watch it die lol.
- Mention that Piloswine shouldn't be used to absorb Knock Offs; Ice is a horrible defensive type, but Evio mitigates it slightly so it's crucial to have it on Piloswine at all times if you want to use it as a tank after it sets up SR

The rest of the sections need some expansion, but i don't have any ideas for them.
Thank you, made the changes that you said.

Overview: Ice/Ground coverage is great against the tier in general; pretty much nothing resists both.
: Mention that its low Special Defense and common weaknesses to Water and Fighting hold it back.

Usage Tips: You can say that Piloswine functions like a tank, taking hits and dishing out big damage with its unresisted Ice/Ground coverage. Avoid super effective special attacks.

Counters: Revenge killers don't actually work fantastically against Piloswine, especially Swellow which Piloswine checks, while Typhlosion and Accelgor lose to a healthy Piloswine. Piloswine's main counters would be physically bulky Pokemon not weak to its attacks. Seismitoad, Poliwrath, Gurdurr, Granbull, Weezing, Pelipper, you name it.

Made all the changes that you said.

Also remove Rock Slide from OO; there is really no reason why it would want that, as the only notable targets would be Water / Flyings, which threaten Pilo with Water moves.

"- HP and SpD are used to almost guarantee a hit taken and Stealth Rock being set-up" So now that you aren't running random SpDef ev's , this should be Atk :]

how about adding stuff like "lead off and get up rocks" , "nice switch-in to vivillion as it can ohko with Icicile spear / Ice shard and is 3hko'd in return by Hurricane", to Usage tips;; just generally mention how you'd use it.

team options - don't just list physical walls, actually think about what goes well with it / pairs up well with its weaknesses. Also list audino, as it can take water/grass moves aimed at it and heal it back with wish / support it with healbell

Made those changes n_n

Pokemon like Weezing, Gourgeist-S/XL or Spiritomb to have something to switch into physical attacks
should be reworded to fighting-type attacks

although icicle spear has less reliable damage than icicle crash, it doesn't miss so in a way it's more reliable. on average it does similar damage to icicle crash anyways. it also demolishes substitute users such as mismagius, vivillon, and ninjask so i would slash it before icicle crash

knock off, stone edge, toxic, roar, endeavor, curse, choice band in oo

Went and made those changes.

x16bit, the mention of Accelgor and Archeops in the overview is weird. Piloswines competition is from other bulky setters, like Rhydon and Seismitoad. Its main niche is having more offensive presence and access to priority.

in the set details, the discussion of the EV spread isnt needed because its a simple 252 / 252 / 4.

in usage tips, mention that Piloswine has a good matchup vs most common leads, except for Seismitoad. ALso the Vivillon mention there is kinda weird, because it can just sleep Piloswine

ill look at this more in the future once i test piloswine more, because i havent used it in XY yet

Just a quick thing I noticed, when Raseri said they arent needed in the set details he didnt mean remove them from the set lol. Please put them back on the actual set.

not qc, just some suggestions

Mention in the Overview:

- It lacks reliable recovery, as you mention in Team Options Audino to support it with Wish.
- It has good coverage against its weaknesses (Can beat Fire-types thanks to Thick Fat and Earthquake, cripples Steel-types with Earthquake and Grass-types are dealt with by using Ice-moves)
- Good attack, defense and HP stat.

Why is the EV spread not listed on the set ?_?
^^ arrowing this, why is it missing? add it lol. probably something like 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD like you mention in the Set Details.

Moves:
- Small nitpick, but mention Icicle Spear first, then Icicle Crash, then Ice Shard (this way the moves has the same order as the set itself)

Usage Tips:
- Vivillon can Sleep Powder it and set up on it after :/ boosted Hurricane 2HKOes when at +1

Team Options:
- Preferably Pokemon with a water resistance, or even with an immunity to water (i.e Lanturn) as you mention it in C&C

This needs to be updated to ORAS standards, you have 24 hours to reply and 72 hours to update this thread or it will be reassigned.

Edit: This has little to no detail, in the update you need to seriously flesh out some points.

Ok, I'll update it.

EDIT: Actually, I don't have time for it anymore, give it to someone else. Sorry.
