Ooooooh Thundurus-Therain for me

Blue Haze (Thundurus-Therian) @ Leftovers / Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest / Timid Nature
- Agility / Nasty Plot
- Thunderbolt / Thunder
- Hidden Power Ice / Hidden Power Flying
- Focus Blast

Thundurus-Therian shares fantastic defensive synergy with Manaphy, drawing in all Electric-type attacks aimed at it and recovering HP, while resisting Grass-type attacks. Thundy-T's Agility set can handle faster threats, while Nasty Plot with Hidden Power Flying can deal with Grass-type Pokemon such as Mega Venusaur and Serperior. Thundurus-Therain can also easily deal with Ferrothorn using Focus Blast. If under Rain, Thundurus-Therain can also abuse Thunder, giving it immense wall-breaking power. Thundurus-Therain also resists common priority attacks such as Talonflame's Brave Bird, which can revenge Manaphy if it is low on health.

Banned deucer.

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Ice Punch
- Hammer Arm

Mega Metagross can have a lot of trouble with bulky pokemon such as Mega Sableye, Slowbro, Slowking and Hippowdon while Manaphy crushes all of these, or severly weakens them, while MegaGross beats Manaphy checks like Mega Venusaur, Ferrothorn, Serperior or Chansey.

Jae-Ha (Sceptile) (M) @ Sceptilite
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Focus Blast
- Protect / Earthquake
- Dragon Pulse
- Giga Drain / Energy Ball / Leaf Storm

Manaphy has problems with Electric-Types Sceptiles loves switching I on them. This set of Manaphy can't get my Ferrothorn HP Fire or Focus Blast Sceptile 2-hit OHKOes it. If Running Earthquake over Protect you can get pass Klekye and and Heatran . Sceptile can't get pass Heatran Manaphy Set up all over it. Sceptile also can't get pass CM Clefable Manaphy can begin to Set up on it. When the team is weaken enough Sceptile can clean up after Manaphy. This core does has it probleam though both still can't get pass bulky Grass-Types like Amoongus and Mega Venasaur but we do have other slots for that so no worry.

Reserving Kyurem-B. Will have it done within three hours.

Kyurem-Black @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 224 Atk / 32 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Outrage / Dragon Claw
- Fusion Bolt
- Ice Beam
- Earth Power / Iron Head / Hidden Power [Fire]

Choice scarf Kyurem-B pairs really well with TG/RD Manaphy, as these two pokemon possess good offensive and defensive synergy. Offensviely, Manaphy excels against balance and stall, while Kyu-B excels offensive teams with its speed and massive attack stat. The first three moveslots are pretty standard, but the final moveslot can be altered to fit the team's needs. Kyu-B's ability is also helpful offensively because it allows it to hit the likes of M-Venusaur and Rotom-W. From a defensive standpoint, Kyu-B tanks electric/grass attacks well for Manaphy and can either force a switch and/or return huge damage. Manaphy can take on Bullet Punch users like M-Meta and Scizor that would otherwise give Kyu-B trouble. Despite their synergy, the core can have some problems depending on the choice of Kyurem-B's last move (i.e. Ferrothorn if HP Fire isn't chosen or fairies if Iron Head isn't chosen).

Lopunny @ Lopunnite
Ability: Limber
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Return
- High Jump Kick
- Power-Up Punch

Here we are. Mlopunny makes a fantastic partner of Manaphy. While Manaphy threatens balance and stall, Lopunny is able to dismantle easly the offense. Priority are not that big issue bar Breloom. Manaphy and Mlopunny are a good core thanks to their ability to threaten every playstyle. Manaphy handels stall well thanks to hydratatio. + rd and thanks to the ability to 2hko Chansey and it doesn't care of common unaware such as Quagsire and Clefable. On the other hand the access to priority and his good speed coupled with hjk and return makes Lopunny a perfect mon that gives a lot of trouble to Offense.
In the end manaphy helps to remove mons such as Hippowdon and Slowbro that are a huge pain for a Lopunny sweep.

Reserving Torn-T, will be done in 15 minutes

Tornadus-Therian @ Life Orb
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 76 Atk / 216 SpA / 216 Spe
Naive Nature
- Hurricane
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Knock Off

Tail Glow + Rain Dance Manaphy Really struggles with allot of things such as bulky grass types, chansey, unaware clef, The Latis, And fast mons. Torn T Smacks allot of bulky grass types (it even 2HKO's Ferro after a little prior damage), Lures in Chansey and Knocks off its Eviolite, easily 2HKO's Unaware Clef, Bops the Latis with Knock Off and Breezes through common fast pokemon such as Gengar, Starmie, Gallade, Keldeo, The Latis and Lando-I. In return, Manaphy can deal with and set up on alot of Pokemon that Threaten Torn-T such as Diancie, Scarf Lando, Metagross, Scizor, Aerodactyl and Skarmory.

Tornadus also really appreciates the Rain that Manaphy can bring, As it gives it the no-miss hurricane its always dreamed of, and makes it allot harder to switch into. And in return Manaphy Appreciates Torns ability to act as a fast pivot with U-Turn, as this gives Manaphy much more opportunitys to set up and be the threat it is.

Although the pair does struggle with electric types, they actually wear them down very quickly between each other, opening up opportunities for either mon to rip the opposing team to shreds.

(Also remember to update the OP DarkNostalgia )

Talonflame @ Sky Plate
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- Roost

Talonflame works extremely well with manaphy. Manaphy destroys balance and stall, while talonflame can dismantle offensive teams. Manaphy handles most of talonflame's threats such as rotom-w, hippowdon, and ttar. Talonflame can handle more offensive threats such as mega metagross, mega lopunny, and serperior. Talonflame also beats celebi and mega venusaur, who completely wall this manaphy set. Both pokemon have trouble with electric types, but after an SD talonflame can easily OHKO most of the relevant electric types with flare blitz. The most problematic pokemon i can see to these two is mega manectric since talonflame fails to outspeed it and mega mane can easily OHKO both talonflame and manaphy. Other than that, these two are a solid combination and they work together well against any playstyle.

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 44 Atk / 16 Def / 200 SpD
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- Knock Off

Bulky SD Scizor appreciates bulky water-types and pokemon such as hippowdon and mega sableye removed, while also being able to set up all over pokemon that manaphy has trouble with such as amoonguss, venusaur (if lacking HP fire), and ferrothorn. The two also have decent synergy together, with manaphy resisting scizor's 4x fire weakness and scizor 4x resisting manaphy's grass weakness.

Bisharp (M) @ Lum Berry / Black Glasses / Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sucker Punch
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance / Pursuit

As Manaphy breaks through stall, Bisharp on the other hand is troublesome for offensive teams thanks to its access to Sucker Punch. Bisharp screws Unaware Clefable over while removing Chansey's Eviolite through Knock Off. Bisharp can also check the Lati twins and can potentially play Sucker Punch / Pursuit mindgames, while being able to grab a free Defiant boost on the switch-in if you somehow predict the Defog. Bisharp can also check Starmie and non-Baton Pass variants of Celebi. Now, Bisharp's usual checks are Heatran and bulky ground-types such as Gliscor, Landorus-T, and Hippowdon. Fortunately, they are all taken down by Manaphy. In addition, Manaphy can check many water-types such as (Mega) Slowbro, Seismitoad, Quagsire, Mega Swampert, Suicune, Alomomola, Crawdaunt, and to some extent - Rotom-W and Keldeo, able to secure a safe sweep for Bisharp without risking a burn from Scald. Manaphy can also beat Mega Sableye. In some cases, Manaphy can also troll sand teams by removing their sandstorm weather and sometimes finish off their Excadrill (although, you can't directly switch in to opposing excadrill). Manaphy can even win 1v1 against Mega Diancie too. However, Bisharp shouldn't rely on the Fire-type nerf he gets from Manaphy's Rain Dance though, as he's too frail to abuse it.

It should be noted that certain Fighting-types such as Mega Lopunny, Breloom, and Chesnaught trouble the core as well as Ferrothorn, so you'd require team support for those.

Time for most cancourous partner Manaphy could possibly have. Thats right Gothitelle

Checkmate (Gothitelle) (F) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Shadow Tag
EVs: 116 HP / 252 SpA / 140 Spe
IVs: 0 Attack
Modest Nature
- Trick
- Psychic
- Hidden power Fire/Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt/Shadow ball

Gothitelle the universially hated bane of Stall and balance whom when paired with manaphy pretty much demolish's the majority of defensive builds we see today By dealing with each others checks and enabling the other to do its Job. Manaphy destroys chansey, Sableye, Doublade, Rotom W, Defensive scizor and Lando as well as most darks (Especially T-Tar) which gothitelle can not power past. In return Goth Snipes Grass types like venusaur, Amonguss and Ferrothorn along with Unaware clefable and Slowking whom would otherwise stop Manaphy cold. Goth can also revenge offensive threats like Lopunny and Keldeo thanks to her decent bulk In addition depending on which move you select goth can also take out bulky psychics. Pretty much anything stall has currently short of mega latias and Celebi lose to the pair and assuming you have a way to deal with hazards Stall should be little issue to Goth and manaphy.

Thats not to say the pair are without flaws. Both can be destroyed by faster threats from Hyper offense teams such as manetric and stall as mention has 2 workable checks but Assuming you cover those threats and support both mons Expect good results each time. Volt Turn works great with both

Manaphy already has a good matchup vs fat and stall teams but this mon takes it to a whole new lv.

Heracross-Mega @heracrossite
Ability: Skill link
Evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 speed
Adamant Nature
-Swords Dance
-Close Combat
-Rock Blast
-Pin Missle

heracross makes for a fantastic partner with manaphy voce offensively and surprisingly defensively. Heracross destroys stall as well as beats mons mama could have trouble with if it is missing a certain coverage move. heracross also has that massive attack stat slowing both to tear stall to shreads. Hera also resists several if not all of manas weakneses. On mobile so no pick.

Alakazam @ Alakazite
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Encore / Substitute

So Rain Dance + Tail Glow Manaphy makes an excellent status absorber that can steamroll its way through slower, passive teams, but struggles with fast paced offense. Mega Alakazam is pretty much as fast as they come and even provides a buffer against weather sweepers thanks to the ability Trace. Basically, Manaphy can take down stuff like Clefable which can be annoying for Alakazam to deal with when it's at full HP, and Alakazam provides a really nice buffer against offensive teams. Both suffer a bit against priority, particularly Thundurus, but in general cover a wide range of threats from offense to defense. Also, Alakazam can break past bulky Grass types that wall Manaphy such as Mega Venusaur, Celebi, and Ferrothorn while Manaphy deals with the blob that is Chansey and weakens Assault Vest users and other bulky pokemon for Alakazam to clean up.

Altaria @ Altarianite
Ability: Cloud Nine
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Naughty/Lonely Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Return
- Fire Blast
- Roost

Typing-wise, the two pokemon synergies really well. Manaphy is weak to grass and electricity, and Mega alt can check most if not all relevant electric/grass type pokemon in the current meta game. Rain Dance + Tail Glow Manaphy has trouble against fast offensive teams, which mega alt can destroy after one dd. Manaphy can help M-alt by breaking down checks like unaware clefable and chansey. Manaphy moreover give offensive pressure to fire types like talonflame and heatran. I run Fire blast because, if it hits, I can get surprise KOs on ferrothorn and scizor on the switch in, and I have manaphy for heatran anyways.

I am extending entries until Saturday (1 and a third days after I post this, approximately), because I've been pretty busy.

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
Evs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 Spe
Impish or Lax Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
-Fire Blast

This can be use for a perfect switch-in for any bullet punchers or most physical attackers in general all with walling landorus-T. You can easily get up rocks against certain physical attackers and D-tail there switch in for it unless it's a fairy type. Along with the EQ that can OHK any heatran the fire blast will keep Scizor away along with FerroThorn and if that doesn't keep them away D-tail along with stealth rock damage put a number on them. I beat so many Physical attacking treats with this set and I didn't have to use a annoying tactic for it.

Huh? We're discussing Manaphy, not Diancie now. Sorry if I didn't make that clear (but I did :x) I'll update the OP.

Anubis (Lucario) @ Life Orb
Ability: Steadfast/Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Iron Tail/Bullet Punch
- Extreme Speed

Manaphy counters the 2 things lucario hates, ground and fire types, the rain that manaphy creates weakens fire, whilst manaphy's water type moves hit the ground types Luke hates. you may be thinking "But Boxed!!!!!!1111oneone What Does Lucario Do for Manaphy."

well person i dont know, lucario counters the walls manaphy hates, like ferrothorn, chansey, hell even the rare blissey. So they go together hand in hand.

Congratulations to Costi, bludz, and Repeater1947 for winning this round!
Explanations:

Lopunny+Manaphy is disgusting. Lopunny beats tons of Manaphy checks such as Latios and Ferrothorn, as well as the whole, entire balance playstyle, and Manaphy in turn demolishes stall and balance, and many Lopunny checks such as Slowbro and Hippowdon lose to Manaphy as well. Only issues I can see are bulky Grass-types such as Celebi and Mega Venusaur, and maybe less common stuff like Breloom and Chesnaught, but real solid duo.

Just like Lopunny, Mega Alakazam demolishes offense due to its high Speed; however, it struggles more against stall-oriented Pokemon such as Chansey and Sableye - which is where Manaphy comes in. Only issues are fast Pokemon such as Tornadus-T, and bulky Pokemon such as Ferrothorn (focus miss anyone), and stuff like Celebi which Shadow Ball can't break as easily are problems, but solid duo nonetheless.

A bit like Lopunny, Bisharp deals with offense decently due to Sucker Punch, and checks loads of stuff Manaphy hates such as Latios and Ferrothorn. Also HP Fire from Latios in rain is laughable rofl.

Honourable mentions to Mega Gallade, which, sadly, is pretty overrated and kind of struggles against offense. On an offensive standpoint it is decent though.

Our new test subject is something more underrated, but is still quite good nonetheless...

Week 3 - All-out Attacker Mega Pidgeot

Pidgeot @ Pidgeotite
Ability: Big Pecks
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Heat Wave
- Hyper Beam
- U-turn

Mega Pidgeot has a good Speed stat, allowing it to outpace many Pokemon such as Mega Metagross and Starmie, as well as a good Special Attack stat to work with. It has a good ability in No Guard as well, which makes its STAB Hurricanes 100% accurate. However, Pidgeot has a poor defensive typing, compounded by its weakness to Stealth Rock, and a lack of coverage moves leaves it walled by quite a bit of Pokemon.

e: i bet you're jealous i have the gif lol

Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
Ability: Teravolt
EVs: 32 HP / 252 SpA / 224 Spe
Mild Nature
- Ice Beam
- Fusion Bolt
- Earth Power
- Roost / Outrage

Mega Pidgeot's sub-par coverage has always made it seem like its only real niche over Tornadus-T was No Guard, and while it definitely is a big boon, it always wished it had Focus Blast - the lack of such left it especially vulnerable to Heatran and Rotom-W, the former of which is very common and the latter of which can Volt Switch out of your counter. Hyper Beam allevates this against Rotom-W, but it leaves you vulnerable the turn after.

Enter Kyurem-Black, capable of OHKO'ing the former (192+) and OHKO'ing the latter with some prior damage, as well as deterring any rock-types not named SpD Tyranitar from switching in. Outrage can be run to get past Chansey, which would otherwise be a huge pain to both of them - but Roost generally lets Kyu-B take hits better. Offensively, Mega Pidgeot eliminates Ferrothorn, Scizor, and beats non Ice Punch Mega Metagross 1v1 although doing so is not recommended.

However, the two are quite weak together defensively, as they don't cover much of each others weaknesses and both despise Stealth Rocks and don't appreciate priority, so hazard support along with something that can sponge priority would be appreciated.

Reserving Celebi lol
It's literally 3 AM what's sleep

Celebi @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 Spe
Bold Nature
- Recover
- Baton Pass
- Giga Drain
- Nasty Plot

Celebi provides Nasty Plot + Baton Pass support for Mega Pidgeot. At +2, Mega Pidgeot becomes a harbinger of death capable of sweeping through unprepared teams like butter. Celebi has decent type synergy with Mega Pidgeot, resisting Electric-type moves. Celebi is also a fantastic Rotom-Wash counter, resisting both of its main STAB moves and not caring about Will-O-Wisp thanks to Natural Cure. Celebi can also use Baton Pass against incoming threats, and it gives Mega Pidgeot the chance to switch in and fire off a free Hurricane. The 108 Speed EVs on Celebi are to outspeed Jolly Bisharp.

Unfortunately, this leaves the pairing extremely weak to Heatran, however, at +2, Mega Pidgeot's Hurricane is able to cleanly 2HKO offensive Air Balloon Heatran while being able to live a single Fire Blast in return.

Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 244 Atk / 12 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Freeze-Dry

Mamoswine makes a good partner for Mega-Pidgeot because it can handle a number of the pokemon that resist STAB Hurricane. The EV spread is standard, with maximum speed, enough special attack investment to 2HKO defensive Rotom-W and Slowbro after rocks, and the rest dumped into attack. I actually opted for a Hasty Nature over the usual Naive because I believe it makes Mamoswine a better partner to Mega-Pidgeot, but more on this later.

Mamoswine can OHKO or 2HKO a ton of pokemon that give M-Pidgeot trouble - Mega-Diancie, Heatran, Thundurus, Mega-Manectric, Rotom-W, Tyranitar, Mega-Aerodactyl, Raikou, etc. Looking at this list, most of them are special attackers, hence the Hasty nature, which actually lets Mamo beat M-Diancie in a 1v1 scenario if both are at full health. A strong STAB priority move in Ice Shard can also help Mamoswine clean up after Mega-Pidgeot has blown holes in a team. On the defensive side, Mamo is neutral to rocks, immune to electric attacks and has a resistance to ice attacks with Thick Fat, which also helps with Mamo's fire weakness. However, I will admit that the pair's defensive synergy can be troubled somewhat because Mamoswine is weak to steel type moves.

All in all, I think Mamoswine is a pretty good partner to Mega-Pidgeot from both a defensive and offensive perspective.

Hydreigon @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Rash Nature
- Superpower
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Flash Cannon

Hydreigon makes a cool partner because it takes on a lot of Mega Pidgeot's checks rather well. Rotom-W, Heatran, and TTar, to name a few, get demolished by Hydreigon's LO boosted attacks. In addition, stuff like Mega Diancie can't safely switch in on Drei as it gets OHKO'd by Flash Cannon. Hydreigon not fearing Bisharp is another plus, being able to clean knock it out while resisting its Sucker Punch. All in all, Drei is a cool wallbreaking partner to the wallbreaking bird, able to body whatever Pidgey U-turns out on. :]

Dugtrio@Focus sash
Hasty Nature (-Def, +Spe)
252Atk/252Spe
-Earthquake
-Reversal
-Memento/Toxic/Stone Edge/Substitute
-Stealth Rock/ Any of the filler moves above

Ok, so the primary switch ins to Pidgeot are going to be rock, steel and electric types: which all resist Pidgeot's STAB hurricane. Well, it just so happens that Dugtrio excels at trapping the aforementioned types, and removing them, so that Pidgeot can clean late game by spamming powerful hurricanes. Simply U-turn out when they bring in their TTar/Heatran etc. and go straight to Dugtrio and remove them.

The first 2 moves are fairly straightforward: Earthquake is STAB and Reversal Ohkoes Tyranitar when Dugtrio is at 1HP. Reversal also takes a chunk out of pokemon such as: Ferrothorn and Chansey.
The last 2 slots are up to you based on your team:
Memento helps another Pokemon setup when Dugtrio has done its job.
Toxic can cripple walls which Dugtrio can otherwise not touch (Slowbro etc.)
Stone Edge can attempt to hit Pokemon with levitate or who fly, but the damage output is a bit weak.
Substitute can Dugtrio beat Chansey, which is useful in aiding Pidgeot.

Last slot is for stealth rock, but if your team already has that you can replace it with another filler move.

SketchUp

Don't let your memes be dreams
Some of Pidgeot's best checks are Heatran, Rotom-W, Tyranitar, Raikou and Bisharp, so it is no surprise Dugtrio has already been listed as a good teammate. However, there are a few pokemon that also win a 1v1 situation against these pokemon:

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold/Relaxed Nature
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Toxic
- Recover

Because of Gastrodon's typing, it can easily switch into many electric and rock types. Being a ground type without an ice weakness gives you a lot of momentum which Pidgeot appreciates. Gastrodon is also immune to water, so it can switch into bulky water types such as Rotom-W and Slowking and toxic them to slowly wear them down. In return, Pidgeot helps with bulky grass types such as Celebi where Gastrodon has problems with. However, this core struggles with bulky setup sweepers like CM Clefable and (Mega) Gyarados, so a stop to these sweepers is needed for this core.

Calcs against the 5 mons I mentioned:
252 SpA Heatran Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Gastrodon: 116-137 (27.2 - 32.1%) -- 54.5% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Gastrodon Earthquake vs. 12 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 352-420 (107.9 - 128.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252 Atk Tyranitar Crunch vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gastrodon: 123-145 (28.8 - 34%) -- 99.3% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Gastrodon Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Tyranitar: 170-204 (49.8 - 59.8%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO

Rotom-W can only burn Gastrodon while Gastrodon recovers any damage. Gastrodon can Toxic Rotom-W and win 1v1

252 Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Gastrodon: 185-218 (43.4 - 51.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery.
You don't win 1v1 if Bisharp SDs on the switch, but you can recover up and LO Stall Bisharp out. If he goes for SD you can live a Knock Off and hit him with Earthquake (which will be a KO after Stealth Rock and 2 LO rounds)

252 SpA Raikou Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Gastrodon: 94-111 (22 - 26%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
0 Atk Gastrodon Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Raikou: 236-278 (73.5 - 86.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
