Primal Magikarp...?

Believe it or not, Primal Magikarp is actually not out of the question! Throughout the Pokemon Franchise, Magikarp has been known as the Weakest Pokemon Ever, as it cannot attack, and it is always being pushed aside by streams. However, as the series lore progressed, it eventually became implied that Magikarp became so powerless through millions of years of negative evolution. Since ORAS came the concept of "Primal De-Evolution", where certain Pokemon would go through the process of reversing millions of years of evolution. Because of this, Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre have de-evolved into their prehistoric, extremely-powerful forms. Well, many old PokeDex entries do imply that there was a stronger, prehistoric variant of Magikarp:

As you can see, the PokeDex Entries quote that "In The distant past, it was somewhat stronger than the horribly weak descendants that exist today."

Was Primal Magikarp the ruler of the ancient world? Is your stupid Magikarp waiting to devolve so it can wreck damage on humanity? Only time will tell!

8-BIT Luster

Completely Unviable
>somewhat
Doesn't mean it would be good considering that Magikarp is trash
"somewhat stronger" could mean that it's like Marill's power level, not Arceus.

Good Point. It definitely wouldn't be competitively viable.
If there actually was a Primal Magikarp, however, I would still use it, because the very concept is making me crack up.
