ZhengTann's pokemon:
Honchkrow – Gajeel (M)
Gajeel is rather different, compared to the rest of the lot - probably his dark instincts gave him a bit of a "lone wolf" attitude. Efficient in his ways, smart in his pose, Gajeel would have a hard time fitting in - except that the girls are incredibly forgiving, and while the guys wouldn't hesitate bringing on a throwdown (save for Elfman, who repaid his indifference with barely a shrug), they never keep past grudges. Its what drove Gajeel to approach Zheng after many days of stalking them - eating, living, fighting with the affectionate way only siblings might have had. He is no slouch either - holding his own even against Erza is no small feat in the family.
Having treasure-hunted a Dusk Stone, Gajeel spent some days learning how to learn the arts native to his species, guarded by Pantherlily in the progress. The transformation itself is painful, but having endured it, something seems... both more and less in him now. When Zheng found out about his sudden bursts of suppressed emotions, it can only be attributed to Gajeel's efforts. Seeing it as only the results of his evolution, Zheng did nothing else but allow him to discover this new path, mostly on his own.
What Zheng didn't know though, was that the lads have secretly form an agreement - to take turns watch over Gajeel whenever he had one of his bursts.

Salamence - Happy (M)
What is there to say about Happy, besides his namesake? When Natsu found the egg, he's very excited to have a younger brother who'd also be a Dragon. And so he went to great pains to help it hatch - asking Elfman to warm it up, sleeping with it every night, hugging it as everybody travel. It took a week for Natsu's wishes to come true, and Happy has been sticking around Natsu ever since. Even though Happy have no wishes to evolve, he would still stand up for Natsu (who's much stronger than him), simply because they're great partners. Happy is also the only one whom Natsu wouldn't pick a brawl with - which says a lot about their camaraderie.
With Zheng's retreat, Happy decided that he can't just rely on Natsu to protect him - he wants to be Natsu's comrade in battle. And to do that, he has to train evolve. He started by facing cooked fishes and refused to eat them, then eating only the bones and the scales. All those calcium and minerals actually helped him to grow that rigid exterior around his body, going so far as to cover his mouth so that he can barely eat. Still, he trained......
..... Until one day he broke out of the shell in another evolution. Then ate so much fish because he's hungry. And he still was - until Tanner bough a Salamencite to sate his energy hunger. Turns out, evolving while being hungry is not a good thing for Pokemon's, because that deprivation will haunt the rest of the evolution.
Nature: Mild (+1 Spa, -1 Def)
Type:
Dragon Type: Dragon STAB; -1 BAP on incoming neutral attacks Dragon itself would resist (e.g. -1 BAP on Thunderbolt against Salamence.) Unable to have Thrash or Outrage disrupted by oncoming damage.
Flying Type: Flying STAB; immunity to Ground attacks and the Arena Trap Ability except under the effects of Smack Down and Gravity, even for ground-based flying Pokemon. Will always hit foes with Dig (except other Flying types) and Dive. Cannot be hit by Dive unless the attacking Pokemon has a size class greater than four (4). Able to hit Pokemon in the evasive stage of Bounce, Fly or Sky Drop with single target moves that hit Pokemon on the field regardless of position.
Abilities:
Ability 1: Intimidate
Type: Trigger
When Happy initially goes out into the battlefield, his intimidating appearance shakes all opponents on the battlefield, reducing their Attack stage by one (1). The attack drop is maintained at the end of each round. If an opponent switches in a new Pokemon, Intimidate can be activated again as a Command, and will affect all opponents.
Ability 2: Moxie (Unlocked)
Type: Passive
Happy gets excited after it earns a KO on an opposing Pokemon, increasing its attack by one (1) stage. This boost is maintained at the end of each round.
Ability 3: Aerilate
By default, Happy's Normal-type moves are Flying-type moves, and have an additional two (2) BAP boost. When toggled, Happy's Normal-type attacks have been energized to increase BAP by two (2). Only Normal-typed moves changed by Aerilate receive this boost, and not all Flying-type moves. If a Pokemon has been skill-swapped multiple abilities that change Normal-type attacks, the attacks become dual-typed, but the BAP boosts of the abilities do not stack.

Jet - Ninjask (M)
His dream is to be fast. He became friends with everyone faster than Laxus, but he always felt... vulnerable. Hence the dream. He wanted to be fast, so that if trouble comes, it'll never catch him. So that when enemies come, they'll never know what hit them. So that when sorrow comes, he'll be long gone.
But for Levy, and for Droy, he'll slow down. Because he found that one thing he'll give up speed for - a team. And because of that, he learned to control his speed. Because some times, for friends to catch up with you, you'll have to move faster than ever before.
Nature: Adamant (+Atk; -SpA)

Abilities:

Ability 2: Infiltrator (Unlocked)

Issei Hyoudou, "Red Dragon Emperor" - Charizard (M)
Issei is a very, very perverted lecher. With a fetish for much bigger female Pokemons. Unfortunately, due to his small size, most Pokemons did not even acknowledge his existence - the first one to do so, a Tropius, struck him down with merciless, malicious intent. Which is how Rias found him. After Tanner and Rias helped him to recover, he regains his bluster, but underneath that harem ambition he professes all the time, his honest-to-goodness trait and his willingness to be stronger (and then own a harem) endears him to Rias' peerage as what some would call "The Fool".
Trying to grow and evolve faster, Issei inadvertently tapped into a strange power, a second voice in his head that sounds more like another entity than an alter ego. Calling himself "Ddraig", its mere presence allowed Issei to learn how to reach heights of power he previously thought impossible, although the price to pay is steep. Ddraig's own origins are mysterious - but cohabiting within Issei's body, they grew to believe in each other by necessity, and Issei grows to rely a lot on Ddraig's advice in things he keep to himself.
But it seems his training is not enough for him to keep up with the changes. Natsu taught him how to fight with emotions, and he took it to heart - channeling his lust into battle rage. But even that fails to help him - until he saw his weakness in not being able to protect someone dear to him. Until he saw the world being so unjust to him and a friend he made, simply because his foes are stronger. It was then when he was overcame by a new kind of strength, known beyond the Fourth Wall as "nakama power".
Nature: Lonely (+Atk, -Def) - an unabashed lecher

This has got to be one of the most ridiculous Gyms you've ever challenged. Usually you'd get the location from the League secretariat, waltz right in and challenge the Leader, but this time, you find yourself spending 2 weeks just to practice for the big day. Thank goodness it was all sponsored - you wouldn't be able to fork out the fees otherwise. You have clocked about 30 hours in the wind tunnels, twice the time doing cardio and strength workouts, and you pretty much climb to your bed each night sore and exhausted. But little by little you find yourself actually enjoying this, especially the practice jumps over the weekends.
The day finally came. You met Zac Tee, the head instructor, and along with your assigned instructor, the three of you checked your gears before loading up into a helicopter. As the pilot pulls the helicopter up and away, revealing the breathtaking vista, you rehearse the dive in your mind repeatedly, your hands gripping you Pokeballs, the lightweight backpack on your shoulders, flaps of skin under your arms. All too soon the helicopter slows down, and the pilot said that you have reached the thirteen thousand feet height. As your instructor holds the door open, Zac Tee leaned over and yelled in your ear,
"Right, you ready for this?"
You gave him the thumbs up, which he returned before bailing out of the helicopter, with you following suit.
Wind whistling in your ears, gravity making it seem like you left your stomach back inside the helicopter, before you opened your arms and legs wide, the glider suit extending fully to let the air resistance slow you down. Somehow, your Pokemons are already out of their Pokeballs, being right there beside you as you made your way towards Zac Tee's team. You remembered his words when he accepted your challenge,
"Alright then, you're in for one incredible ride of a lifetime!"

Mechanics:
- No seismic moves, no rock source, no water source, no plant source.
- Default is Clear Weather, and can only be changed to Sunny. Rain, Hail, Sandstorm and Fog are NOT allowed, even with respective Weather Rocks.
- "Pokemon capable of flight" are defined as Pokemon who either:
- are naturally Flying-type.
- naturally learn the move Fly (excluding event moves).
- use Transform or Imposter to fulfil any one of the above criteria.
- "Pokemon incapable of flight" are defined as Pokemon who do not fulfill any of the above criteria. Tactics that include Camouflage, Protean, Mimic, and the like will NOT exempt Pokemons from this category.
- This is a Sky Battle. However, Pokemon incapable of flight are allowed to battle at their own expense.
- A full list of prohibited moves during the Sky Battle can be found here.
- For the sake of a fair battle, both sides must remain in close enough vicinity that all moves will not be restricted by anything other than those already mentioned above. Eg. Your Pidgeot is not allowed to fly far away and evade Conkeldurr's Ice Punch unless your Pidgeot actually uses Fly.
- At the end of the third round of battle, both Trainers will land on the ground. For the sake of brevity, any active Pokemon incapable of flight will be automatically KO'ed as they plummet to the ground.
- Active Pokemon incapable of flight may only survive the above by:
- Having the Levitate ability.
- Being able to perform the Levitate Command (it would not be necessary to actually use the Levitate Command in battle).
- Spending 1 action every round using Telekinesis, Magnet Rise, or similar moves to slow their free fall.
- Note: Tactics that include Skill Swap, Role Play, and the like will NOT exempt Pokemons from this category.
- Having the Levitate ability.
- By the start of the fourth round of battle, the arena changes to Skydiving: Part Two.
- Camouflage turns the Pokemon into a Flying Type.
- Secret Power has 30% chance of lowering Evasion by one (1) stage.
- Nature Power calls Air Cutter.

Despite your concerns, you managed to touch down safely by the lake, the parachute falling to a heap as you unbuckle the straps and shrug off the harness. Your Pokemons seemed a little more worse for wear - the Sky Battle you just went through was not an everyday experience. However, it is not over yet.
Zac Tee jogged towards you, having similarly freed himself from his contraptions. You two stood apart, and he asked, "That was one heck of a ride, isn't it? Still planning on continuing the fight?"
You nodded, your feet back on solid ground.
"Then let's do it!"
