Unlike most Budews that are rather meek and happy-go-lucky, Manon clearly wants to become the very best and won't let an opportunity slip from her non-existent hands. Her whole persona is tinted with pride: pride in her own beauty, pride in her own potential, and of course she expects to be able to take pride in her teammates and Trainer... which makes my job a bit harder since she doesn't really forgive failure. Nonetheless, I handpicked this little Budew myself for her capabilities, and I will put up with whatever she can throw at me until she blooms and reaches full power.

Kévin's the textbook example of a shonen protagonist: a bit slow on the uptake, but extremely loyal. There's not much that can faze him and he remains placid in all circumstances, yet he still has a strong sense of responsibility towards the team, as he knows he has great potential. Everyone likes him, but the reason can vary -for example, Manon can order him around since he doesn't care much. His eternal calmness is probably for the best though, as whoever angers him will quickly learn that he has enormous reserves of fire to throw around...

Even though he isn't part of the Starting Trio, this Piplup didn't have any difficulty to blend into the team. His fierce yet cheery attitude is a very good (and very needed) middle ground between the girls, and he likes to relax near Kévin's heat source after a good workout. Kamina values the journey more than the destination, and will shrug at a defeat if he believes he improved his own capabilities in the match. On the contrary, he despises complacence and will get do anything to get the others (or even me) to train with him. He wants to reach the stars, and will go through anything it takes for that.

And finally, i ref, and so on.

Lets rock and roll!

I'll send Piplup @Exp Share.

I'll write flavor and add sprites a bit later, don't worry.

Colosshale @ EXP Share

Foul Play ~ Thunder Fang ~ Foul Play
Once: IF Bide THEN initiate string Toxic ~ Foul Play ~ Protect.
IF damaging Fighting-type attack THEN Protect the first instance, Fake Out the second, and Protect the third, pushing back.

Maybe I'm overusing my energy here on Protects, but I can't immediately see a way to abuse these subs.

Starting the match, Kamina charges at Lone Digger, swinging his wing with a blow powerful enough to Break through Bricks, only to be met with a swift Protective barrier, blocking the attack entirely at the cost of a considerable amount of energy.
Pushing the Piplup away, Lone decides to take the offense, tapping into Kamina's own power to inflict a devastating Foul Play, only to be met by a Scalding stream of water that....has no effect? Lone Drigger's Storm Drain ability allows him to completely nulify the attack and get a minor power up to boot!
Shocked, Kamina cant do anything as the much larger pokemon Fakes him Out, keeping the penguin in place as he flinches.

From the first round, Lone Digger has managed to get an important health advantage, at the cost of a fairly high amount of energy. Ordering first, can Kamina make use of this? Or will the HP disvantage prove to be too much?

Action 1

Protect - 12,7 energy

Brick Break - 6 energy
(8 + 1,5)*1,5 = 14,25 ''damage''

Action 2

Scald - 5 energy

+1 Sp.Atk for Colosshale!

Shame I can't make use of the SpAtk boost, but this is good enough for me.

Oh, and FYI, probably should've added a "nonconsecutive" clause to your first sub. Not that it matters here, but good practice.

Yeah, I'm still getting around writing more complex subs.
I don't really care as long as I get to write good flavor though.

Keeping up the offense, Quarrel makes use of Colosshale's superior speed for another hit, but before Lone Drigger's Foul Play manages to reach the Pipplup, he had already set another Protective barrier that, while warding off the damage, takes decent toll on his energy.
Not wanting to be outdone, Kamina aims a swift Brick Break, only to be met by Lone Drigger's Protect of his own. The following Thunder Fang from Lone hits it's mark, only to be met by a second Brick Break that manages to score a proper hit this time.

Lone Drigger's Rock Slide, despite scoring a solid hit, is unable to prevent Kamina's Wall Breaker combination from hitting it's mark, dealing massive damage to the Colosshale, who retaliated with a Foul Play to finish off the penguin Pokemon and provide Quarrel with the first blood

Still don't know whether saving the energy was worth it over just one-hitting with a combo. Regardless, your time's probably up, too, Colosshale, so let's see if we can tip the scales in our favour with a para.

IF damaging Grass-type combo AND you have at least 25 energy THEN Protect that action and Body Slam the next. Do this only once.
