Other Rate my FU Team!

Yep, you're reading this right. This isn't a UU or VGC RMT, like most of these threads are. This is an FU team! For people who don't know, FU is the OM of the Month, and is basically the tier beneath UU. You can learn all about it at Other Metagames area of Smogon, and I highly suggest playing it. Now that Sticky Webs and Machoke are gone, the meta's pretty stable. Without further ado, let's start the RMT. First, my
teambuilding process. I will only go into small detail because I'm doing analyses later.

To start off my team, I decided to pick the God of FU, Gogoat. This guy needed no explanation, his stats and movepool for FU are astounding and the after getting a couple Bulk Ups up it can be GG in certain cases. I find Gogoat on about every good team I've faced so far, so I need a counter for him. Enter...

Murkrow, oh my god. Brave Bird deals with Gogoats very well, and sucker punch is great at killing things that think I'm running the calm mind set. However, Murkrow and Gogoat are both vunerable to strong supereffective physical attacks, and I need a defensive powerhouse. Here comes...

Prinplup is extremely underrated in this meta. Sure he doesn't have reliable recovery, but he doesn't need to, he takes hits for days! Now, the last 3 I added on a whim because I've heard they were good, and a third I wanted to try out for myself. Here they are...

Now for the movesets and analyses:

Gender Confusion (Clefairy) (M) @ Eviolite
Ability: Magic Guard
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Calm Mind
- Soft-Boiled
- Fire Blast
- Moonblast

A bulky boosting pokemon with reliable recovery and a kick-ass movepool? Count me in! I used to have Heal Bell and I ran a bold nature, but I realized what I gained in bulk and utility I lacked in sheer strength. Fire Blast comes in handy for more things you can possibly imagine. However, the snake duo (Seviper and Arbok) and Metang give him a lot of grief, so they need to be gone for Clefairy to be used effectively. Also, since Clefairy can't boost his defenses, pokemon like Gogoat and Kingler can give him trouble if they get a Bulk Up or Swords Dance up, respectively. However, Clefairy's gigantic middle finger to status, his awesome movepool, and handy typing gives him a solid spot on my team.

Sidestep (Kingler) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Agility
- Knock Off
- Rock Slide
- Crabhammer

I honestly have no idea why you'd run any other set. I first decided to use Kingler because I needed someone on my team that knows Knock Off and I have never looked back. Sheer Force Life Orb Rock Slide is really lame, and deals massive damage at least to anything that doesn't resist it. Crabhammer for stab, Knock Off because fuck eviolite and Agility to create a sweep attempt if I have the opportunity too. Sadly, I don't get the chance to very much; thankfully Kingler isn't very slow in this meta at all. Like a lot of pokes in FU, however, this guy is completely walled by our buddy Gogoat, the most he can do is knock off whatever item Goat has and get wrecked by Leaf Blade or Horn Leech. That's what our buddy Murkrow is for.

xD (Murkrow) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Prankster
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- Sucker Punch
- Thunder Wave

I can't stop ranting to my friends about this set, it's really heartbreaking how powerful it is. Like I mentioned before, a lot of people assume this to be the Calm Mind set, so they decide to keep pokes like their Electabuzz in, only to pee their pants when Sucker Punch comes out instead of a Calm Mind. Thunder Wave is great to slow down pokemon faster than my Electabuzz. Roost is leftover from the Calm Mind set, and I'm open for new move suggestions. Tailwind, maybe?

Buzzard (Electabuzz) (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Static
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Volt Switch
- Focus Blast
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Choice Specs Electabuzz fucks everything up, and goes with the rest of my team very well.

Gogogogoat (Gogoat) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Milk Drink
- Bulk Up
- Horn Leech
- Earthquake

Not much to say here. He's Gogoat.

MoneyBags (Prinplup) (M) @ Eviolite
Ability: Torrent
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 204 Def / 52 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Stealth Rock
- Defog
- Toxic

The standard. I choose to run Toxic over the usual Yawn because Toxic is better against stall teams, which I struggle against.

I really want to rate this because it's FU and not a shitty team, but the thread is going to get locked until you expand the descriptions. Will rate once fixed

This team looks pretty solid! One thing i would consider looking into would be trying to find a way to deal with bulky poison types like swallot. nothing on your team can really handle it very well if caught in a bad situation like having it switch in on clefary. Also, Ebuzz is SUUUUPER common in FU, and you have three weaknesses to electric and only 2 resists, one of which is your own ebuzz. possibly consider Marshtomp over prinplup, because marshtomp ALSO takes hits for days, but at the cost of defogging. But other than that, it looks pretty good! good luck on the ladder! :)
