Revolved around Keldeo

Hey guys FTS here to show you my newest OU team that is doing pretty decent so far going 35-9. Lets take a look.

The team starts off with my MVP of the team Keldeo-Resolute

Keldeo-Resolute @ Expert Belt
Trait: Justified
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Icy Wind
- Secret Sword
- Calm Mind
Keldeo is my main star for this team, recently there has been a lot of talk about keldeo being the best OU pokemon so I decided to try him out for myself. Expert belt to break through walls better and to hit Latios and Latias harder with Icy wind. His EV spread is just standard and for his move pool Hydro Pump over Surf for the extra power because I myself take to risk of missing for alot more power. Secret sword for STAB, Calm mind to give Keldeo a boost whenever he can get a free one. And Icy wind is there over HP Ice because I like the speed drop given to Latias and Latios allowing me to out speed them the next turn. Depending on how much damage they've taken already from SR Hydro Pump can finish them off.

Scizor @ Choice Band
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- U-turn
- Pursuit
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
Scizor's main duty to this team is the use of Pursuit to clear the way for Keldeo. Most of Keldeo's counters can be taken out with scizor's pursuit. Choice Band Scizor is an absolute terror in the OU tier and can be a very good last chance sweeper with Bullet Punch. This scizor set up is pretty cut and dry and most should know why I chose the set.

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 232 Def / 24 Spd
Bold Nature
- Spikes
- Brave Bird
- Whirlwind
- Roost
Skarmory plays an important role on this team. He works well with most of my team and he can get rid of set up sweepers with Whirlwind. His EV's are standard I just prefer him to have a little more speed and to be physically defensive instead of being balanced in defense. I also use Brave bird for pokemon that expect taunt to completely cripple me and for Espeon on the switch.

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 172 SDef / 84 Def
Calm Nature
- Earth Power
- Scald
- Recover
- Toxic
Honestly Gastrodon isn't needed on this team and I am up for other suggestions but what he does do though is check keldeo which was a huge problem for this team originally before he was on it. Gastrodon also checks any type of Rotom W set which also proves to be a problem for this team. His EV set and move set is Smogon standard so no explanation really needed.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Superpower
- U-turn
Every team needs a choice scarfed pokemon and Lando-T is the perfect fit for this team. He has great power and a great move pool also so he was my immediate choice. How he fits on the team well he covers most of heatrans weaknesses and helps the team out with Thundurus-T being able to absorb any electric type move and surprise it with the scarf and OHKO it with stone edge. He is the scarf sweeper for this team and he does a heck of a good job at it.

Heatran has a secured spot on this team as my special wall. He also checks alot of threats that this team went through before he was on it especially volcarona which ran right through the team. He helps the team by setting out rocks, occasionally giving out burns with lava plume and toxic stalling pokemon he can. I also gave him protect to scout a little bit see if I can catch a scarfed pokemon overpredicting and thus having him being able to stay in.
Heatran @ Leftovers
Trait:Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Protect
- Toxic
Okay guys there's the squad hope you guys like it. Remember I am exceptionally good at battling but when it comes to team building I want to get better so tips would be nice!

Hello there. I don't have much time right now, but I wanted to point out that offensive Volcarona with Giga Drain will wreck this team, as well as Sawsbuck, if your Heatran is gone. Keldeo becomes useless in Sun, which is why I strongly reccomend Politoed over Gastrodon. It's not doing much right now, and Politoed can easily change the game to your advantage.

Politoed w Chesto Berry
Bold, 252 HP, 200 Def, 56 SDef
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Toxic
- Rest

Hope I helped!

- Lampent

Specs Keldeo with Secret Sword 2HKOs Gastrodon every time. I'd replace it with a SpDef Jellicent, as that will wall any Keldeo providing it isn't running HP Electric (Which i've never seen). Jelli also provides burn support, which is nice on your squad as Scizor can hurt you too.

Hey there,

Nice team you have here, It looks pretty solid, however, I do notice that Skarmory Offense or hazards stack in general is pretty annoying for your team; with a good defensive core of Heatran, Gastrodon and Skarmory, naturally you would be doing a lot of swtiching to counter the opponents pokemon and keep the opponents offensive pressure down. So I recomend a Forretress > Skarmory as Forretress will still be able to get Spikes up with advantage of being able to spin. You should be able to check physical threats such as Terrakion and Dragonite with Landorus-T.

Now, the Keldeo set you're running really loves hazards, however, you have no spinblocker to keep those hazards up. So I am going to suggest Jellicent > Gastrodon as it still does the same job as Gastrodon but you will be able to stop the the opponents attemp to spin hazards away.

I notice that you said you used Scizor for the job of Pursuiting threats for Keldeo. I would suggest using trying Tyranitar > Scizor as it is 10x better at the job of Pursuit trapping. Also you will have a more solid way of killing Jellicent which is one of Keldeo's biggest counters. You will also have a better way of checking Lati@s without having to worry about HP fire.

Forretress (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 248 HP / 176 Def / 84 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Volt Switch
- Gyro Ball

593.gif

Jellicent (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Def / 44 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Scald
- Recover
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp

Tyranitar.gif

Tyranitar (F) @ Choice Band
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Atk / 100 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Stone Edge
- Superpower

Anyway, nice team. Hope I helped!

Hey there.
It is a very interesting team you have there, I can't really rate your team because it seems correct to me, but I see weaknesses, 1 st I noticed that you are weak to Keldeo Spec, I don't agree to put Jellicent because you will be weak to Rotom-W @ Volt switch, but I can suggest a Pokemon more resistant, I suggest you swap Gastrodon with Quagsire Water Absorb, Quagsire is better than Gastrodon in your team because he's 3HKO by Secret sword of Keldeo Spec and it is immune to Hydropump (252 SpA Choice Specs Kyurem Secret Sword vs. 252 HP / 252 + Def Quagsire: 166-196 (42.13 - 49.74%) - guaranteed 3HKO)
You can more easily come upon him with Quagsire then you can always counter Rotom-W and having a check for the rains teams.

Now I notice a small weakness to Breloom SD, it can sleep Skarmory and do serious damages if skarmory sleeps 3 rounds, especially the sub puncher who can use Substitute before using spore, you'll be very disadvantaged if the opponent asleep Skarmory, I don't see any change to counter Breloom because your team is already solid, but I'll suggest you to put Sleep Talk over WhirlWind on Skarmory, WhirlWind is not very important in your team because youre playing Balanced and you hasnt anti Spinner, while with Sleep talk you can come directly to Breloom and kill him with a few chances (Brave Bird), it is more effective and less dangerous.

Then I suggest you take this spread for Landorus-T "136 HP/252 Atk/120 Speed" with this spread you can come more easily on physicals sweepers as Terrakion/Garchomp /Dragonite and you can still outspeed important pokemon as Dragonite/Gyarados after a Dragon dance, Lucario, Alakazam ect ...

Quagsire (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Scald
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Toxic

I hope I Helped and Good Luck with your team.
