Rock, Paper, Scizor!

Alright sup so I decided to test around with this team and there is a pretty big weakness that a noticed right of the bat. That being your lack of a reliable check to Talonflame. This of course means that you should probably add a decently bulky electric type to check i.e mega-amph mega-manetric raikou thundurus etc. As I tested your team though it seemed that this team has a pretty obvious weak link so I decided pretty quickly the in my opinion you should change Deo-S for Thundurus-I. I guess I do not really see a need for Deo-S though it is a great revenge killer I don't really think it fits on this team. You can already hit Mega-Venu for a shit ton with both Latios and Landorus + Mega Scizor checks the ghost types mentioned in your description for Deo-S. You can use pretty much any Thundurus set but I guess I would recommend Life Orb 3atks twave. I hope you found this pretty quick rate helpful if not can you please tell me what else Deo-S is for possible. :]

Good evening Fleurdyleurse, I am here to rate your team. I'll start by saying that you have a nice synergetic offensive core. I would recommend a few changes in sets though. Going to work from the bottom up so I can rate fresh from my mind. What does your current Deoxys-S spread accomplish vs 20 atk 252 spatk and 236 speed? That's the optimal spread. I would also go Low Kick > Superpower. You still ohko Tyranitar and not having a drop in def can save you in some cases. You still 2hko Heatran and all the basic calculations. Only thing you miss out on hitting for a little chip damage is mega scizor, but that beats you anyway. How is Memento working on Latios? Seems like a neat little tech. If it starts to not work, I'd swap it out for Thunderbolt or EQ. Nice Azumarill spread as well. Glad more people are starting to realize that a little hp bulk vs just max/max is better to take a few hits. Also, you have jolly Breloom listed in your importable but adamant listed in description. I'd run jolly though. As the poster above stated, you do have a huge Talonflame weakness. Most teams do though. However, I feel maybe dropping Landorus for Thundy orb t-wave +3 attacks and possibly moving rocks onto Deoxys over Knock Off could work.

Strong team though, best of luck. I enjoyed your deo sharp team awhile ago and good things will come from this one as well.

Thanks Drugs and Based! Thundurus>Deo-S seems like a sound change, as I already have Mega-Venu checks and counters and other stuff that Based mentioned.
Landorus is really too important and powerful to drop.

Thanks!

I would change Scizor's stats a bit you should put it's EV's in Def not Special defence as you have little in the way of a good defensive pokemon. This will mean things like scarfed Lando T cannot damage your team as much as you have a safe switch into it. Also another potential problem with your team could be the lack of a fire move maybe you could switch out memento on Latios for HP fire it's up to you but it's just a consideration. Alternatively you could switch out Landorus for Heatran, this way you could have a better stealth rock setter while having a fire move and earth power giving your team better coverage and an additional specially defensive pokemon.

These are only my ideas, maybe you should just keep the nice attacking core you have as it is already a nice team :)

I just realized that you're alyssathegreat :O, Bisharp Knives, your team pushed me from 1200, Thank You :).
Anyway,
I have to test this team as i can see no apparent flaws.
Looks solid, although I feel like you need a ghost resist.
If an aegislash somehow got setup after scizor perished it could be problematic.

Sorry this is late!

Okay, First off, I see a pretty big Greninja weakness. Now I know what your thinking, "what about Azumarill?" Well, to put it simply, Belly Drum Azumarill isn't a good Greninja counter. You want to preserve Azumarill for late game, so any prior damage is detrimental. Once Azumarill is gone and Brelooms sash is broken, greninja can sweep pretty easily, unless of course you catch Greninja with breloom while he's a dark / ice type. There's two options to fix this problem: either Give Azumarill a Choice Band or Change Scizors EV Spread.

The first option is pretty straightforward, giving Azumarill a bunch of power and changing its play style. The second option makes Scizor a permanent Counter to Greninja. Your EV Spread atm can't withstand a LO Greninja Hydro Pump, but a ev spread of 232 HP / 252 SDef / 24 Atk with a careful nature, can.

252 SpA Life Orb Greninja Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 216 SpD Mega Scizor: 164-192 (47.6 - 55.8%) -- 82.8% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Greninja Hydro Pump vs. 232 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Scizor: 142-169 (41.8 - 49.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

And now for a minor nitpick: Thundurus: Taunt > Psychic Scizor beats mega Venasaur, and taunt is waaaay better

Ok, so your team still seems to have a problem with talonflame. While thundy is gud, it gets worn down to quickly to be an effective check. To fix the problem, and help your team; I suggest Making Garchomp use the "Tank" Variant
TankChomp is one of the best talonflame counters out there, and Better on a bulky offensive team like yours. It also where down the team quite quickly, and you can leave the speedy dragon job to Latios.

Garchomp_XY.gif

Garchomp @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 HP / 252 Def
Lax Nature
- Dragon Tail
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Fire Blast

Hope this helped!
Good day to you sir~

responsesss:
scizor's ev spread: yah k that's fine
thundurus nononononono. psychic on thundurus has done me very well and mega scizor doesn't deal w/ venu especially when there's the risk of it having hp fire
garchomp stuff: i feel that thundy deals w/ talonflame well enough. furthermore, it's not like talonflame can ever switch in.

One big weakness that really bothers me about this team is that the entire team is walled by a simple venutran core, which although is more or less obsolete nowadays, still does exist on the ladder, and still is somewhat ok. One thing you can do to solve this is run eq over memento on latios. I realize memento gives you a ton of utility against offense, but you need the hit on heatran more to help out with stall, especially because you're trying to sweep with scizor.

Also, every pokemon on this team either can't switch into or is outsped and burned by bulky wisp char-x (and thundurus can't really touch it), so keep an eye out for that.

Ironically, the only thing on this team to really stop opposing mega scizor (aside from healthy chomp, which seems to be a lead so i don't think it'll stay healthy) is your own mega scizor. You may really giggle at this one, but you may actually want to try out incinerate on thundurus. Helps beat ferro, scizor, and other steel types a tad easier, but its mostly just killing scizor that's the point here. You can also go with what Air said and use bulky chomp, which fixes the talonflame weakness a little bit too.

Hi Srn, thanks so much! I'm fine with the change on Latios. Mega Scizor finds it very hard to switch in most of the time, so I don't feel that the change is necessary. Thanks!
