[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-C possesses a great offensive typing that allows it to deal with the numerous Water-type Pokemon in the tier. This is further aided by its good Special Attack and all-around good bulk. It faces competition from other Electric-types in the tier such as Rotom-H and Heliolisk, but it stands out due to its unique typing and its Grass-type STAB move that allows it to beat Ground-types more easily. However, it doesn't have a way to effectively deal with opposing Grass-types and lacks reliable recovery. Regardless, it's still very effective as a revenge killer or pivot in the tier.

Moves
========

Volt Switch maintains momentum for the team. Leaf Storm hits ridiculously hard when coupled with the boost from Choice Specs. Thunderbolt provides a good and reliable Electric-type STAB move alongside Volt Switch. Hidden Power Ice can be used to hit opposing Grass-types and Dragon-types such as Hydreigon, which resist Rotom-C's STAB combination. Will-O-Wisp is a valid choice for this slot, but it's risky to be locked into such a move, so it's mainly used after Rotom-C has Tricked away its Choice Specs. Trick is used to cripple dedicated special walls such as Blissey that like to switch into Rotom-C.

Set Details
========

Choice Specs is used to boost Rotom-C's already good Special Attack, making it a fearsome offensive pivot. Maximum EVs are invested into Special Attack and Speed so Rotom-C can hit as hard and fast as possible. Timid is the preferred nature to outspeed threats such as Nidoking, Chandelure, and Mamoswine, which can OHKO Rotom-C with their respective STAB moves. However, you can opt for a Modest nature if you would like the extra boost in power.

Usage Tips
========

This set is based around Rotom-C being a very hard-hitting offensive pivot. It should make use of its ability to take Water- and Ground-type moves easily to switch in. It has to watch out for Ice Beam on Water-types, though. Go for Volt Switch if there are dedicated special walls ready to switch in so as to keep momentum on your side. Tricking away the Choice Specs to these walls is also an option should you not need the boost in power for the rest of the game. Leaf Storm should be used if you predict a Ground-type switching in to take a Volt Switch or Thunderbolt. However, do not be reckless with spamming Leaf Storm, as Rotom-C could become easy setup fodder if it's locked into it. The hit-and-run nature of this set somewhat alleviates that. If you decide to run Will-O-Wisp, avoid getting locked into it while still holding the Choice Specs.

Team Options
========

Rotom-C usually switches in and out numerous times as a pivot, so it'd be easily worn down by Stealth Rock. Hence entry hazard removal is very important. Entry hazard support is also good to have, as Rotom-C forces a significant number of switches. A notable partner for this is Tentacruel, resisting Ice-, Poison-, and Fire-type moves that Rotom-C is weak to. Rotom-C can't do much to dedicated special walls such as Florges and Blissey, so strong physical attackers, such as Darmanitan and Infernape, are appreciated. These Pokemon also provide a nice VoltTurn core with Rotom-C and appreciate having bulky Water- and Ground-type Pokemon such as Suicune and Gligar removed. Their ability to take out opposing Grass-types that resist Rotom-C's STAB combination, most notably Mega Sceptile due to Lightningrod, also helps. Cleaners, such as Life Orb Yanmega and Mega Sharpedo, make nice partners to finish up the game once Rotom-C has sufficiently weakened the opposing team.

Moves

Volt Switch comes in handy as a momentum grabber. Leaf Storm is used as a powerful Grass-type STAB move that hits Ground-types immune to Rotom-C's Electric-type moves. Thunderbolt is a more reliable STAB move that, unlike Leaf Storm, has no drawback. Trick cripples defensive Pokemon that tend to try to switch into Rotom-C. Will-O-Wisp can be run instead of Thunderbolt, mainly to be used after the Choice Scarf is Tricked away, to further cripple Pokemon that try to switch in.

Set Details
========

Maximum EVs are invested into Special Attack and Speed to make Rotom-C as fast as possible while still hitting reasonably hard. A Timid nature is optimal, as it allows Rotom-C to outspeed threats such as Mega Beedrill and Mega Aerodactyl. A Choice Scarf allows it to act as a good offensive pivot, easily grabbing momentum with Volt Switch while doubling as a strong revenge killer.

Usage Tips
========

The Choice Scarf set is mainly used as a revenge killer, so bring it in after one of your Pokemon has been knocked out. Make use of Rotom-C's nice set of resistances to net good opportunities to switch in . Volt Switch grants the most utility among its moves, doing decent damage while maintaining momentum should your opponent switch out. Thunderbolt can be used to clean up the opponent's team once it has been sufficiently weakened. Leaf Storm should be used on predicted Ground-type switch-ins, but minimize locking Rotom-C into it to avoid being setup fodder. Use Trick on predicted switches to cripple walls, provided you no longer require the Speed boost from the Choice Scarf.

Team Options
========

Entry hazard removal from Pokemon such as Mega Blastoise, Crobat, Donphan, and Tentacruel is important to prevent Rotom-C from being easily worn down by Stealth Rock. Additionally, Donphan can set up Stealth Rock and Tentacruel can set up Toxic Spikes. As a fast momentum grabber, Rotom-C appreciates VoltTurn partners such as Mienshao, Darmanitan, and Infernape. All of these can also break down the special walls that Rotom-C has trouble beating. Special wallbreakers such as Life Orb Hydreigon and Choice Specs Kyurem make for good teammates to make way for Rotom-C to clean up late-game.

Moves

Volt Switch is a solid STAB move that helps to maintain momentum for the team. Leaf Storm hits Ground-types, such as Swampert, which are immune to Volt Switch. Will-O-Wisp is a nice status move to cripple and wear down normally safe switch-ins to Rotom-C, such as Chesnaught. You can run Thunderbolt over Will-O-Wisp if you want a more reliable Electric-type STAB move. However, the utility that Will-O-Wisp offers benefits the use of this set to support the team better. Pain Split is used to regain some HP should Rotom-C get worn down.

Set Details
========

A Modest nature with maximum EVs invested into Special Attack is used to hit as hard as possible. 192 Speed EVs are run to outspeed up to Adamant Feraligatr, with the rest invested into HP to improve Rotom-C's overall bulk. Leftovers is used for passive recovery, as Pain Split is Rotom-C's only other way of recovering HP. Alternatively, Expert Belt can be run to bluff a Choice item. You can opt to run a spread of 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD if you'd appreciate the added bulk over the Speed. On the other hand, simply running a spread of 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe is also an option for better offensive capabilities while maintaining the freedom of being able to switch up moves. A fully defensive or specially defensive spread can also be used to take on certain threats better, but this role is normally better performed by Rotom-H due to its more suitable set of resistances.

Usage Tips
========

This set makes use of Rotom-C's good overall bulk to take hits well and, in return, dish out strong attacks. Use Volt Switch as often as possible to gain offensive momentum, as Ground-types that are immune to it either get crippled by Will-O-Wisp or hit hard by a super effective Leaf Storm. Will-O-Wisp should be used to get off residual damage on bulkier Pokemon that can't do much damage to Rotom-C. When Rotom-C is low on HP, use Pain Split against Pokemon that can't do much damage to it or on predicted switches to walls.

Team Options
========

Entry hazard control is appreciated, as Stealth Rock wears Rotom-C down easily. Some good Pokemon for the job are Crobat, Tentacruel, and Blastoise. However, it is not that much of a necessity, as Rotom-C can simply use Pain Split to regain some of its HP lost. Strong physical attackers, such as Mienshao, Machamp, Darmanitan, and Heracross, are good to help deal with Pokemon that can sponge special hits such as Blissey, Florges, and Snorlax. Darmanitan and Mienshao also provide a nice VoltTurn core with Rotom-C and appreciate having bulky Water-types such as Suicune and Swampert removed. Pokemon such as Darmanitan and Infernape help to remove Grass-types that resist Rotom-C's dual STAB combination, most notably Mega Sceptile, which is immune to Volt Switch.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Thunder Wave can be used to cripple faster switch-ins such as Hydreigon and Salamence. A dual screens set can make use of Rotom-C's set of resistances to find opportunities to set them up. RestTalk and ChestoRest sets can be used to increase longevity and shrug off status ailments.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Grass-types easily take Rotom-C's STAB moves, so it has to rely on Hidden Power Ice to hit them, if it carries it. Roserade and Amoonguss are great answers to Rotom-C, taking hits and threatening it out with Sludge Bomb.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types, such as Infernape, Darmanitan, and Entei, all threaten Rotom-C with their STAB moves, while Rotom-C can only Volt Switch out. Darmanitan and Infernape also have access to U-turn, which either will deal significant damage to Rotom-C or maintain momentum should it switch. Rotom-H, in particular, is a huge threat, resisting both of Rotom-C's STAB moves and threatening to OHKO with Overheat in return. Rotom-H can also choose to Volt Switch on predicted switches.

**Dragon-types**: Dragon-types can easily switch in on most of Rotom-C's moves and proceed to do major damage back. Salamence in particular can switch into a 4x resisted Leaf Storm and proceed to set up for free. Goodra also deserves a mention for resisting Volt Switch and Thunderbolt while being immune to Leaf Storm due to Sap Sipper.

**Dedicated Special Walls**: Rotom-C has trouble breaking through any of the special walls in the tier such as Blissey, Florges, and Umbreon. However, they have to be wary of Trick from Rotom-C.

**Revenge Killers**: Faster Pokemon such as Mienshao, Hydreigon, Infernape, and Darmanitan are major threats to Rotom-C, as they are able to outspeed it and do significant damage back. They also commonly carry a Choice Scarf, so they can even outspeed Choice Scarf variants of Rotom-C. U-turn from these Pokemon by itself would dent Rotom-C.

moving this into QC.

Would like some input on whether I should leave the Defensive/Specially Defensive set in OO, or make it it's own set. Haven't used that set much and not too sure of its viability.

Perhaps a more bulky offensive set is worth a mention as well?

Yeah a bulky offensive set with Leftovers and VS / LS / WoW / Pain Split as the moves should definitely be mentioned here, it's really good in the currnet metagame. EVs of 64 HP / 252 SpA / 192 Spe with a Modest nature to outspeed Adamant Gatr are probably the optimal EVs for this, but Sam I think simply uses max HP / max SpA. Would like to hear his opinions on it before it's added, Hikari as well cause he created the EV spread above.

Regarding a pure defensive/specially defensive spread, IMO just mention it in set details for the bulky offensive set. I think it's rather outclassed by Rotom-H in running a purely defensive set as its resistances are better suited to this metagame than Rotom-C's.

Hidden Power Ice should be mentioned as an option as it hits Dragon-types which easily absorb its STAB moves, while still hitting Grass-types.

Also just a nitpick but it's been written as Rotom-C in all past analyses so for consistency purposes I reckon you should replace all the "Rotom-Mow"s with "Rotom-C".

Ernesto edit: Lol I suck, I'd edited the thread name to Rotom-M instead of C x_x In my defense, it's because it was Mow instead of Cut, but I still suck

ok implemented a bulky offensive set, mentioned HP ice under moves for choice specs, and changed Rotom-Mow -> Rotom-C

Eh my EV spread was nothing especial. I just wanted to run Modest and didn't bother speed creeping Adamant Heracross, because I don't like relying on my opponent not running Jolly to not lose a Pokemon. The bulk is nice to take take some hits better, but 252 SAtk / 252 Spe works.

I'd mention that the Bulky Attacker can run Expert Belt over Lefties to bluff a Choice item. Although I haven't seen it this gen, that set was pretty good in BW.

Implemented the numerous possible EV spreads for the bulky attacker set, as well as the expert belt option for an item

Honestly, I think in the overview you're better off saying that it faces competition with Electric-types as a whole, rather than Rotom-H, especially since they both do different things.

Chesto Berry + Rest in OO, i'd think it would be better than RestTalk at least.

Other than that, this is good. QC 2/3

Sorry it took a while, but this is written up and ready for the last QC check.

Ok am QC check time...

Overview:

I would mention that is dual typing allows it to hit Ground-types that can specifically block Volt Switch and as such can scare them into not coming in fear of having to die to a STAB Leaf Storm. I would also mention that its access to Trick allows it to beat up on certain walls that do not appreciate losing their item / gaining a Choice item such as Snorlax, Forretress, etc. Also, I do agree it faces competition from other Electric-types, but mention that its Grass STAB allows it to beat Ground-types a lot easier and its typing coupled with its bulk makes it not weak to SR (unlike Rotom-H) and not frail like Heliolisk. Also state that it lacks reliable recovery outside of Pain Split.

Choice Specs

Moves:

I would just put HP Ice next to Tbolt in the third slot as most Steel-types in UU are hit just as hard if not harder by a STAB Thunderbolt.

Set Details:

I feel like Timid is necessary as Nidoking and Chandelure (and now Mamoswine) all outspeed otherwise and can hurt Rotom-C with a STAB Sludge Wave, STAB Fire Blast, or STAB Icicle Crash respectively.

Choice Scarf

Set Details:

Move the 4 Def EVs to SpD EVs to avoid Download boosts on Porygon2 and PorygonZ, even though it isn't common it is still worth it imo.

Bulky Attacker

Moves:

Mention that Pain Split can also wear down walls without reliable recovery such as Mega Aggron and Empoleon.

Team Options:

Mention that while hazard control is nice, it isn't as necessary on this particular set since Rotom-C has access to Pain Split. Also mention that this particular Rotom-C set appreciates clerics such as Florges and Umbreon since Rotom-C can cripple physical attackers for them and Florges and Umbreon can get rid of status for it.

Other Options

Elaborate on why Thunder Wave isn't used over Will-O-Wisp (something like Rotom-C appreciating physical attackers being crippled than crippling offensive mons), as well as saying why Dual Screens and Rest + Chesto Berry sets are not as good (Dual Screens means 4MSS for Rotom-C and Rest + Chesto Berry is good, but is only a one time heal.) Also put RestoChesto first as it is probably the most viable of the OOs.

Besides this, it looks solid. :)

Okay so I agree with some of NV's points and disagree with some. We talked it over on PS on why some were/were not valid, going to state the things that should be implemented here:
  • In Overview state that even though it does face competition, its Grass STAB allows it to beat Ground-types more easily than Helio and Rotom-H.
  • I would say remove the HP Fire slash completely, it doesn't hit anything except Magneton while HP Ice already hits Grass-types.
  • Timid primary slash on the Specs set for the reasons stated.
  • Move Def EVs to SpD.
  • State that hazard control is useful but not necessary for bulky attacker as Rotom-C can use Pain Split.
Don't implement anything else.

Here are a few changes I'm going to suggest. In the overview, you mention Rotom-C does its job well, but I don't believe you mention what that job is. I would mention entry hazard support for all three sets in Team Options, as Rotom-C forces a lot of switches. I would mention sweepers and cleaners in Team Options for the Choice Specs set, and wallbreakers in Team Options for the Choice Scarf set. On both the Choice Specs and Choice Scarf sets I would mention how prediction is key to fully utilizing Rotom-C, as it can either easily gain or lose momentum due to being locked into an unfavorable move. I would mention Bug-types and Poison-types in C&C, they're in the same boat as Fire-types, resisting Rotom-C's Grass-type attacks and hitting Rotom-C with a super effective STAB attack of their own.

In the beginning, I wouldn't really say Rotom-C faces competition... it's one of the most uniquely typed electric types in the tier.

Mention Infernape's/Darmanitan's access to U-turn, as you mention Rotom-H's Volt Switch opportunities.

Everything else looks pretty good. Assuming my fellow QC members agree, 3/3; heads up, feel free to go through your analysis for grammatical stuff now, cause I can already see that GP is gonna rip this to shreds, and if you get a head start you'll save yourself like 30 minutes.

thanks for the check, and thanks or the heads up. yeah I'll go through the grammar in a bit before sending this for the GP team to take a look.

am checkin

Rotom-C possesses a great offensive typing that allows it to deal with the numerous Water-type Pokemon in the tier. This is further aided by its good Special Attack and all around overall (I prefer this but all-around should work fine as well) bulk. It does faces competition from other Electric-types in the tier such as Rotom-H and Heliolisk, but it's one of the most uniquely typed ones it stands out due to its unique typing (feels less awkward). Its Grass-type STAB move does allow allows it to beat Ground-types more easily though. However, It also it doesn't have a way to effectively deal with opposing Grass-types and lacks or reliable recovery. Regardless, it's still very effective as a revenge killer or pivot in the tier.

Goodra also deserves a mention for resisting Volt Switch and Thunderbolt while being immune to Leaf Storm due to Sap Sipper.

**Dedicated Special Walls**: Rotom-C has trouble breaking through any of the special walls in the tier such as Blissey, Florges, (AC) and Umbreon. However, they have to be wary of Trick from Rotom-C.

**Revenge Killers**: Faster Pokemon, (AC) such as Mienshao, Hydreigon, Infernape, and Darmanitan, (AC) are all major threats to Rotom-C, (AC) as they are able to outspeed it and do significant damage back. These They also commonly carry a Choice Scarf so they can even outspeed scarfed variants of Rotom-C. U-turn from these Pokemon by itself would dent Rotom-C.

Mr. Uncompetitive, I kept the majority of your changes, but there were some important things you missed or incorrectly changed; I don't really have the time to go into greater detail now but feel free to PM me if you have questions!
as a basic list:
- know the difference between that/which
- "Faster Pokemon such as Mienshao and Hydreigon can outspeed and heavily damage Rotom-C" does not mean the same thing as "Faster Pokemon, such as Mienshao and Hydreigon, can outspeed and heavily damage Rotom-C", so be careful when adding commas around lists
- "switch-in" refers only to a Pokemon that commonly switches in on whatever, so think of "switch-in opportunities" as like, "wall opportunities" or "sweeper opportunities"... sounds kind of silly right? so "opportunities to switch in" > "switch-in opportunities"
- ", while" and "while" aren't equivalent either

that being said you're doing a lot of things right, so good job :)

[OVERVIEW]

Rotom-C possesses a great offensive typing that allows it to deal with the numerous Water-type Pokemon in the tier. This is further aided by its good Special Attack and all-around good bulk. It does faces competition from other Electric-types in the tier such as Rotom-H and Heliolisk, but it's one of the most uniquely typed ones it stands out due to its unique typing (feels less awkward). Its, and its Grass-type STAB move does allow allows it to beat Ground-types more easily though. However, It also it doesn't have a way to effectively deal with opposing Grass-types and lacks reliable recovery. Regardless, it's still very effective as a revenge killer or pivot in the tier.

Moves
========

Volt Switch is a good STAB move for Rotom-C that also maintains momentum for the team. Leaf Storm is used as a Grass-type STAB move, which hits ridiculously hard when coupled with the boost from Choice Specs. Thunderbolt provides a good and reliable Electric-type STAB move alongside Volt Switch. You can choose to run Hidden Power Ice can be used to hit opposing Grass-types and Dragon-types such as Hydreigon, which that resist its Rotom-C's dual STAB combination, as well as hitting Dragon-types such as Hydreigon. Will-O-Wisp is a valid choice for this slot, but it's risky to be locked into such a move, so it's mainly used after the Choice Specs is tricked away using Trick (This last clause feels really awkward but I'm not quite sure how to reword this) ("after Rotom-C has Tricked away its Choice Specs" is also fine). Trick is used to cripple dedicated special walls such as Blissey that like to switch into Rotom-C.

Set Details
========

A Choice Specs is used to boost Rotom-C's already good Special Attack, making it a fearsome offensive pivot. Maximum EVs are invested into Special Attack and Speed so Rotom-C can hit as hard and fast as possible. Timid is the preferred nature to outspeed threats such as Nidoking, Chandelure, and Mamoswine, which that can OHKO Rotom-C with their respective STAB moves. However, you can opt for a Modest nature if you would like the extra boost in power.

Usage Tips
========

This set is based around Rotom-C being a very hard-hitting offensive pivot. It should make use of its ability to take Water- and Ground-type moves easily to switch in. It has to watch out for Ice Beam on Water-types, (comma) though. Go for Volt Switch if there are dedicated special walls ready to switch in so as to keep momentum on your side. Tricking away the Choice Specs to these walls is also an option should you not need the boost in power for the rest of the game. Leaf Storm should be used if you predict a Ground-type switch-in to take a Volt Switch or Thunderbolt. However, do not be reckless with spamming Leaf Storm, (AC) as Rotom-C could become easy setup fodder if it's locked into it. The hit and run nature of this set somewhat alleviates that. If you decide to run Will-O-Wisp, avoid getting locked into it while still holding the Choice Specs.

Team Options
========

Rotom-C can't do much to dedicated special walls like Florges and Blissey, so strong physical attackers, (AC) such as Darmanitan and Infernape, (AC) are appreciated. The aforementioned also provide a nice VoltTurn core with Rotom-C, (RC) and appreciate having bulky Water- and Ground-type Pokemon such as Suicune and Gligar removed. Taking Being able to take out opposing Grass-types, most notably Mega Sceptile due to Lightningrod, that resists resist Rotom-C's STAB combination also helps. Cleaners, (AC) such as Life Orb Yanmega and Mega Sharpedo, (AC) make nice partners to finish up the game once Rotom-C has sufficiently weakened the opposing team.

Moves

Volt Switch comes in handy as a momentum grabber. Leaf Storm is used as a powerful Grass-type STAB move that hits Ground-types immune to its Rotom-C's Electric-type moves. Thunderbolt is a more reliable STAB move that, unlike Leaf Storm, has no drawback. Trick cripples defensive Pokemon that can easily sponge a hit, (RC) and so tend to try and to switch into Rotom-C (feels a bit more concise). Will-O-Wisp can be ran run instead of Thunderbolt, mainly to be used after the Choice Scarf is Tricked away, to further cripple Pokemon that try to switch in.

Set Details
========

Maximum EVs are invested into Special Attack and Speed to make Rotom-C as fast as possible while still hitting reasonably hard. A Timid nature is optimal, as it allows you Rotom-C to outspeed threats such as Mega Beedrill and Mega Aerodactyl. A Choice Scarf allows it to act as a good offensive pivot, easily grabbing momentum with Volt Switch, (AC) (yes but don't add the comma) while doubling as a strong revenge killer, (RC) easily grabbing momentum with Volt Switch.

Usage Tips
========

The Choice Scarf set is mainly used as a revenge killer, so bring it in after one of your Pokemon has been knocked out. Make use of Rotom-C's nice set of resistances to net good switch in switch-in ("switch in" is correct here. but "opportunities to switch in" is even better imo) opportunities. Volt Switch grants the most utility among its moves, doing decent damage while maintaining momentum should your opponent switch out. Thunderbolt can be used to clean up the opponent's team once it has been sufficiently weakened. Leaf Storm should be used on predicted Ground-type switch ins switch-ins, but minimize locking yourself Rotom-C into it to avoid being setup fodder. Use Trick on predicted switches to cripple walls, provided you no longer require the Speed from the Choice Scarf.

Team Options
========

Leaf Storm is there for a secondary STAB move and to hits Ground-types, such as Swampert, that which are immune to Volt Switch. Will-o-Wisp Will-O-Wisp is a nice status move to cripple and wear down usual normally safe switch ins switch-ins to Rotom-C, such as Chesnaught, that can take both its STAB moves well. (implied by "usual/normally safe") You can run Thunderbolt over Will-O-Wisp if you want a more reliable Electric-type STAB move. However, the utility that Will-O-Wisp offers benefits the use of this set to support the team better. Pain Split is used to regain some HP should Rotom-C get worn down.

Set Details
========

A Modest nature with maximum EVs invested into Special Attack investment are is used to hit as hard as possible. 192 Speed EVs are ran run to outspeed up to Adamant Feraligatr, with the rest invested into HP to improve Rotom-C's overall bulk. Leftovers is used for passive recovery, as Pain Split is its Rotom-C's only other way of recovering HP. Expert Belt can be ran run to bluff a Choice item on Rotom-C. A fully defensive or specially defensive spread can also be used to take on certain threats better, but this role is normally better performed by Rotom-H, (RC) due to its more suitable set of resistances.

Usage Tips
========

This set makes use of Rotom-C's good overall bulk to take hits well, (RC) and, (AC) in return, (AC) dish out strong atacks. Use Volt Switch as much often as possible to gain offensive momentum, as Ground-types that are immune to it either get crippled by Will-O-Wisp, (RC) or hit hard by a Super Effective super effective Leaf Storm. Will-O-Wisp should be used to get off residual damage on bulkier Pokemon that can't do much damage to Rotom-C. When you're Rotom-C is low on HP, use Pain Split against Pokemon that can't do much damage to it you, or on predicted switches into walls.

Team Options
========

Entry hazard control is appreciated, (AC) as Stealth Rock wears Rotom-C down easily. Some good ones Pokemon for the job are Crobat, Tentacruel, and Blastoise. However, it is not that much of a necessity, (AC) as Rotom-C can simply use Pain Split to regain some of its HP lost. Strong physical attackers, such as Mienshao, Machamp, Darmanitan, and Heracross, are good to help deal with Pokemon that can sponge special hits such as Blissey, Florges, and Snorlax that can sponge special hits. Good ones include Mienshao, Machamp, Darmanitan, and Heracross. Darmanitan and Mienshao also provide a nice VoltTurn core with Rotom-C, (RC) and appreciate having bulky Water-types like such as Suicune and Swampert removed. Checks and Counters

**Grass-types**: Grass-types easily take Rotom-C's STAB moves, so it has to rely on Hidden Power Ice to hit them, if it carries it. Roserade and Amoonguss are great answers to Rotom-C, taking hits and threatening it out with Sludge Bomb.

**Fire-types**: Fire-types, (AC) such as Infernape, Darmanitan, and Entei, (AC) all threaten Rotom-C with their STAB moves, while Rotom-C can only Volt Switch out. Darmanitan and Infernape also have access to U-turn, (comma) which will deal significant damage to Rotom-C, (RC) or maintain momentum should you it switch. Rotom-H, (AC) in particular, is a huge threat, resisting both of Rotom-C's STAB moves, (RC) and threatening to OHKO with Overheat in return.
