Introduction
Ok, ok, my puns are pretty terrible. Aside from that, hey guys, EonX- here and ready to bring an RMT that features one of my most successful RU teams. This team has undergone a fair bit of change as I made it early on when RU Beta first started about a month ago. Many things have changed since the start, including the banishment of Azelf, Kyurem, and Sableye. This team originally had Azelf, but when it left, I gravitated more toward Delphox as a reliable replacement. The team wasn't quite as good since it was more susceptible to Ground-types, but it still did really good work for me. However, the day came today (yesterday as I'm posting this) where not one, but two of its members got shoved up and out of RU Beta through usage stats. While I probably could make more adjustments, I just feel that would take it too far from what it was originally built around, and thus, I am going to go ahead and retire it with this RMT. Then again, don't be surprised if you see me using parts and pieces of it in future teams! Anyways, here you guys go:
The Team
Croaker (Toxicroak) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Gunk Shot
- Drain Punch
- Sucker Punch

Croaker (Toxicroak) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Gunk Shot
- Drain Punch
- Sucker Punch
Toxicroak was the team's physical sweeper of choice. Capable of coming in on Water-types with little issue, Toxicroak filled quite a few issues this team has defensively. Swords Dance allowed Croak to become a grave threat that was capable of blasting past most Pokemon. Gunk Shot's accuracy buff was just what the doctor ordered as it gives Toxicroak a powerful STAB move that has reasonable accuracy. Drain Punch is cool since it let Croak bash heads in and stay healthy at the same time. Sucker Punch finished out the set by giving me a form of priority to stop random Scarf stuff from ruining me. As Sucker Punch lets Toxicroak get past faster threats, I used an Adamant nature to pump up the damage output. Life Orb is... well, obvious. Why would I not use it when I have Drain Punch?

Flare Fawkes (Delphox) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Fire Blast
- Grass Knot
Delphox was the replacement for Azelf and she helped keep the team going with the banishment of Azelf. Running quite literally, the same moveset as Azelf sans Calm Mind, Delphox quickly became the primary special sweeper for the team. After a single Calm Mind boost, the only defensive counter Delphox has is AV Slowking. Otherwise, the only hope the opponent would have is a faster Pokemon or Fire Blast missing. Psyshock screws special walls, and Grass Knot deals with bulky Waters like Gastrodon, Quagsire, and non-AV Slowkings. Honestly, if you haven't given Delphox a spin, I highly urge you to do so. She's really, really good right now.

The Calvary (Escavalier) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 216 Atk / 248 HP / 44 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Megahorn
- Iron Head
- Knock Off
- Drill Run
If it weren't for Torandus, this guy would be the true dominant force in the metagame. With a high Attack stat, great bulk, and a fantastic defensive typing, Escavalier is a top choice for a wallbreaker. Megahorn is the main STAB move to smack around just about anything that comes in. Iron Head is for when I need a reliable hit or if I'm faced with a Fairy-type. Knock Off is super cool as it stops bulky Ghost-types from ruining the fun. Drill Run is just Game Freak's way of trolling us (seriously, why wasn't this a BW2 tutor move?!?) but nontheless, it's very useful to give Escavalier a way around bulky Steel-types like Registeel. EV spread hit the final boost point provided by nature, maximized overall bulk while rounding down passive damage, and augmented the Assault Vest boost by placing some EVs in Special Defense.

Froslass @ Focus Sash
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Destiny Bond
- Shadow Ball
Froslass is a very annoying Pokemon when she gets the chance to shine. This team does that. Thanks to having a powerful wallbreaker and two setup sweepers, Froslass's Spikes will almost never go to waste. Taunt stops opponents from setting up Rocks, Sticky Web, and other random shit. Destiny Bond makes sure that Froslass can take down a foe with it so long as she outspeeds the target. Shadow Ball rounds out the set by giving Lass a way to do damage to stuff like Delphox, Cresselia, and Reuniclus if need be. While the EV spread is missing 4 EVs, it honestly does absolutely nothing as Lass simply wants to get down to Sash reliably to pull off Destiny Bond and Attack is pointless for obvious reasons.

Ralph (Rhyperior) (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 248 HP / 16 Atk / 244 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Dragon Tail
- Rock Blast
Anyone who has played BW RU knows how cool Rhydon was. Well, it only makes sense that its evolution, Rhyperior, would be fantastic in XY RU. And survey says.... YES! Bad Family Feud puns aside, Rhyperior is a really cool Pokemon in the tier. With great physical bulk, solid Attack, and respectable special bulk, Rhyperior makes for a very reliable Stealth Rock user. Earthquake deals serious damage to most things it hits neutrally. Dragon Tail is there to take advantage of the Spikes that Froslass is able to set and can keep Defog users from getting in at will. Rock Blast breaks Sashes and Subs, thus making it the better choice over Stone Edge imo. The EVs focus on special bulk while still making sure Rhyperior hits with good power.

TrueBeauty (Milotic) (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Competitive
EVs: 152 HP / 220 SAtk / 136 Def
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Recover
Ah, Milotic. How I loved using you so much. So, yeah, Competitive Milotic is a great Pokemon for this team as she can deter the use of Defog to remove the Spikes Froslass sets early-game. With a +2 boost to her Special Attack, heavy investment with a Life Orb, and a Modest nature, Milotic is capable of hitting very hard. Even without the boost though, Milotic fills the role of a solid bulky attacker capable of taking hits and returning the favor with good power. Hydro Pump is the main attack and it will do a lot of damage to most things without a resistance. Ice Beam smacks around pesky Grass-types that think Milotic is more defensive in nature. HP Grass finishes the coverage by giving Milotic a way around bulky Water-types like Gastrodon and Alomomola, though she will admittedly need a boost to get around Jellicent and Slowking. Recover rounds out the set by giving Milotic reliable recovery as she will likely have to take some hits to give them out. The EV spread is fairly odd. 220 Special Attack EVs hits the final boost point provided by nature while 152 HP EVs hits 369 HP, a good Life Orb number to go after. The rest is thrown into Defense so Milotic can stand up to some neutral physical attacks. Even without full focus on physical bulk, this Milotic is capable of taking on the likes of Escavalier, Zoroark, and Tornadus if the situation calls for it.
Conclusion
While this team certainly had issues with Ground-types, it served me very well while it lasted. As two of the core parts were Toxicroak and Milotic, I don't see how I can keep the team the same, and feel it's better served to just retire it. Of course, comments and criticisms are always welcome as no team is ever perfect, retired or not. Thanks for taking the time to read and hope you found it entertaining! ~
