[Set Comments]

•has a variety of gluey uses, not usually on the field for more than a couple turns at a time.
•pick off weakened pokes with feint
•bullet punch can ko frailer pokes weakened or no weakened, as well as kill weaks
•bug bite is cool for stealing sitrus, in addition fuck cress
•u-turn can be used over bug bite, you lose power but it's great for setup
•protect bc protect
•superpower can be used over feint if you hate steels but it's rly not worth it usually
•acro will ko fighting types faster than bullet punch, but aside from dickmontop its turning 2hkos into ohkoes so its only really super useful for hitmondick
•flying gem if acro
•occa lets you survive unstab fire hits, but steel gem makes your first bullet punch a real terror

[Additional Comments]

•EVs are pretty obvious we like bulk and atk
•good Skymin counter for rain again
•can run aerial ace > acro if you dont want to give up your item slot but its a lot weaker
•Works well on virtually any team, but especially slower ones since it can switch in and snipe faster Pokemon that threaten you

[Set Comments]

•SD, kill all with STABs
•Steel Gem because after SD it makes BP 3x as powerful as an unboosted one which hurts
•occa berry for opponents who try to deal with scizor through coverage fire move
•Packs more punch than the other set but requires a lot of support to truly clean with SD

[Additional Comments]

•EVs same as above for obviousness
•Despite good power, STABs very wallable—needs help with steels, fires.
•Enjoys speed control for the wide variety of things faster than it not koed by bullet punch
•Fits better on bulkier teams that can give it the support it needs to sweep
•can run lum because burns suck
•no spread moves so make sure youre not letting it take a hit every time it attacks by providing follow me or offense support

[Other Options]

•band but not switching moves is urine
•faster scizor spreads but hes not ohkoing any common base 70s or 80s anyway
•life orb gives a more consistent power but is damaging to scizor's usable natural bulk and dragon resistance
•natural gift can be run over superpower if you were considering superpower + occa, it uses your berry but it gets ferro better and now gets other scizor and still gets bisharp
•persim if youre running a swaggerer is fun
•pursuit for bitch cress who try to run
•roost for survivability but direct recovery really isnt too good in general and you lose your coverage move or something
•can run a tailwind setter bulky set

in general you can outdamage scizor if you're not weak to one of its moves

counters sd, but not utility:
smart protecting
taunt

counters utility, but not sd:
natural bulk and a strong neutral STAB

i think u-turn is oo or ac material to be honest; the only benefit to it that i can see is that you can maybe get a free switch in. even then scizor is probably better off manually switching because i know i don't want to switch back in every time i want to 2hko a cress.

the first set should be something like this to be honest;

evs could be changed to outspeed 0 speed base 70's, but thats a bit speed creepish. superpower is also kinda meh but i wouldnt be too surprised if it hits something important (that bug bite doesn't) that im forgetting. acrobatics is to ohko fighting types so thats cool because some can ohko it with gemmed close combats. if there ever was a set to stick tailwind on, it would be this one. either replace superpower with tailwind or stick tailwind in ac.

second set could use a little tweaking;

im not sure about lum getting a place on a main set even though i know its good because its rather situational. mostly changed up the order (you're using scizor for bullet punch so it should be the first move on the set), and changed iron plate to steel gem and lum to occa. steel gem is better for more immediate power (after swords dance you're basically using a +3 bullet punch as opposed to like +2.2 or something) and occa lets you live fire moves coming from pokemon not named volcarona, chandelure or heatran.

oo could have natural gift+occa berry for other scizor, aerial ace, pursuit, lum/persim (swagger), and roost. life orb should go here if it should go anywhere on this analysis because scizor needs to be able to switch in to stuff and life orb isnt helping that cause.
 
thanks luke but i do have a couple things to say about your suggestions:

0) superpower is mostly used to hit ferrothorn but also bisharp and slower tran
1) i distinctly remember my scizor being ohkoed by a mence's fire blast through occa but calcs tell me it cant happen wtf brain im adding occa in
2) by a tailwind set i meant a bulkier set like the one in cstick's rmt which is basically mostly about tailwind and thus uses diff evs and strategy and cant be slapped on the utility set
3) i put lum in SD's ac not in oo because really fuck burns
4) i put superpower before acrobatics because the only fighting pokemon acro really helps with is hitmontop since all the others are 2hkoed by bullet punch and you can hit twice with bp just as easily as hitting once with acro

other than that i implemented your suggestions, other people / lucariojr feel free to set me straight if some of my judgments were wrong

im still looking for opinions on a tw set / other comments / stamps :D
 
You should mention Excadrll as an absolutely hilarious partner to Scizor - it can survive one EQ from Excadrill barring the occasional ofuck crit (fuck crits), and if both enemy mons are threatened out/KO'd then Scizor can SD up which can lead to your opponent suddenly having a very bad day.
 
In terms of Tailwind, I'm in favor of writing it up, though in reality it is more or less a slash on the Swords Dance set anyway, which imo would be better off as "Offensive" or such. A bulky one is probably more of an OO imo, though I have never tried it. One option that seems to be overlooked is Bug Gem Bug Bite, which has a chance to OHKO offensive Cresselia. Its real utility is against other things, it can blow holes it a lot of things, while Bullet Punch doesn't have the power to do so, worth an OO mention at least. Also, if we're going to mention Roost in OO, we might as well add it Substitute, lol. I honestly feel it is missing something too, but I just don't know what. ;-;
