Singles Break that Core (Week 17: Hippowdon + Lucario + Dragonite) ~ VOTING (post #395)

Manectric-Mega @ Manectite
Ability: Lightning Rod
Level: 50
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power
- Overheat
- Volt Switch

note: That is hidden power ice due to the ivs :)
You can 1v1 thundurus and escape mega gengar with volt switch followed by finishing it off later with a tbolt to avoid dbond! Also, lightningrod pre-mega on the switch into a twave is amazing. To add on to this, if Thundurus is at plus 2 you can volt switch out and ko it back in later with tbolt (or with your partner who resists focus blast *AHEM*), or volt switch again if not in range! You always avoid sure-defeat unlike most of the others' noms down below who can be setup fodder and end up costing you the whole game!
If this isn't mega gengar, well you have an even higher chance of winning!!!

But we can nominate cores not just single mons and so what would be a good partner to volt switch into and resist or eat up the moves Gengar or especially plus 2 Thundurus would fire off?

Landorus-Therian @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- U-Turn
- Knock Off / Superpower
- Stone Edge

Now I know what you're thinking. HP Ice decimates Lando. BUT, Manectric can handle Thundurus after volt switching if it is an Offensive variant. Plus, plus 2 Thundurus cannot ohko Manectric with hp ice and thunderbolt does more damage resisted than a neutral hp ice anyway and still cant ohko at plus 2 so Focus Blast is the best move! Regardless, if Lando DOES faint, Manectric can still finish off offensive Thundurus variants. If Thundurus is the bulky spdef variant, it is highly UNLIKELY it will carry hp ice so Lando can take care of Thundurus and opposing Gengar nicely granted you opt for Knock Off or you land Stone Edges!

Needless to say, Landorus-T can handle nonMega Gengar easy with Knock Off and Mega with EQ, can also escape shadow tag with u-turn if necessary, and can always just Stone Edge everything with that Adamant absurd base 140 (or what is it 145??? lol) attack stat!

And again, I'd like to emphasize that Manectric can handle all Thundurus variants very nicely except for the max spdef hp variants which don't carry hp ice most of the time (if not all the time) so Lando can just come in and weaken it/knocking sitrus berry off so MegaMan is guaranteed to clean up if you wanna play it safe, or just KO with Stone Edge if necessary.

Kinda just came upon this thread rn, and may as well post ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Diancie-Mega @ Diancite
Ability: Magic Bounce
EVs: 252atk / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Diamond Storm
- Rock Polish
- Moonblast
- Earth Power
It lives any common hit from the two bar like a bad flash cannon thundy (lol.) sets up a rock polish and ko's both of them with diamond storm with this spread, can set up in regular form if you want to take less damage.
A spread with less atk (80) ko's gengar for sure after one LO hit/ sr switch in, and obviously can't neutered by T-Wave thanks to magic bounce.
This isn't OU dude lol

In Battle Spot, event legends like Diancie are banned.

Chansey @ Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic
- Soft-Boiled
- Shadow Ball

Very simple. Switches in on any attack from either mon (not to mention almost any special hit) and walls this core. While normal sets can't do much to Gengar, I've included Shadow Ball to hit Gengar (as well as Aegislash, which normally walls this set). Shadow Ball also ensures that this set isn't completely rekt by Taunt. Aside from that though, Taunt isn't even on the usage stats for Gengar lol.

I'll put my calcs in a sec, I'm just reserving Chansey for now.

Goodra @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 240 HP / 252 SpA / 16 Spe
Modest Nature
- Earthquake/Draco Meteor
- Sludge Bomb
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Pulse
AV Goodra is a painfully annoying mon to these two having stellar special bulk when equipped with av
252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Hidden Power Ice vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 78-94 (20.4 - 24.6%) -- guaranteed 5HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Sludge Wave vs. 240 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Goodra: 95-113 (24.9 - 29.6%) -- 100% chance to 4HKO
Dragon pulse nails both for the 2hko, draco meteor being an option able to OHKO non mega gengar and thundy

Weavile @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Jolly Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Knock Off
- Ice Shard
- Low Kick

If you're up against Gengar first it's pretty easy, Knock Off followed by Ice Shard will kill any form of Gengar. Focus Blast will leave Weavile at 1 hp from Focus Sash.
Then go against Thundurus and eat a paralyze (or not) and continue to 0HKO with Icicle Crash.

If first up against Thundurus you're going to rely on luck a bit not to get fully paralyzed against Gengar (and he relies on hitting Focus Blast.. battle of RNG).

If it's a scarf'd Thundurus or full tank Thundurus then Weavile will be outsped or very unlikely to 0HKO but in general it should beat most of these duo's.

Low Kick can be replaced with just about anything you need for coverage.

252 Atk Weavile Knock Off vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mega Gengar: 128-152 (94.1 - 111.7%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Weavile Knock Off vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Gengar: 158-188 (116.1 - 138.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Weavile Icicle Crash vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Thundurus: 182-216 (118.1 - 140.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Weavile Icicle Crash vs. 244 HP / 108 Def Thundurus: 158-188 (85.4 - 101.6%) -- 12.5% chance to OHKO

Camerupt-Mega @ Cameruptite
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Will-O-Wisp
- Stealth Rock

Takes hits from both and fires off some strong sheer force boosted stabs. Also immune to wisp and twave. Doesnt take SE damage from any of their common coverage moves. Also can ohko most mega gengars/gengars even without investment. And stealth rocks hurt thund a lot so thats cool.

252 SpA Thundurus Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Camerupt: 24-29 (13.5 - 16.3%) -- possible 7HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Camerupt: 31-38 (17.5 - 21.4%) -- possible 5HKO
252 SpA Thundurus Grass Knot (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Camerupt: 47-56 (26.5 - 31.6%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Grass Knot (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Camerupt: 61-73 (34.4 - 41.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO (worst case scenario)
4 SpA Sheer Force Mega Camerupt Fire Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Thundurus: 135-159 (87.6 - 103.2%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO

4 SpA Thundurus Grass Knot (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Camerupt: 39-46 (22 - 25.9%) -- 3.5% chance to 4HKO
4 SpA Sheer Force Mega Camerupt Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Thundurus: 93-111 (50 - 59.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Gastrodon @ Expert Belt
Ability: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 HP / 116 SpA / 140 SpD
Calm Nature
- Surf
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Recover

This mon can easily break through most standard Gengar and Thundurus sets with ease. (It however those struggles with Grass Knot and Energy Ball variants but those are rare i guess :P) What makes this mon so good is how it is immune to TWave and can easily 2HKO both mons. As seen here

116 SpA Expert Belt Gastrodon Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Thundurus: 106-125 (56.9 - 67.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
116 SpA Gastrodon Surf vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gengar: 67-81 (50 - 60.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
116 SpA Expert Belt Gastrodon Earth Power vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Mega Gengar: 137-161 (100.7 - 118.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

And defensively

252+ SpA Mega Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 140+ SpD Gastrodon: 84-100 (38.5 - 45.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 140+ SpD Gastrodon: 90-107 (41.2 - 49%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Thundurus Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 140+ SpD Gastrodon: 44-52 (20.1 - 23.8%) -- guaranteed 5HKO

Sableye @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster -> Magic Bounce
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 HP
Careful Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Knock Off
- Foul Play
- Recover

252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Sableye: 66-78 (42 - 49.6%)
252 SpA Mega Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Sableye: 55-66 (35 - 42%)

Sableye can sit in front of these two all day, blocking status and wearing them down with burns and Foul Play. It's annoyed a little by Shadow Ball drops and Sludge Bomb poisons but otherwise takes them both on convincingly, while also being a great safeguard against Swagger strategies and Mega Kangaskhan.

Klefki @ Leftovers / Mental Herb
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Swagger
- Foul Play
- Rest
/ Thunder Wave
- Sleep Talk / Substitute / Safeguard

I always wanted to try RestTalk Klefki (albeit a Calm Mind one) but I think a SwagPlay combined set would be fun here. You really only need Swagger + Foul Play to beat these two, so the last two moveslots are really up for whatever you want. Klefki can get worn down pretty easily since it only has Lefties / Sitrus for health, so Rest takes it back to full (cures Thund's T-Wave) and can use priority Sleep Talk to continue the onslaught. Killing Mega Gengar through confusion is great for avoiding Destiny Bond, and if you select Foul Play through priority Sleep Talk then it avoids it too.

You can forego the extra health from Lefties for a Mental Herb so that the 18% of Thundurus running Taunt can't stop you, which allows you to get a Swagger off on it and let's you then 2HKO with Foul Play.

You can also forget the RestTalk part of this set and go standard with T-Wave + Sub but that really needs Lefties for health which means Taunt is annoying. The Rest set gives plenty of health which is why Mental Herb is a viable alternative...

Defensive:

252 SpA Mega Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Klefki: 67-79 (40.8 - 48.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Offensive:

0- Atk Klefki Foul Play vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mega Gengar: 56-66 (33.5 - 39.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Defensive:

252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Klefki: 78-94 (47.5 - 57.3%) -- 33.2% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Offensive:

0- Atk Klefki Foul Play vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Thundurus: 49-58 (31.6 - 37.4%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery

+2 0- Atk Klefki Foul Play vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Thundurus: 96-114 (61.9 - 73.5%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery

0- Atk Klefki Foul Play vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Thundurus: 48-57 (25.8 - 30.6%) -- guaranteed 5HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery

+2 0- Atk Klefki Foul Play vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Thundurus: 96-113 (51.6 - 60.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery

0- Atk Klefki Foul Play vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Thundurus: 33-39 (17.7 - 20.9%) -- possible 6HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery

+2 0- Atk Klefki Foul Play vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Thundurus: 65-77 (34.9 - 41.3%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery

+4 0- Atk Klefki Foul Play vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Thundurus: 97-115 (52.1 - 61.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery

Excadrill @ Life Orb
Ability: Sand Rush
Level: 50

Adamant Nature

Welp, most of the good nominations are gone now...
Nominating Sand Offense! Firstly Tyranitar comes in and sets up sand:
If you see Gengar, tap Crunch.
If you see Thundurus, tap Stone Miss.
Once Tyranitar dies to Focus Miss, Excadrill comes in and cleans.
(It's possible Tyranitar takes out both mons due to extreme luck also.)

Calcs
252 Atk Tyranitar Crunch vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Gengar: 168-198 (124.4 - 146.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Tyranitar Crunch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Thundurus: 93-111 (60 - 71.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage

Sableye-Mega @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster -> Magic Bounce
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
- Recover
- Taunt

I have another mega Sableye, a specially bulky calm mind setter. It lives with more than 50 % of the hardest attack gengar can throw at him since calm mind gets priority with prankster. Status moves are thrown back be ause of magic bounce so thundurus cant swagger it or anything. Then the strategy is to calm mind and ko with shadow ball. It can taunt thundurus so it cant set up with nasty plot also.

252+ SpA Mega Gengar Dazzling Gleam vs. +1 252 HP / 252+ SpD Mega Sableye: 56-66 (35.6 - 42%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

I am going to do something odd now. I was debating whether or not to use Porygon2 yesterday afternoon but meh~

Porygon2 @ Eviolite
ability: Trace
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
nature: Calm
- Foul Play
- Swagger / Discharge
- Magic Coat
- Recover

I wanted to throw in a surprise instead with Magic Coat Porygon2! With the ability Trace, Porygon2 is able to copy any move on a switch-in, meaning if Mega Gengar and Porygon2 were battling, it means that Porygon2 can trace Mega Gengar's Shadow Tag. This allows for Porygon2 to not be trapped and freely switch out into a better counter to Mega Gengar. As a bonus, Porygon2 is immune to Ghost-type attacks, which makes Shadow Ball, Hex, etc useless. As for Thundurus Porygon2 can use Prankster to its advantage once Thundurus faints and Mega Gengar switches in. Porygon2 would be able to Recover or Swagger Mega Gengar first from Prankster. Foul Play will help break Mega Gengar's Substitutes. Magic Coat is the bread and butter of this set. It works as a Magic Bounce in a way but....without the Magic Bounce ability and wasting a moveslot and can be used to play mindgames or surprise your opponents. Sending back entry hazards, Leech Seed, Torment, stats moves, Swagger, Thunder Wave, Taunt, Will-O-Wisp, etc right back at them. This'll prevent Thundurus from paralyzing or forcing Porygon2 to attack. This would prevent Mega Gengar from using Destiny Bond or even Will-O-Wisp if it's running Taunt. If you don't want to use Swagger, Discharge can be used instead to possibly get paralysis off against many threats in the metagame. 252 HP and Special Defense with a Calm nature allows for Porygon2 to take special attacks from both of the threats. Eviolite increases both Porygon2's Defense and Special Defense. All the good ones are taken.

Calcs:

252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Porygon2: 51-60 (26.5 - 31.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
52 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Porygon2: 22-27 (11.4 - 14%) -- possible 8HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Porygon2: 88-104 (45.8 - 54.1%) -- 46.1% chance to 2HKO

252 SpA Mega Gengar Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Porygon2: 51-60 (26.5 - 31.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252 SpA Mega Gengar Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Porygon2: 84-100 (43.7 - 52%) -- 16% chance to 2HKO

0- Atk Porygon2 Foul Play vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mega Gengar: 56-66 (41.1 - 48.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 0- Atk Porygon2 Foul Play vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mega Gengar: 110-130 (80.8 - 95.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0- Atk Porygon2 Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Thundurus: 48-57 (31.1 - 37%) -- 76.4% chance to 3HKO
+2 0- Atk Porygon2 Foul Play vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Thundurus: 96-113 (62.3 - 73.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Sableye @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 116 Def / 140 SpD
Bold Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Calm Mind
- Shadow Ball
- Recover

My solution to beat this core is named Mega sableye.
As you may know, CM Mega sableye is one of the best stallbreakers in the game. That's why we won't speak about support thundurus and gengar : sableye will bounce back any taunt, thunder wave, will-o-wisp or disable from them. The only support move he fears is gengar's skill swap. Sableye can 2HKO any gengar set with a strong shadow ball, so skill swap gengar's not really a problem.
Perish trapper mega gengar won't bother sableye at all, because of sableye's ability to switch out at any moment because of its ghost-type.

But on the other side... Offensive thundurus and gengar ?
Sableye's EV repartition allows him to eat a max damage LO T-bolt or shadow ball from a MODEST thundurus or gengar, to set up a calm mind, eat a SECOND max damage t-bolt or shadow ball and then recover. Moreover, keep in mind that sableye's pre-mega evolution ability Prankster allows him to setup BEFORE the opponent attacks... Very useful. With a CM up, you just can't get 2HKOed anymore, and you just win against them.
What about physical thundurus ? Well, the 116 EV def allow Sableye to eat a LO Wild Charge form Adamant Thundurus, to burn him and then just recover stall...

The biggest problem is gengar's Dazzling gleam... If the ghost's carrying it, coupled with a life orb and a modest nature, and if it comes on unboosted mega evolved sableye, you're dead... But if you manage to set a CM up beofre getting hit, with prankster for example, you just win.

Let the calcs speak !

Defensive calcs :

252+ SpA Life Orb Thundurus Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 140+ SpD Mega Sableye: 75-91 (47.7 - 57.9%) -- 94.9% chance to 2HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Thundurus Thunderbolt vs. +1 252 HP / 140+ SpD Mega Sableye: 52-62 (33.1 - 39.4%) -- 99.3% chance to 3HKO
No 2HKO here, you can calc...

252+ SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 140+ SpD Mega Sableye: 70-83 (44.5 - 52.8%) -- 26.2% chance to 2HKO
252+ SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. +1 252 HP / 140+ SpD Mega Sableye: 47-56 (29.9 - 35.6%) -- 30% chance to 3HKO
Here neither, gengar isn't strong enough...

252 SpA Mega Gengar Dazzling Gleam vs. 252 HP / 140+ SpD Mega Sableye: 80-96 (50.9 - 61.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Mega Gengar Dazzling Gleam vs. +1 252 HP / 140+ SpD Mega Sableye: 56-66 (35.6 - 42%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
You almost can't get 2HKOed, gengar needs 2 max rolls to score the knock out !

252+ Atk Life Orb Thundurus Wild Charge vs. 252 HP / 116 Def Mega Sableye: 75-91 (47.7 - 57.9%) -- 94.9% chance to 2HKO
After a will-o-wisp, Physical thundurus is nothing...

252+ SpA Life Orb Gengar Dazzling Gleam vs. +1 252 HP / 140+ SpD Mega Sableye: 62-75 (39.4 - 47.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
And that's it. Even a max power dazzling gleam does not 2HKO you.

Offensive calcs :

+1 0 SpA Mega Sableye Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Thundurus: 72-85 (46.7 - 55.1%) -- 70.7% chance to 2HKO
+1 0 SpA Mega Sableye Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Thundurus: 72-85 (38.7 - 45.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Mega Sableye Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gengar: 102-120 (76.1 - 89.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Mega Sableye Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Gengar: 102-120 (61.4 - 72.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
0 SpA Mega Sableye Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mega Gengar: 84-102 (50.2 - 61%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 0 SpA Mega Sableye Shadow Ball vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Gengar: 150-176 (111.9 - 131.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
+1 0 SpA Mega Sableye Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Gengar: 150-176 (90.3 - 106%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
+1 0 SpA Mega Sableye Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mega Gengar: 126-150 (75.4 - 89.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Two people already nominated mega sableye.
that's 3 now.
THS has WoW AND a mixed spread while the other 2 have spdef builds that still differ because one is calm mind and the other is knock off foul play wisp

On this note I'd like to add more to my nom by saying that these can all be dbonded or set up and swept by nasty plot thundy while MegaMan can avoid dbond and deal with em before they KO him :)

Is just willowisp really enough to differentiate it from the other CM set? I mean, both the pokemon this core are special attackers so its not like wisp or physical investment is all that groundbreaking. And mixed/physical thund is so uncommon, the only physical move for thundurus in the top 10 is

I don't mean to sound/come off as rude but i'd like to point out Nasty Plot Thundurus can muscle through a lot of the mons nominated
Sableye: +2 252 SpA Thundurus Thunderbolt vs. +1 248 HP / 136 SpD Mega Sableye: 151-178 (49.8 - 58.7%) -- 99.6% chance to 2HKO
The porygon set would be setup fodder for any nplot set, outside of SwagPlay (what beats that though lmao)
+2 252 SpA Life Orb Thundurus Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Eviolite Porygon2: 330-390 (88.2 - 104.2%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO +any hit from gengar would ko
Gastrodon: +2 252 SpA Thundurus Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 140+ SpD Gastrodon: 232-274 (54.4 - 64.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery +252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 140+ SpD Gastrodon: 156-185 (36.6 - 43.4%) -- 98.6% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery = guaranteed ko
I'm sure nplot isn't the most common set, but it is out there
Edit: I didn't see GroudonEmpire's post pointing this out till now, but i guess i just elaborated on it

that's 3 now.

My sableye has taunt so cant be swept that easily by thundurus.

Sorry for being a little late but voting time! Make sure to put your votes in bold. Lots of nominations this week.

teamjohto : Lum Dragonite
GroudonEmpire : Mega Manectric + Scarf Landorus-T
6tennis : Shadow Ball Chansey
manga team : Assault Vest Goodra
Benzi : Focus Sash Weavile
NOVED : Mega Camerupt
Mishimono : Expert Belt Gastrodon
ethan06 : SpDef Mega Sableye
cant say : SpDef Resttalk Klefki
bobochan : Scarf Tyranitar + LO Excadrill Sand HO
freekhoorn : Calm Mind Mega Sableye
Misaka Mikoto : SpDef Magic Coat Porygon2
THS : MixDef WoW Mega Sableye

After thinking about it I'm going to vote for bobochan. Scarf Tyranitar alone puts in a lot of work against this core, and the Excadrill in the back can outspeed, is immune to twave, and can finish the job.

bobochan sand offense is really cool and exca is cool and strong. being immune to twave + outspeeding both under sand is cool. also pursuit is cool cause fug switching.

NOVED Camerupt is just such a solid pokemon as it has a typing that resisits or is at least to neutral to these guys Wild Coverage.

My vote this week goes to Benzi and his Weavile (was gonna nominate it but he beat me to it) :3
Weavile is extremely efficient at dealing with this core while being a major threat to a lot of popular mons like Garchomp/Mamoswine/Serperior.
With the Sash and a bit of luck (depending on vs Gengar or Thundurus first/or para/swagger etc), its capable of taking both down.
Icicle Crash is an easy OHKO to Garchomp and Landorus-T (at -1), Serperior and Mamoswine (if running Life Orb).
