Ability: Chlorophyll
EVs: 232 HP / 180 Def / 80 SpD / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Venusaur as a counter. Thanks to the combination of its typing and anility, M-Venusaur can pretty much tank any hit Mawile wants to throw at it bar the rare Iron Head and just Synthesis the damage off or start chipping its HP with Hidden-Power Fire. SD sets are more annoying to face as they can 2hko Venu at +2 with Play Rough so smart scouting is recommended. A more offensive set can be used to 2hko Mawile with Hp-Fire after rocks to prevent it from getting crits or stall too many Synthesises.

252+ Atk Huge Power Mawile-Mega Play Rough vs. 232 HP / 180+ Def Venusaur-Mega: 91-108 (25.3 - 30%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

Hard check even with rocks up, you Sub up on Sucker Punch and kill with Z-EQ 100% of the time. (Unless they're good enough to win 4 50/50 with your Substitute, although very few players will not Sucker Punch, especially against a non-full Dugtrio).

Physically defensive Landorus-T as a Hard Check

Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 24 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power Ice / Stone Edge
- U-turn / Swords Dance

This well-known blanket check to physical attackers also does its job pretty well against M-Mawile. With Intimidate (hoping M-Mawile already MegaEvolved or didn't have Hyper Cutter before doing so), Landorus-T bolsters its physical bulk to new heights and enables it to avoid being 2HKOed most of the time by M-Mawaile after SR. Offensively speaking, aside from being faster than M-Mawile (Sucker Punch not taken into account), Landorus-T's Earthquake almost always OHKOes M-Mawile after SR (it won't KO only if it's a minimum roll) and always KOes it after a single Rocky Helmet recoil (from Sucker Punch or a previous attack). Finally, if Landorus-T switches into M-Mawile's SD, a +1 Sucker Punch doesn't come close to OHKO Landorus-T.
-1 252+ Atk Huge Power Mawile-Mega Fire Fang vs. 252 HP / 216+ Def Landorus-Therian: 72-85 (18.8 - 22.2%) -- 0.2% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock

- Will-O-Wisp

(I believe this is different enough from the previously posted tran?) the actual ev spread was some secret custom shit so we'll go with fast fat tran's spread this one that's almost halfway there. Run some Def if you want more insurance.. A general utility set, hard to kill tran that racks up chip.
If you switch in on SD, you wisp on either sucker, taking no damage and going on to be a full counter, or taking a knock off (highest damage move against tran)

+2 252+ Atk Huge Power burned Mawile-Mega Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Heatran: 189-222 (48.9 - 57.5%) -- 53.1% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252+ Atk Huge Power burned Mawile-Mega Sucker Punch vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Heatran: 136-161 (35.2 - 41.7%) -- 80.7% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

57.5 + 41.7 = 99.2

Now you can either roar it out on predicted sucker so it's not an issue, or go for the OHKO with fire miss. Maw would need max rolls on both that initial knock and the sucker on your attack along with an EH down to get a KO on tran.

Mega Charizard-X as a Check.

Mega Charizard-X is a solid check to Mega mawile. Mega Zard-X just blows back Mawile with a Flare Blitz. Charizard-X resists most of Mega Mawile's moves. So Zard-x can come in some moves of Mega Mawile like Thunder Punch, Fire fang, Knock Off, Iron Head or even if you predict the sucker punch. (assuming you already Mega'd your Charizard.) So if, you predict right, you can switch into Mawile on any of these moves. Even Play Rough is a roll on Zard-x, Mega Mawile will legit need an absolute max roll. (max roll is 100.3%) But yea, Mega Zard-X is a check so you really don't want to switch into Mega mawile especially if rocks are up unless you don't have another choice. Sucker also only does 52% max, so you can easily take a sucker punch and live the Flare Blitz recoil assuming you are near full health or at least 80%+. If Mega Mawile is at +2, then sucker punch is a roll on Zard-x. So if you don't want to risk the rolls, you can in theory win the 50/50s. You can also run the bulky Zard-x set with Will-o-wisp, that will 100% check it even at at +2, and its actually a solid counter to Mega Mawile. Bulky Zard-x isn't really good in the current meta, so that's why I didn't choose it.

Keldeo is a safe way to revenge kill Mawile, unless you take a crit at +3 or more or allowed Mawile to setup 3 Swords Dances, Keldeo will always be able to hit Mawile after Sucker Punch, if Mawile is already weakened to 90% or less, you can just beat it with Scald, if not you have Hydro Pump, able to OHKO Mawile 100% of the time even without Rocks, so Keldeo will always beat Mawile-Mega on 1v1 unless it misses.

Rotom can come in on any of mawile attack (except for focus punch), and get a free will-o-wisp off. Rocky helmet especially punishes many of the things rotom is great at checking. Overheat OHKOs mawile, so chances are it leaves. Volt switch is great for keeping momentum. Pain Split is recovery, but resto-chesto can work nicely as well, since rocks are a problem for this. Partners great with wish alomomola and AV tangrowth to form an awesome defensive FWG core. Rotom-heat also does an excellent job of checking other huge threats like mega metagross, mega scizor and lando-t lacking stone edge.

Primarina ended up being a surprisingly neat check for M-Mawile during the suspect ladder, so I might as well add it here. You either have to sack a mon or predict a Sucker Punch to throw Prima in. After that, just click Hydro Pump and watch it die (or HP Fire/Scald if if Mawile has 90% HP or less).

As Check

Yes even though I don't recommend hard switching this in, it is a good check too it because it brings Psychic Terrain, causing Sucker Punch to be immune, and has the chance to OHKO with Hidden Power Fire or Focus Blast, but since the opponent knows it dies and it's the win con, he'll probably switch out and you can flex on them by predicting.

Defensive Volcarona always beats non sedge Mega Mawile before rocks. It can heal up any damage with Roost, get a faster burn off with will-o-wisp and OHKO with Fiery Dance. It can also use Mawile as set-up-fodder. You have to look out for Stone Edge, thankfully uncommon, though. This Volcarona set can even burn Mega Mawile with Flame Body. It pretty much nullifies Mega Mawile in a game, and also checks Mega Metagross among other threats.

Okay I'm going to start enforcing this 6 hour nomination rule because I'm consistently seeing people reserve Pokemon and not finishing them. Just fyi. If it's past the 6 hour mark, your reservation post will be deleted so other people who may not be familiar with the rules will be able to reserve themselves.

I think that the reservation limit time should be extended to 24 hours, 6 hours aren't enough for who is going to sleep/work

6 Hours is a perfectly valid timeframe. Sure its not always convieniant and life can get in the way but if your intending to post its only fair on others if you do it quickly and you should have some idea of your schedule. Sometimes stuff happens and we miss out but thats life.
