Zygarde @ Choice Band
Ability: Aura Break
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Thousand Arrows
- Extreme Speed
- Iron Tail / Toxic
- Outrage / Toxic

Zygarde has great typing and bulk which allows it to act as a bulky tank. Choice Band patches up Zygarde's average Atk and allows it to spam its Ground STAB, Thousand Arrows without fear of a Ground immunity. Iron Tail is used as a coverage move to dent Tapu Bulu and Clefable while Extreme Speed can be used to pick off threats. Outrage is used as the last move so that Tangrowth doesn't wall this set completely.

Tangrowth @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 212 Def / 48 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Giga Drain
- Knock Off
- Sleep Powder
- Hidden Power Ice

Physically defensive Tangrowth is a Counter to CB Zygarde, as it's gargantuan physical bulk allows it to easily tank all of Zygarde's moves, even an Outrage, only risking a 2HKO after Stealth Rock from the move. Rocky Helmet allows Tangrowth to chip away at Zygarde's health with each ESpeed or Outrage it takes, and Regenerator keeps Tang healthy as it switches into Zygarde. HP Ice is a clean 2HKO on Zygarde, and Tang can also put Zygarde out of commission with Sleep Powder. Overall, outside of Outrage with hazard support, Tangrowth can easily counter CB Zygarde with it's bulk, ability to keep itself healthy, and ability to threaten it out with 2 of it's moves.

252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Outrage vs. 248 HP / 212+ Def Tangrowth: 171-202 (42.4 - 50.1%) -- 0.4% chance to 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Outrage vs. 248 HP / 212+ Def Tangrowth: 171-202 (42.4 - 50.1%) -- 92.6% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Thousand Arrows vs. 248 HP / 212+ Def Tangrowth: 63-75 (15.6 - 18.6%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Extreme Speed vs. 248 HP / 212+ Def Tangrowth: 76-90 (18.8 - 22.3%) -- 0.5% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock

0 SpA Tangrowth Hidden Power Ice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Zygarde: 200-236 (56 - 66.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Mega Scizor as a counter

scizor-mega.gif

Scizor @ Scizorite
Ability: Light Metal
EVs: 248 HP / 116 Def / 128 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Swords Dance
- Roost
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn

Mega Scizor can easily enter on all the Zygarde moves (even with rocks) and roost/setup until it gets +6.
With Toxic it's even easier, since it's a steel type

252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Thousand Arrows vs. 248 HP / 116+ Def Scizor-Mega: 127-150 (37 - 43.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

+6 0 Atk Technician Scizor-Mega Bullet Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zygarde: 312-367 (87.3 - 102.8%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO

+6 0 Atk Scizor-Mega U-turn vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zygarde: 364-429 (101.9 - 120.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Reserving M-Slowbro as a counter.
slowbro-mega.gif

Slowbro-Mega @ Slowbronite
Ability: Shell Armor
EVs: 248 HP / 60 Def / 200 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock

Mega-Slowbro can hang with Banded Zygarde for days and use it as set-up fodder. 60 Def EV's and a neutral nature are all you need to avoid a 2HKO even after Rocks. And best of all, you don't even have to fear crits courtesy of Shell Armor. All this before even scoring a potential Scald burn. Which, by the way, you only need one Calm Mind to start getting into 2HKO range on Zygarde. If you really want to mess up Band Zygarde, max phys def actually has a slim chance of not even being 3HKO'd after Rocks (though that's hardly worth the lack of special defense investment). As is though, this set doesn't require any sort of odd gimmick to deal with Band Zygarde which makes it a great answer while still being viable for the meta in general.

For all these reasons, I believe M-Slowbro to be a perfect Band Zygarde counter.

252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Outrage vs. 248 HP / 60 Def Slowbro-Mega: 154-183 (39.1 - 46.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

+1 0 SpA Slowbro-Mega Scald vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Zygarde: 169-201 (47.2 - 56.1%) -- 80.9% chance to 2HKO

M-Zor is the best counter imo (Toxic is a thing).

Anyway, taking MegaGross as a Check

metagross-mega.gif

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Earthquake / Hammer Arm
- Ice Punch

Ice Punch MegaGross is a pretty nice check to CB Zygarde, even though it gets destroyed by 1k Arrows, Zygarde's most spammable move. This is partly due to how well MegaGross sponges all of Zygarde's other moves (including the possible Toxic!). It's also much faster than Zygarde, meaning once both are on the field, MegaGross will outspeed and OHKO Zygarde with Ice Punch. The best way to confront CB Zygarde with MegaGross is either via slow VoltTurn / Baton Pass (any other mon but Scolipede still using that?), after a teammate faints or when it's locked into Outrage.
252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Extreme Speed vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Metagross-Mega: 42-50 (13.9 - 16.6%) -- possible 6HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Iron Tail vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Metagross-Mega: 52-62 (17.2 - 20.5%) -- possible 5HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Outrage vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Metagross-Mega: 94-111 (31.2 - 36.8%) -- 100% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Thousand Arrows vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Metagross-Mega: 284-336 (94.3 - 111.6%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO (guaranteed OHKO after SR... ouch!)

252 Atk Tough Claws Metagross-Mega Ice Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Zygarde: 396-468 (110.6 - 130.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Reserving Protean Ninja as a check
greninja.gif

Greninja @ Life Orb
Ability: Protean
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Spikes
- Gunk Shot

Thanks to STAB Ice Beam Greninja can easily revenge kill Zygarde locked into enything besides Extreme Speed. It can even take advantage of the switch it forces and lay up Spikes which are really good in this meta with the current state of hazard removal

mimikyu.gif

Mimikyu @ Fairium Z
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Play Rough
- Shadow Claw
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance

Twinkle Tackle Mimikyu as a counter. Mimikyu is immune to two of Zygarde's attacks and thanks to its ability it will always survive Thousand Arrows or Iron Tail. It can switch in, sacrifice it's Disguise and OHKO Zygarde with Twinkle Tackle.

252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Thousand Arrows vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mimikyu: 243-286 (96.8 - 113.9%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Mimikyu Twinkle Tackle (175 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zygarde: 378-446 (105.8 - 124.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Tapu Lele as a check
tapulele.gif

Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature / Modest Nature
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power Fire

Tapu Lele work well to revenge kill Zygarde because it doesn't care about priority, Scarf need a roll to OHKO (but it's almost guaranteed with rocks even if Timid), so being faster with a high chance of OHKOing and with Psychic Terrain to prevent ESpeed, Lele beats Zygarde CB pretty well, Modest have an awesome chance of OHKOing even without Rocks, but it doesn't outspeed Alakazam-Mega. While Scarf can be better to don't risk a Jolly Zygarde speed tie, Timid Specs can work (Modest ties), since this set is Adamant I think Specs is fine, but I chose Scarf since it's not necessary to risk this.
Timid
252 SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Zygarde: 324-384 (90.5 - 107.2%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Zygarde: 324-384 (90.5 - 107.2%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
Modest
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Zygarde: 356-422 (99.4 - 117.8%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
252+ SpA Tapu Lele Moonblast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Zygarde: 356-422 (99.4 - 117.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

Mamoswine as a Check
473.png

Mamoswine @ Choice Band / Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 240 Atk / 16 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Earthquake
- Icicle Crash
- Ice Shard
- Freeze-Dry / Knock Off / Superpower

Mamoswine is a soft-check to Zygarde. It can't switch in at all due to having a chance of being OHKO'd by CB Outrage and Thousand Arrows 2HKOing it, but it's able to threaten it with STAB Ice attacks. Furthermore, it avoids the 2HKO from E-Speed, so Mamo has to be weakened for Zygarde to avoid being killed by Ice Shard. While LO is the more common item for Mamo, LO actually misses out on actually OHKOing Zygarde with Ice Shard so CB might be better for teams that are weaker to it. However, Zygarde is fairly easy to get chip damage on since your opponent might bring it in on a resisted attack like a Fire Blast or something. Forcing a switch can allow Mamo to cripple something with Knock Off or lure something with Freeze-Dry as well.

252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Extreme Speed vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mamoswine: 144-170 (39.8 - 47%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Outrage vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Mamoswine: 324-382 (89.7 - 105.8%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO
0 - 0%
240 Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zygarde: 296-348 (82.9 - 97.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
240 Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Icicle Crash vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zygarde: 614-723 (171.9 - 202.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO

COUNTER: Defensive Rest Landorus-T

Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 24 SpD / 16 Spe
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Rest
- U-turn

-1 252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Outrage vs. 252 HP / 216+ Def Landorus-Therian: 142-168 (37.1 - 43.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 Atk Landorus-Therian Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Zygarde: 127-150 (35.5 - 42%) -- guaranteed 3HKO + Rocky Helmet damage

With this set you wall this CB Zygarde completely. Rest enhances the utility provided by Rocky Helmet because recharges your HP and cancels the detrimental status, which hit Landorus-T. Rest is useful in attrition matches in order to have your SRocker at full health even during the lategame.

252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Thousand Arrows vs. 248 HP / 244+ Def Mandibuzz: 142-168 (33.5 - 39.7%) -- 21.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 192 Def / 16 SpD / 52 Spe
Calm Nature
- Taunt
- Nature's Madness
- Moonblast
- Defog / Scald

Role: Check

Tapu Fini narrowly avoids the 2HKO from Thousand Arrows if rocks are not up thanks to Leftovers (it only survives about 21.5% of the time if they are, though, which is why I'm listing this as a check and not a counter), is immune to Outrage, takes Iron Tail and Extreme Speed handily, and can avoid Toxic thanks to Misty Terrain, while Moonblast is a clean 2HKO in return.

252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Thousand Arrows vs. 248 HP / 192 Def Tapu Fini: 153-180 (44.6 - 52.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery (78.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock)
252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Iron Tail vs. 248 HP / 192 Def Tapu Fini: 113-133 (32.9 - 38.7%) -- 6.5% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Zygarde Extreme Speed vs. 248 HP / 192 Def Tapu Fini: 90-107 (26.2 - 31.1%) -- 12.1% chance to 4HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Tapu Fini Moonblast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Zygarde: 204-242 (56.9 - 67.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
